My fiancée and I fell in love with Sedona last year, and when we decided to get married, knew this was the place. I did TONS of research, and kept coming back to the same place. On a whim, I emailed Iala to see if there was a possibility of a short notice vortex/wedding site tour, to get a feel for WHERE we called to have our ceremony. Within minutes, she responded and we set up a same-day tour. Our guide arrived promptly, and we set off on our quest for the perfect spot to reveal itself to us. Everything about our tour just "fell into place". There are no words to describe how "right" everything feels, and the guidance that Sue Ellen gave us during our 2 hours together just solidified what we felt to begin with: we would be in good hands with our special day. We begin our planning today with no anxiety or stress. We will update after our ceremony, but my gut tells me it will be a day of love, peace and blessings. UPDATE: We had our wedding on Wednesday and it was everything we imagined. The day, the setting, the peace of it all was perfect. We picked Lovers Knoll for our hand fasting wedding ceremony site and it was BEYOND amazing!! My husband is actually from the Sedona/Cottonwood area and that was one of the spots they used to hang out when he was a teenager, so it was already special for us. Iala, our officiant was just wonderful! She possesses the most wonderful, positive energy and made our wedding day perfect. The pricing was also very reasonable.There was a bit of juggling in schedules so we had the ceremony 45 minutes earlier than originally planned but that wasn't going to make or break us in the least. Iala made us feel very relaxed during the entire process and was very accommodating to our unconventional, rock musician friends. It was an extremely windy afternoon but she worked that in and made it a special part of the ceremony. She even allowed us to work in a broom jumping ceremony at the very end. The photographer made us feel very comfortable, and the lighting and picture quality of the photos was great so we were quite pleased with most of the pictures she had taken. The whole experience was just spectacular and perfect for us. More than a couple of our guests said it was by far, the BEST wedding ceremony they'd ever witnessed!! Just wonderful! My husband & I eloped to Sedona from Seattle with Sedona Destination Weddings & the experience was beyond our expectations. Communication was prompt & the coordination for our ceremony was super easy. Reverend Yana performed our ceremony & it was supremely spiritual. Sedona Destinations met above and beyond my husband and my expectations. They were working with us from the beginning to create our vision for our perfect commitment ceremony. We had never been to Arizona so everything was done through email communication. We also had a phone call to ensure we received the email iala, our contact person had sent to us. Our ceremony was held at Lovers Knoll and we could not have had a more perfect background and setting for our ceremony. Our officiant Akaal was perfect as well as our photographer. Our Shaman Ceremony was exactly how we envisioned it to be. Akaal had a great sense of humor he made our experience very comfortable and we knew at once we were in good hands. Our photographer took 250 pictures. We received them as scheduled two weeks after our ceremony. Also two days after our ceremony we received an email with our slide show which was absolutely perfect. My daughter and her fiancé had decided on Sunday that they wanted to get married up in Sedona on Wednesday, rather than just going to a courthouse in Phoenix. I reached out to Sedona Destination Weddings and within 1 hour everything was confirmed. The only thing my daughter and her fiancé had to do, was decide where they wanted the ceremony to take place. We drove up on Wednesday and were met by the photographer and the officiant. The view was absolutely stunning and picturesque. The officiant was so amazing and really made it such a personal ceremony and it was just a beautiful ceremony. The photographer was amazing and took some of the most spectacular photos that clearly captured the one of a kind views and one of a kind love they have for each other. After the wedding, my daughter and son in law both said they couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day. It no longer mattered that there wasn't a large reception and all the pomp and circumstance that normally comes with a wedding. We got married at Huckaby Hollow on October 7 2016. Everything about our ceremony was perfect. From start to finish we were treated kindly and everything came together perfectly. We opted for the Sedona Memories package. Rev Iala Jaggs helped us plan every detail over the phone and my bouquet was beautiful. The site was phenomenal very open and excellent views. We had the most magical wedding at the base of our beloved Bell Rock. The views on the plateau were priceless! Sedona Destinations was communicative throughout and made many suggestions from vendors to local food. Living over 2,000 away from Sedona, I needed a good go-to team to pull the whole wedding together and they delivered.
