Customers beware: Make sure you only pay what they quote. They quote you a price and then make you sign up of a three-year subscription contract, or if you elect not to do it they charge you double or triple. This company needs to be taken out of business. My 13year old home camera security system was not accessible anymore. My neighbor used them and so I called. Shane came out and looked at my home and what I had already. I wanted to add another camera to the far end of my home (across 3 attic spaces). I also needed one of my cameras replaced after being damaged by our last hurricane. Was given a quote for all new cameras (8 total), new DVD 16 Chanel systems and a small monitor for $3200. My old cameras would not work with the new system. The install was an all day event and I give the guys a lot of credit stringing cables across my home. They had to call in a third guy to help as they could not figure out how to get the cable to the control room. They finally did but now my phone modem is messed up. Not sure if it was something they did or just a fluke. Spectrum can fix that. It is nice to have my cameras on my phone again but the cameras quality at night is worse than my OLD cameras. I am also not sure how but despite the positions being the same as the old cameras the view is blocked in some views by gutter down spouts. The white glair overpowers the night vision giving a very limited range at night. I painted the gutters FLAT BLACK and it did seam to help but no way to permanently zoom the cameras past the gutters so that will be my view. I am painting my home soon anyway a darker cooler so that may help as well. Will see. Overall just Ok. Disappointed with the camera night view quality but happy with the install. They did a great job. read more

We had another security company and the customer service was terrible. We couldn't ever get hold of them when we needed to. We had Shane come out and assess our needs and set up an appt for a new system installed. We didn't have to wait but only a couple days for them to install. I bought my house in February of last year and Security Pro was out the day after we closed. They evaluated the existing alarm system and recommended necessary upgrades to bring it up-to-date. I could not be happier than I am with this company! I have had very minimal technical difficulties (all user error, lol whoops) but whenever I have they've been able to resolve the issues over the phone. Horrible service in office . April is very rude. We spent 450.00 for power supply. One month later had no power, Called and April was very rude. Spoke with Owner Chad, he was very professional and said there would be no charge to come out and check it. To make sure it was power supply. I told tech over and over do not do anything to create a charge. When he was done he said they are charging 95.00 for them coming out. I called 2 times and left message for owner to call me. It has been over a week and knowone has called back. April says she left them a message to call me. They are money grabbers. stay away. read more

First of all this company doesn't even deserve 1 star. I've been a customer for 6 years and the system stop working. I had to pay $101.65 for a service call. The system still didn't work. I called the company to complain and the manager called me back and was leaving a voicemail and the customer rep didn't hang up the phone and was saying to the manager I was full of BS and I was a crazy B**** on my voicemail. I still have the saved message on my voicemail. When I called back and was treated like that, the manager could only offer me a three year contract or I could pay $300.00...Wow, please cancel my service. Got a security system from them in our family's vacation home. After not having been there for nearly a year, we finally arrived in February to find the system nonfunctional. Called and after a very brief troubleshooting, they said that the problem is that the equipment is outdated and does not work with the cell towers, and so there had been no security monitoring for 9 1/2 months! They never provided information of the need for an equipment upgrade to avoid interruption of security monitoring, not even when billing for the year of service the month AFTER they stopped providing service! Rather than pay $400 to upgrade, I canceled and went with a reputable company. Security Pro refused to provide a refund for services not provided, because their small print states that it is the customer's responsibility to run tests themselves to ensure that the system is working and monitoring is being provided. When shopping around I asked each company to be sure they did not have a similar requirement of the customer monitoring the security system's functionality, and each company's representative stated that they had never heard of such an absurd concept. Pathetic excuse for a security company. read more
