I stayed at Delta Hotels in Racine for 7 days and unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations--especially for a property under the Marriott brand. From the start, the hotel's identity was confusing, with signage for both Delta and Fairfield out front. It was unclear what kind of experience we were walking into. At check-in, the agent did not inform us of a scheduled pool closure, nor that all amenities listed on the in-room TV were outdated or unavailable. Rooms were okay but the bathroom was cramped and the shower head does not move which makes showering difficult. There was no in-room dining, and the restaurant was only open for buffet breakfast ($15) and limited dinner service. For a week-long stay, having no reliable food and beverage options on property is a major inconvenience. Even on the weekend, no Bloody Mary's or mimosas--a surprising miss for a hotel. To make matters worse, we received a text asking how check-in went, but when we responded with concerns, no one followed up. If you're going to ask for feedback, you need to act on it. As someone who has worked with Hyatt, Starwood, and Marriott, I know what proper hospitality looks like--and this wasn't it. I won't be returning, and I'd recommend others consider alternative accommodations in the area. read more

This hotel is decent and will probably be better once the renovations are done. The staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The room's carpet could use a good cleaning (or burning, honestly). And although the room was spacious, it seemed like they removed some furniture as there was a huge area between the bed and window. Maybe it's part of the remodel. I appreciated the managers reception where I was able to have a few beers as well as Fried Pickles and Onion Straws from the BBQ place next door. It was a nice snack before heading out for real dinner later. Parking could also be better as it's not designed very well, and the main elevator is on the end of all the rooms, so if you have a high room number (in the 50s), you have a loooooong walk. Luckily, there's a back entrance with an elevator and better parking. It's not very roller-bag friendly though. I debated staying here again, but for the price, it just wasn't worth it to me compared to some of the newer hotels in the Mt. Pleasant/Racine area. read more

As someone who travels 50 weeks a year, one of my biggest pet peeves is showsr products empty or almost empty. It's not hard for housekeeping to check this when they are cleaning the showers. My hotel preferences are to be high floors and near the elevators. My room was the fastest from the only hotel the front desk person pointed out to me. Literally down 2 hallways and last room on left side. One my way out to dinner i decided to see what was on the other little area by my room. Guess what?! It was an elevator. But it was out of order. Go figure. I had knee surgery recently and these long walks kill my knee. The bathroom is not plus size friendly. I have to straddle the toilet just to close the door. The lounge for titanium members was so hot. The ac was set to 76. I turned it down. And I've seen better M lounges at other hotels. They have chips, pop, candy, snacks, fruit, etc. This one has jars of who knows how old nuts, mm's, and party mix. And one 2 different drinks, MtDew and something else. I love/hate online check in. Of course I can bypass the front desk but then I dont get any info on hotel like hours of pool, happy hours etc. So I always make a pont to check in the front desk. The lady said here's your keys. Nothing else. No thank you for being a titanium member, free water, nothing. I had to ask her about if they had a lounge, or breakfast (which she did give me 2 breakfast coupons after I asked), if there was a pool, where are the elevators etc. I felt like I had to check myself in. read more

We needed a hotel in the Racine/ Kenosha area for a Friday night and wanted to stay at a Marriott property as gold members. There was not much to choose from... for some reason all the hotels near Kenosha were over $300 a night (what was going on there?). The Fairfield in Racine had horrible reviews which left the Delta. We did stay on points. I remember Delta being a Canadian chain from years ago but did not realize that Marriott bought them in 2015. I am not sure if this was always a Delta hotel or some other property but this place needs and is supposedly getting a major updating. It needs it. The place looked worn not only in the rooms but in the public areas. After my first attempt to get an upgraded room as a gold member was unsuccessful (the trainee at the front desk claimed it was an upgraded room - it wasn't). I worked with the manager on duty and she did a good job of getting us a nicer room with a kitchenette. The full size frig was a plus. Thanks! Again the room was a bit worn. The sliding door to the balcony could not be locked and the screen was totally bent out of shape. It was on the concierge floor which did have some snacks and soda and water. Not like some that have wine and beer... Perhaps once this property has been upgraded it will live up to it being in a higher tier of Marriott hotels than Fairfields. I recently stayed in the area since one of my family members was graduating from the nearby College and I wanted a place to stay at last minute but all the other hotels were charging too much but this place was only 5 minutes away from the other expensive hotels and it offered an incredibly fair price. Checking in was easy, this hotel featured plenty of amenities like a welcoming front desk, an incredible weight room, they had a full bar that was open kind of late, and the pool was very beautiful. Going to the room was not bad at all, the room did have a weird odor to it it's not quite musty. The bed was very cozy and it had modern amenities. Overall I did feel like it was a great casual stay out of all the many hotels I stay at throughout the whole year it's definitely worth your money here. read more

