My partner and I were on vacation and stayed at Crimson on 4/28/26-5/1/26…read more
On 4/29/26, we had breakfast at Saffron, lunch at Azure, and invited 3 of our family members for dinner at Enye since it was Michelin recognized. About 2 hours after dinner, 2 out of 5 of us started exhibiting symptoms of food poisoning (vomiting, diarrhea, and body pains). My partner called in the nurse, Alme, at 3 am and she gave him some medicine to calm the symptoms.
The next morning, 4/30, my partner and niece (not staying with us) were still unwell. My partner had to go to the Crimson medical clinic 3 more times before he finally felt a bit better. We went to report the issue to Eshrey, who said she would escalate the issue to management and that was it. Ok, thanks? Now what? We were waiting for someone to follow up with us, but no one did. We didn't want to spend our entire day following up with these people so we let it go until the next day.
Friday, 5/1, we went back to the front after breakfast and my partner spoke to someone at Concierge, who said they would follow up on the report. No follow up. Finally, at check out, we spoke with Eshrey again, who had no update on the issue and who made no offer to cover anything for our inconvenience. Ok fine, she's front desk so she can't do anything. We asked for the "manager", Janray, who told us that the case was under investigation (lmao) and that they can't be sure it was Enye's fault because we went island hopping the day before. Mind you, 30 of us went island hopping the day before and only these 2 people got sick after dinner at Enye. Can you please explain to me how this isn't Enye's fault?
I understand that consuming raw or undercooked foods can increase risk of foodborne illness - fine. But the fact that the resort completely denied responsibility without even confirming that this was not their fault first, AND didn't cover anything on our behalf due to our inconvenience was incredibly frustrating. We spent so much money at their restaurants and had at least four spa treatments while we were there and they couldn't even pardon part of our dinner or any of the clinic visits we had to make.
The resort itself is nice, but it is not worth eating there, getting sick, and wasting a day of vacation without the resort doing anything about it.
Unfortunately, because of their terribly awful customer service, we will never come back.
