It has taken me MONTHS to write this, but I was waiting for our full yard and pool area to be completed and here we are. We got quotes from several pool remodeling companies and Smart Swim came in right in the middle. We are strong believers on "you get what you pay for," and opted to go with them even though they were not the cheapest. From beginning to end, the guys at Smart Swim were easy to work with and truly wanted our project to come out great. After 30 years, it was time for our pool to have a remodel! Through the remodel, it was uncovered that we had many severe leaks, down to the rebar that needed to be fixed in some areas. Sam was great at making sure we understood the severity and that we were okay with any new costs that needed to be added. Not only did they do our pool, but also installed turf by the pool area and put pavers all around the pool and yard area. We also got the new gray gate installed from them as well, to replace the wooden fence in the yard (between the pool). **Noting that the perimeter wall/wooden top was painted black and sanded/stained by a different company. We truly appreciate their hard work and even when we had an immediate death in the family during their time working on our project, they were very respectful and gave us some space as needed. I had a leak in my pool and was looking for an assessment and repair. Nate responded almost immediately and was able to stop by within a couple of hours. He spent about 30 minutes looking over the pool and explaining things to me in detail about how the system works and where potential problems might be. I learned SO much in such a short time! Unfortunately, Smart Swim was not able to address the specific problem I have (likely copper pipes which need repair). He said that they don't repair copper and only replace due to the likelihood of ongoing problems (and therefore additional expenses for the customer) with copper. I asked for a ballpark figure for replacing all the copper piping, and it was beyond our current budget. He was very understanding and gave several recommendations of other businesses who might be able to help. Although they weren't the right fit for the job, Nate was incredibly helpful, kind, and informative, and even refused tip when I asked to compensate him for his time. I would be thrilled to work with him/Smart Swim in the future, should the right project come along! read more

Awesome experience. We interviewed at least 20 different vendors before picking Smart Swim PC to renovate our pool and did not regret it. The pool renovation was only interrupted by a few days of rainfall. This was done in March 2025. After meeting with Adam L it was clear we were dealing with professionals. He walked us through the process of selecting tiles and pebbles, financial responsibilities along with timeline for payments, and the overall process of renovation. Initial step was draining the pool. Then came demolition of existing tile and plaster, followed by an inspection to ensure the underlying concrete wasn't hollow at places. Turned out we had a few spots, which were taken care of. Tile replacement took a day. Then about a week later an army of workers came with the new plaster. Took all day but we were filling the pool the next day. The pool looks fantastic now! Working with Adam L and the Smart Swim team was an absolute pleasure. Cannot recommend them enough. read more

Nate did an amazing job getting our pool built. We had an old vinyl liner pool that was leaking and him and his crew demolished it all and built a new concrete pool with micro pebble that looks great, and we actually want to use. We added a spa too and that alone has to be the best decision. Nate worked with us on the shape and slightly different design than typical, and was super responsive throughout the whole job. He supervised every step of the job, and was here doing some of the work himself when needed. Nate also did our patio area with pavers and made sure the whole look tied perfectly to the house. I can't say enough great things about Nate and Ofir! We spoke with Nate about the project initially and periodically would hear from him, but we mostly worked with his project manager, Ofir, but Ofir is a reflection of Nate, and he is wonderful! And when we needed Nate, he was always accessible. Between the two of them, they always answered our questions, even at odd hours of the day/night. They even helped us with some additional problems that needed fixing. Their crew was always respectful of our property and never left trash behind. We also never worried that people weren't going to show back up. And again, Ofir is probably one of the most respectful, kind people I've ever interacted with. He listens, is patient, and has a way about him that is calming, even if he's delivering less-than-desirable news that has nothing to do with their work (like that a gas pipe is leaking because it's ancient and needs to be replaced). With Nate, you pay as you go with each stage of the project, so at no time do you have to worry that he's going to run off with your money (I know too many people who have had that happen to them). The transformation in our backyard is unbelievable. It had yet to be updated since the 70s (that's probably being generous). They basically redid everything in our backyard, except the hole that was there for the pool. They resurfaced the pool, added tile, changed the coping, changed out the copper plumbing, replaced a gas pipe that was leaking, replaced the pool equipment, added drains throughout the backyard, and added pavers and astroturf. Initially, my husband and I weren't sure if we wanted to go with Nate because of the lack of Yelp reviews (don't judge me), but I'm really happy we did. Truly, there should be more reviews singing their praises. They don't offer discounts for Yelp reviews (trust me, I asked), so all of these five-star reviews are very genuine and real. We couldn't be happier with the results. I used to stare at my backyard and wonder if it was worth investing in, but now I don't even like putting the pool cover on because it's so pretty to just look at. I highly recommend Nate! I don't write a lot of reviews on yelp, but working with Adam and Smart Swim on our pool renovation was so exceptional that I want others to benefit from our experience. From the very beginning Adam was fun to be around, professional and genuinely enthusiastic about the project. He showed up right on time for our initial appointment, listened closely to what we wanted and was able to present us with a variety of options depending on our budget. At no point was there any attempt to upsell us and in fact, he suggested that we could save money on the project if we wanted to restore our existing tile rather than replace it. My wife and I were both impressed but figured we should meet with other contractors as well. In retrospect we could've saved our time and gone with Smart Swim right away. Other contractors may have come in with marginally lower bids, but having gone through the process now, there's no way the work would've been as high quality, thorough or turned out as beautifully as it did with Adam. As is often the case with projects like this, the budget did start to creep up as we chose to make more improvements along the way, but there was never any pressure from Adam to do so. We just got more and more excited about the project and knew we had the right people to execute it. When all was said and done, we replaced our plaster surface with pebbles, switched to a salt water system, put in color changing lights and did wind up putting in new tile after all. The pool shell also needed some repairs where they discovered some damage due to leaks. It was very cute, when my son came home from summer camp and saw the final completed project he said it was "the pool of his dreams!" As further testimony, our weekly pool maintenance person commented that Adam's crew really knew what they were doing and did excellent work. Clearly we couldn't be happier with Adam and Smart Swim and I'm positive you would be too. Lastly - Adam is a baller cook. To celebrate the end of the project he brought us homemade jerky and some fall off the bones ribs. Incredible! read more