What I saw online vs what we experienced; Beds were comfortable as were the pillows - AC worked well from a newer thermostat, room darkening curtains worked well. Now for the surprises~we were placed in a room furthest from the doors making it a 10-15mnt walk to reach the front desk. I'd called to front desk and asked to PAY for an upgrade if necessary. But I needed a different room. I'm differently abled~ and had my grandchildren with me with lots of baggage. It was an inconvenience. Was told no. Rooms are under construction on the 4th floor, we were on the 5th with windows facing moving construction trucks, and a mess of construction supplies. Not so bad as I didn't expect a forest view, but I did assume that @6:30pm on a Friday night there wouldn't be construction work happening. Saturday morning too. Photos online showed a coffee bar in the room with a microwave and fridge. The fridge needs to be turned on manually and turns off after a few minutes. It has an ice block in it so barely enough room to fit a to-go container. It kept our beverages cool. Water pressure good and plenty of towels clean bathroom POOL- awful bacteria bowl of unkempt water that was nearly non swimmable- we lost 3 water toys in the water because it was impossible to even see your own body in the thick cloudiness -DANGER read more

Pulled up after a long day working. Met at the front desk with a smile and a quick checkin. So welcome and grateful. The lobby is serene blue and felt very soothing. My room has a screen that welcomes me by name with soothing music. A long desk with a chair and a lound chair with an over the lap table provide great spaces to work. The King size bed has soft sheets with ample pillows. The room is well lit with a refrigerator and long mirror. The bedside tables have electric outlets and a port for charging. The on site restaurant is cozy wiht wicker fixtures and light wood tables. Soothing for a Thursday night of reading and scrolling on the computer. Service is attentive. The menu features smokehouse meats. I ordered a french dip which surprised me withe a presentation of toasted bun and smoked meat with an au jus dip. Waffle fries were the treat of the dish! The meal was savory. Wine and mixed drinks were on target. Overall a comfortable place to stay with food that sooths the soul. read more

This by far was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at the room was disgustingly dirty with stains all over the carpet the bedspread was actually torn into tatters there were mold stains on the bathroom ceiling. I stayed at cleaner hotels named Motel 6!! The hotel pool had about 30 kids ages 3 on up with no adults watching them. There was a hotel staff person that came in to observe every hour or so. If you're considering going to Delta Hotels at 7111 Washington Avenue, Hwy 20, Racine DON'T DO IT! I just had the worst customer service experience yesterday. I walked into the receptionist desk and a white girl with glasses never greeted me. I said are you able to assist me as the other black receptionist was helping another customer. The girl said "oh I thought you were here to see her (referencing the black coworker). Wow! I said I wanted to book a room and she said well I'll have you wait on her because I don't know how to book reservations. The black receptionist came over and pretended to book my reservation, she gave me a screenshot of my fake reservation with no email request. I said how am I going to get a confirmation so she gave me a fake screen shot on my cellphone. Wow I guess they didn't want my business. I emailed the manager and sent him info (Brock) never got a response. Don't go to Delta Hotel on 7111 Washington. Their customer service is NOT good! read more

