Excellent service, hands down. I was only there for 12 hours with a late check in and early check…read moreout, however everyone I encountered was two thumbs up! The linens...holy cow...top notch. And the bed - so comfy that I didn't want to get out of it! Love it that they provide a large, sealed, reusable, glass carafe of water. And, a really cool water pot to heat for tea. Ingenious! My one star knock is for 2 reasons: 1) I spaced packing q-tips and called the front desk for some. They didn't have any, which was sort of a shock...most hotels have an "emergency" kit or a small gift kiosk offering simple items that are easily forgotten by travelers. 2) My room faced a parking lot which wasn't a big deal, however they were doing some kind of demolition that began around 6:30a. The next morning, the young man who checked me out kindly let me know that next time I can request a quiet room to avoid the noise. A great tip! Neither 1 nor 2 is a deal breaker. Be sure to support this LOCAL GEM!

Hotel Verdant was the perfect place for my family and I to stay during our visit to Milwaukee!…read more We picked a standard room with 2 queen beds, but it was much nicer than I expected! The room was spacious with plenty of counter space and charging ports, and the restroom was restocked daily with complimentary toiletries. I feel like I can never get a good night's sleep when I'm say sleeping on a hotel bed, but I slept like a baby in my bed at Hotel Verdant! The sheets felt so luxurious and comfortable, and while I usually need to stack the pillows in hotel beds, one pillow was plenty of support for me here. I also appreciated that the housekeeping service actually did come freshen up our room (make the beds, replace the towels, etc) every day during our stay, which doesn't usually happen at the other hotels I've stayed at recently. I didn't love that there is no attached parking garage/lot for the hotel, and instead you have to lug all your luggage across the street to the lot that is shared with two restaurants. My reason for giving Hotel Verdant 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bathroom door did not close all the way in my room, which was very inconvenient, and one of the coffee mugs in my room was very obviously dirty upon my arrival (there were drips of coffee still in it). However, neither of those issues are total dealbreakers, and I do see myself staying at Hotel Verdant if I'm ever in that area again!

We had a marina view room. We were there in April so not many boats out yet. The hotel had a nice pool and hot tub. I enjoyed both. They have a breakfast buffet for an additional charge. They have an arcade. They also have covered private parking for $5 unlimited in/out privileges. The lobby area is big with couches and a computer bar area. The pool area is right next to the lobby area. This hotel is spacious and in a great location. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants in downtown Racine. I will be back in the summer to sit marina side at the outdoor bar facing the lake. Also the sunrise over the Marina was beautiful!!

The room's carpet could use a good cleaning (or burning, honestly). And although the room was spacious, it seemed like they removed some furniture as there was a huge area between the bed and window. Maybe it's part of the remodel. I appreciated the managers reception where I was able to have a few beers as well as Fried Pickles and Onion Straws from the BBQ place next door. It was a nice snack before heading out for real dinner later. Parking could also be better as it's not designed very well, and the main elevator is on the end of all the rooms, so if you have a high room number (in the 50s), you have a loooooong walk. Luckily, there's a back entrance with an elevator and better parking. It's not very roller-bag friendly though. I debated staying here again, but for the price, it just wasn't worth it to me compared to some of the newer hotels in the Mt. Pleasant/Racine area.

From the start, the hotel's identity was confusing, with signage for both Delta and Fairfield out front. It was unclear what kind of experience we were walking into. At check-in, the agent did not inform us of a scheduled pool closure, nor that all amenities listed on the in-room TV were outdated or unavailable. Rooms were okay but the bathroom was cramped and the shower head does not move which makes showering difficult. There was no in-room dining, and the restaurant was only open for buffet breakfast ($15) and limited dinner service. For a week-long stay, having no reliable food and beverage options on property is a major inconvenience. Even on the weekend, no Bloody Mary's or mimosas--a surprising miss for a hotel. To make matters worse, we received a text asking how check-in went, but when we responded with concerns, no one followed up. If you're going to ask for feedback, you need to act on it. As someone who has worked with Hyatt, Starwood, and Marriott, I know what proper hospitality looks like--and this wasn't it. I won't be returning, and I'd recommend others consider alternative accommodations in the area.

Set your GPS so you don't turn into the wrong road. Once you're there, you'll find a super duper friendly staff! At least I did on my visit. The pillows could be a little better as they seemed to get flat really quick. The bed was comfortable though and I slept pretty good, which is overall good. And please put a bar of soap in the rooms. That body wash just doesn't do it. Breakfast was amazing. The biscuits were light and fluffy and MOIST! The omelets were made with care and love that they had oatmeal and yogurt too. I didn't use the pancake machine. I know, right? One thing is those new coffee machines that grind, brew, and dispense a hot cup of coffee are absolutely terrible. I'm a loyal IHG member, but if this is the new normal, I may need to switch brands entirely. Some of the worst hotel coffee I've had. PLEASE get better beans or something. I haven't decided if I'd stay again (bad coffee and pillows are two pretty big strikes). I like the Staybridge down the road but also saw a lot of other hotels in the area which may be worth trying out. And wish I would have received a survey on this one... that would have been nice.
