I have called them 5 days in a row, left messages and my telephone number and waited many hours listening to their advertising and nobody has returned my calls or answered when I called. I have a procedure scheduled in 2 days and received correspondence advising me to call. I don't know what is going on and no one will talk with me. I have always found the customer service of Security Health Plan to be top of the line. They quickly provide me with answers and if I am having issues with a provider bill, they don't tell me what I need to do, they take ownership, resolve it, and keep me posted on the results. I think the new 30.00 out of pocket benefit is a waste. Maybe lower the premium by 10.00 a month instead. Items ordered do not match items received, dont know why. Items sent can be purchased at the dollar store instead. I am not able to pick the brands I want either. This is a stupid idea, but since you offer it I will take advantage and give extra items away. I've been told item numbers are incorrect in your pamphlet. Get it together. read more

I am very disappointed in dealing with this insurance. They rejected people with prerequisites and now, they don't put all the information on their ads on the marketplace in with counties are in their networks for each plan. They try to get me into a plan with a higher premium that is not connected to the marketplace and it is a plan that I cannot afford nor get the lower cost of the plan. Very sad and disappointed and twice in a row. Really! This firm needs to get their act together and stop misleading people. They are also very monoply on where a person can go to get vision care done, like cannot go to Walmart nor Shopko. It is all done at the clinic and ministry healthcare facilities. Now really! To me, it was a waste and I am not going to be bullied where I can get my vision care done for a lower price. Beware if you see Security Health Plan on the Marketplace, it may be very misleading to Marketplace clients. Out of them, I lost my dental plan that I very much liked, along with trust. They don't apologize for their mistake but put the blame on others when both should apologize not one. What they could of done was communicate to me by getting me insurance at the same price at what I am paying that is within the network. Not having me pay more out of their mistakes. My wife needed and MRI for which we got pre-approval. The claim was retro-actively denied and I am left with a $6000 bill. The 'review' process was a kangaroo court and led nowhere. I'm sure glad I'm paying you $900 a month for your 'best' policy. Don't buy it if you have another option. read more

I've been with Security Health for 12 years. They are the best! They cover things that others don't, and are great with preventative care. I've had local doctors and labs who don't know them (I'm not in Wisconsin), and when I've had trouble, someone from Security Health calls directly to get things taken care of. They are quick in getting preauthorizations through. I actually switched my husband from his company's insurance to Security Health, even though it was a bit more expensive, because they were ok with him going to a specialist to get his diabetes taken care of, when his insurance wouldn't. I recently had both my knees replaced, and got a ridiculously high bill from the hospital. Amber from Security Health helped calm me down and said not to worry, they'd make sure I didn't pay the crazy high rates. Yesterday, I got a new bill in the mail from the hospital for the lower amount that I was originally expecting. I'm so relieved. Thanks amber! read more