Very nice and clean hotel. The only two complaints I have is one there was never any hand sanitizer in the sanitizing stations and I was there for five days. My biggest complaint is the bed. So I am writing this review at 0400 in the morning, why? Because the people in the room next to me are having some sort of noice festival that has been going on since 0300. I have been trying to call the front desk for almost 45 minutes to get said noise to stop but no one answers. At 0405, after at least 12 attempts to call the front desk, someone finally answered. She did not sound like the noise was big deal. I said I couldn't believe no one else had complained and she said "we're not really busy so yeah." She said she would look into it but as the noise is continuing at one level lower on the Richter scale, it looks like I won't be getting any sleep for the rest of the night. The hotel is otherwise fine, nothing fancy but the room is big enough although the bathroom is tiny. I went to check out the workout room when I checked in, followed the signs, and there was no workout room where the directions indicated. Again, when I went to the front desk to ask where it was, there was no one there, after waiting around and no one showing up, I gave up. The lack of ability to get help when needed gives me huge concern about the security here. Although the check in process was easy, the last that checked me in was very nice, and it clean I don't think I would stay here again. read more

UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP I wanted to say that first because there are so many negative reviews for this Marriott, but my experience has been great and I think they are really trying to turn things around. When the keys for my room didn't work tonight, the incredibly nice woman at the front desk didn't just give me new ones, she walked me to my room to make sure they worked. When they still didn't, she let me in with her master key as I had let her know I was hungry and their restaurant was about to close. After I picked up my food, she had new keys waiting! And let's talk about the food at the restaurant. Because I walked in 20 minutes before they were going to close and they cooked me the best taco salad I've ever had. Yup, I was hungry. But it was seriously delicious. And while some places load up on the veggies so they can use less meat, not this place. If you want Mexican food in Racine, this is the place to go. This was a long way of saying, they are working to improve, update, and renovate this place. Give them another chance. And get some tacos while you're there! read more

We stayed here for my brothers wedding in May of this year. We are from Michigan and *thought* this looked like the nicest hotel to stay at while still being close-ish to the venue! We had a room with our kids in it with us. When we left we got charged a bunch of small random fees eventually equaling $250 total. I called about it and they told me it was the cleaning fee because "it looked like you had a party in your room". I assured her we did NOT have a party in a room with 3 small children in it. Was it messy? Yes, we had small children! There was not a trace of alcohol or drugs in the room! NOTHING was broken or stolen...She said she'd look into it and look at the "photo evidence" that the maid took and get back to me. RED FLAG number one...why was the $250 cleaning taken out in small chunks? Literally $20 and $50 charges. Are they hoping you just don't notice since it's not a large $250 charge all at once? SHADY! I called again about a week later because of course, she never bothered to call me back, and said she was just able to get with the housekeeping manager that day and will get back to me again. *insert eye roll* RED FLAG NUMBER 2...you guessed it, she never bothered to call me back, ONCE AGAIN. I had to CHASE DOWN my refund over the span of a month and a half. I was given the run around EVERY single time. I think they thought if they drew it out long enough I'd just give up...NOPE! Why would I try so D*MN hard to get MY money back if I thought you had photo evidence of this so called "party"? Oh I know why...BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T HAVE EVIDENCE BECAUSE THERE WAS NO PARTY! I finally called and ripped the manager a new one over the phone! She said she passed it up to her manager and thought he had called me about it...nope. Never one phone call. She finally agreed to refund my money. RED FLAG NUMBER 3....this place thinks they're entitled to your money and can just charge you whenever they want for things that didn't happen. There are other reviews for this hotel that are similar to mine. One in particular of a woman who was cleaning her purse out and dumped a cigarette butt into the trash can in the room. They claimed she smoked in the room and charged her the $250 cleaning fee all because the maid saw the butt in the trash. So if you want to stay at a place that thinks they're entitled to charge you bogus fees, more power to you. I'd recommend finding a Hilton property, we've stayed in them many times, with our messy kids, and have never had ANY issues with being charged bogus fees! The staff at Delta are unprofessional. I've gone there approximately 3-4 times and the staff is rude everytime I go. It's been three incidents where they are rude and unprofessional. I don't want to make this about race but as a minority I DON'T FEEL WELCOME. The emailed the manager Brock and received no response. I booked at the Double Tree by the Harbor in Racine, WI instead. I received much better treatment, the room was much nicer and clean at the Double Tree by the Harbor! ***go to the Double Tree it was very nice***. Now Delta has charged me a no show fee $111.87 and I tried canceling twice and personally sent an email to Brock Winkler but received no response to my request to cancel the reservation. Wow! When checking out Hasan Ali was at the front desk, I was like great I can tell him what happen at his hotel and he would be understanding. Nope. When explaining everything to Hasan he acted nonchalant. I kept asking do you understand what I'm saying. Somebody came into my room with a DO NOT DISTURB SIGN. He told me he would refund my stay, which was great and which he did, but that's not going to solve the problem. I asked him to figure out who was in my room because I think we should all have a conversation. Since he was the GM I felt he should know how to run the hotel. Negative. He asked me to come back at 2pm, to get my room comp. Mind you I had suitcases going to the airport and told him I couldn't. He then told me that he didn't know nothing about running the front desk and pulling up a schedule to find the housekeeper that enter my room. He proceeded to call the front desk manger to walk him through the process of the refund. it took about 30 mins.Sum it up I got a refund, but after I asked about him speaking to his employee he just waved me off. I don't care about no refund it's the principal of what happen. I don't want that to happen to anyone else. I have been traveling since I was 2 and never has that happen to me. He needs to be more respectful of his guests and train his employees better. Makes the Marriott look bad. read more

