They're always running deals for lotions, often for tanning packages. Upon initial sign up, they first give you a skin evaluation to help ensure you're not using the wrong bed at the wrong time and won't harm your skin. The owner is heavily involved in the community, they're in every parade, every holiday event downtown. Kist by the Sun is the *ONLY* tanning choice for me in Ashtabula!

The staff is always so welcoming and greets you with a smile. There are different levels of beds, of course the better roomier beds cost more but I do well with just the level 1 beds. There are always monthly deals on tanning packages. This month I got 1 month for 30$! I love their visit specials. I usually grab the 50 for 50 deal when it comes around. There is a large selection of lotion! Best deals and brands in my opinion. It is always clean here! Beds are cleaned after every use by a staff member. There is always a nice treat left in the room (mint or candy) every visit. I've tried many different tanning salons but I always come back to this one. You can not compare the price and the customer service! This will always be my number one choice!

The employees do not know the health code rules as well as they should. I did have a recent experience that I was not so thrilled about. The first time I went in in a while I was charged $14.01, which seemed like a big jump in price for what I remembered paying. I went the following week and was charged $9.00 and some odd cents. When I asked why the difference in price I was asked, "Did you request bed 6?" I replied, "No", and there was no one else there at the time so plenty of other beds available. I was informed that bed costs more???? Even though it is not a large sum of money I am feeling gouged!
