I'm beyond thankful for this church for many reasons. I've been attending this church for 3 years…read morenow, and the experience I have had here has drawn me closer to Jesus every time, I feel free to worship. The sense of community is so strong, you truly feel like and are family with the body of Christ. The Pastor and his wife have made me feel at home, have gone out of their way to check in on me and my family. They are not afraid to answer my questions, they tell me and show me the truth, and love me gently in the process. I absolutely recommend this church, if anything give it a try, open yourself to feeling God's presence, and you will be restored, renewed, and be given peace that passes all understanding. While God can meet me anywhere and anytime, He meets me there too, in a powerful way

I can only speculate that it is because I came in several times not knowing the very strict "rules" of being Pentecostal. Being that judgemental is not what I'm looking for in God's house. Will never step foot in there again.

Picturesque little white church on a hill, complete with a small graveyard and botanical garden…read more Unfortunately, not very friendly. When my mom was dying and away from her home church in Seattle, I got in touch with this church and pre-arranged for a small family memorial when she died. All seemed OK. Until she died. Then, for no given reason, when I contacted the church to schedule a time for this to happen, it was all of a sudden not something they could accomodate... All we wanted was a brief send-off with a pastor saying a few words and allowing the family to speak. We would have gladly paid whatever fee might be involved and had no need for refreshments or communion or anything other than perhaps a half hour of time. Apparently, too much bother or something. The Baptist church by Cedarhome graciously agreed to help us out, even though my mom was a Lutheran. Sheesh. Reminded me why I give a wide berth to organized religion.

The staff is amazing and the mens and womens ministries are inclusive to new people. It's a decent size church with 3 services so I suggest connecting with the many available small groups to get to know people who are very caring.

It would not be my first choice of church if I were choosing only for myself. However, as the mother of a teenage daughter who has had some struggles and is interested in a lively, vibrant youth community? I couldn't ask for more. There is a huge youth community in this church, and there are young leaders who make them all feel welcome and as if they are a part of something powerful-- which the faithful would agree they are. Youth get opportunities to eat dinners together at youth group every Wednesday night, participate in services that are quite lively and interactive on Sunday mornings, and take part in many different community events that exist to improve the church itself or the community surrounding it. It took very little time for my daughter to feel at home here, which made it an "easy sell" for me. As a community member and educator, I see the difference attending Life Church has made in the lives of other local teens and, again, I couldn't have more positive things to say: there are young people who have totally turned things around for themselves-- but, even more importantly, there are teens who have had challenges figuring out where they "fit" who now have a place where they feel welcome and confident to be themselves. Of course, the adults are also caring and active members of the community. However, my greatest kudos to Life Church is for the difference they're making in the lives of children, youth, teens, and young adults in this little town.

One of the things that impressed us is that the congregation "walks the walk" by actively supporting groups such as Family Promise of Skagit Valley.