Work requires me to spend on average 2-3 nights/week on the road throughout the Midwest. I am loyal to Marriott and will travel further to stay at one of their properties. I chose this property for a recent trip to Racine, WI. It appeared nice on their website and for $135/night I thought it would be better than the Fairfield down the road. Upon check-in the key reader was broken and they couldn't issue room keys. Inconvenience to ask for someone to let me into my room and they acted like I was in inconveniencing them, but it was an issue they couldn't have know would happen. There was no welcome gift. No food coupon. No bottle of water offered. Even with the Executive Lounge under construction. Wifi is horrible. Phone reception is worse. So if your looking for a business friendly hotel I would suggest another property. read more

I stay at the Racine Marriott hotel once a year in relation to my attendance at the Great Lakes Brew Fest. The price is in the moderate to high range (it's all relative). I think I paid around $130 for a night. I have found that searching out any cheaper places just results in a terrible mattress and lost sleep. They always let me check in early around noon, which is appreciated. I like to get settled, then go out and eat lunch before the brewfest bus takes me to beer heaven at 2PM. The rooms are clean. The bed is comfortable. The TV is nice and modern. The bathrooms are clean and decently sized. (I really hate the ones that make you feel like they used to be a closet, but that is not a problem at Racine Marriott.) The hotel restaurant used to be pretty forgettable, but they have done some rework on the menu in 2011. I stopped in for some drunken dinner eating after the brewfest. I don't remember the details, but the pulled pork sliders seemed tasty at the time. They also have a huge selection of craft brew bottles to choose from. So why did I hold back the 5th star? The ancient heating A/C unit is noisy. The controls are vague and make it impossible to set the environment with any confidence. I don't want to do the trial and error thing with something that I am only using for a day. Temperature and noise are very important to my ability to get a good night's sleep. Why wasn't the clock set? It was puzzling to me that the clock on the night stand was not set and I had to fiddle with learning how to set it. Sure, it only took me a few minutes, but it is the little irritations that we remember. There is Wi-Fi available, but it requires a password. I did not figure this out until the next morning when I was attempting to use it. The desk staff had not mentioned anything about a password. It wasn't super important since my phone can use 3G data connection, but it was another one of those little things. So as long as the brewfest continues to be held in Racine, I know where I will be staying. read more

This hotel has become like a second home for me as I spend roughly two weeks per month there when working at All Saints. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more polite and they always go out of their way to make my stay pleasant and enjoyable. The gym is more than adequate and the pool is really nice. At first glance this place looks nice but this is a really old property trying to look new. Although I checked in late last night the front desk staff was terrible. Not only was she rude, but also missing a few front teeth. When I got to my room I thought I stepped back in time to the 80s. If it weren't for the familiar linens I would have never thought I was in a Marriott property. Worst part of the room was my concern regarding the cleanliness. My pillows has strange color marks on them. Not sure if they were washed and I didn't want to chance it. The bedding was also not your expected mattress type that I've come to expect at a full service Marriott property. The walls didn't appear thin, but in the morning I heard EVERYTHING. The turnover service was very very loud. They certainly didn't weren't mindful of sleeping customers. They would used the latch to prop open a room they were cleaning and just allow it to swing at full momentum back at the latch causing a very annoying bang! every couple of minutes. WTF? Avoid this property! At $165/night I am sure you can find a newer and cleaner property elsewhere. It was also the most expensive room in the area. I just thought I was picking a "safe" option by going with Marriott, but I was definitely wrong. read more

This is not the place it once was. 1) Sink that drained slowly 2) Unpleasant stain on the bathroom wall 3) Water stain in the closet ceiling 4) Water stain on the ceiling main room 5) Broken darts in the lounge area 6) Pool was out of service / no one mentioned when I called.7) the Mattress itself was comfortable but the sides were hanging off the bed. I really enjoyed the large indoor pool and the jacuzzi. I noticed that there was a nice outdoor firepit area but it was raining during my stay and I was unable to check it out. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. Staff was friendly and informative. I believe that the doors are made with cedar, giving the hotel a distinct and pleasant smell. This hotel is fantastic (I'm currently in the bed in the hotel room)! I've worked at hotels and stayed at many recently for business and travel. All of the staff have been super pleasant this far, the room is clean (tub could use some touch ups on the cauking), the overall facilities feel very luxurious but yet family friendly. The pool looks a bit small, but we didn't book here for the pool. The beds are soooooooooooo comfy and you can login to your own Netflix/hulu/etc account. We were in the area a couple months ago and stayed at a comparably priced hotel and, while that hotel was nice and had some other perks (like a really great, free continental breakfast), I wish we would have stayed here for our week long trip. Not sure if it is because of reviews, or other issues we are unaware of, or...its just how they roll here - but we had a letter from the Hotel Managerin our room explaining their intentions and goals to provide the best service and if anything was needed to call him - where he then listed his personal cell phone number. In a hotel this size, allowing customers to contact you directly is huge for service and satisfaction. Did I already mention we are absolutely staying here again?! read more

We had a king room for a $99 rate at this very comfortable, well located hotel. We were very, very pleased. The room was a good size, the furniture and bedding, etc., were nice, and everything was in lovely condition. When we checked in, we found the desk staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave us two passwords for our laptops for the free WiFi access, which was very helpful. I didn't eat in the restaurant this time, but we have dined here before, and the food was VERY good and the service in the restaurant was also very attentive and professional. Next time, I also want to bring my swimsuit to enjoy the pool facilities. I have noticed that Marriotts don't seem to be supplying hair dryers anymore. I brought mine, and I was glad. Also, this hotel doesn't have a Starbucks on site (yet!), but they do sell the delicious Racine delicacy, the O&H kringle. We will definitely be staying here again. read more

My friend and I booked a room last minute as we weren't getting in to Wisconsin until 1:30am. The room was great! The bed is super comfortable, the water pressure in the shower is top notch, and it had everything we needed for two people. Their pool was down for maintenance when we came, but seeing as how we just needed a place to crash for the night, it wasn't a big deal for us. read more

Friendly, Clean, and Great Location I took a motorcycle trip around Lake Michigan with my My fiancee and a buddy. Our First night we stayed here at the racine, WI Marriott. Our Second night was at The Sunset Motel in Escanaba, MI, and the third and Final night was Pleasant Valley Motel. The location was great about 10 minutes from the highway and 10 minutes from Downtown Racine. The pool was very nice. The Staff was friendly. Location: - It is very quite for being 10 minutes off of HWY 94 and 10 minutes from Downtown Racine, and across the street from a Harley Dealer. Rooms: - Rooms were clean and nice. Mini fridge, A/C, T.V., clean towels etc. Overall: -We were all very happy with our stay. It was a very nice stopping point. read more
