We were driving home from mount tremblant to New York and I researched a brunch place to eat and we stumbled upon this place on yelp in the neighboring where we stop at after we visited ikea . I saw the reviews on this place was excellent and needed to try it on our own to experience what other has to say. Indeed it was amazing the food and service that we received. We love it and waiter and owner was very nice and they chatted with us. I do have to say that when we left I noticed that we were charge for certain things that the waiter didn't inform us of. He gave us many choices but one of the choices was of hollandaise sauce and cheese on our potatoes and didn't inform us that it would be extra and also upgraded our toast to sourdough bread and fail to inform us that is also extra. I felt like he felt he was guilty and offer us coffee for free to go with us on our way back home to NY. A little disappointed with that! I don't wish this happen to anyone else. read more

Visiting Laval/Montreal from Michigan, and took a chance on Sel, Poivre & Pommes based on reviews - we couldn't have chosen better! Super seating and waitstaff, efficient kitchen, very nice indoor and outdoor seating, and really good food. My wife ordered the oatmeal - the largest bowl she's gotten, ever, and excellently prepared (get the English cream!) - and I got the vegetable poutine - another massive dish of perfect vegetables, cheese, fries, and hollandaise. I was half an inch from order the pancakes, having seen them on another table - they looked really good - but am glad I got the poutine given where we were. read more

Salt, Pepper and... apples? Let's just go with it! Was mildly skeptical when walking in as this is in a pretty unassuming little shopping plaza, but boy was I in for a pleasant surprise! First things first... if you order the orange juice, they will offer you freshly squeezed. Naturally I said yes... because I love it when people squeeze things, freshly... but I have come to realize that in the genre of orange juice, I much prefer the stuff from concentrate (pulp is evil and I WON'T HEAR OTHERWISE). Now onto the food... which... I LOVED! I had one of the many MANY benedicts on the menu (btw the menu has a lot of options so if you're bad at making decisions, like me, you will need TIME). I had the CV - which includes chicken, bacon, avocado AND goat cheese. So much going on... to which I had them add their sriracha hollandaise. That all goes perrrrfectly with a side of cheesy potatoes (ugh now I want potatoes). Can't lie... It was pretty delicious. Ok but WAIT... there's more. I wanted to try something else... breakfast poutine? stuffed pastry shell? Both good options but NO... instead I went for something sweet. The Tsoureki french toast. As an Armenian I have to call this Choreg... but Tsoureky works I GUESS. Anyway... this thing comes out looking all plane jane... but then... I tried it (with syrup, obviously - bc CANADA) and let me tell you there was something so good about the simplicity of the flavors and textures that I couldn't get enough of. So delicious... light, yet still very filling. I was perplexed... my mind was BOGGLED... but I kept eating bc literally i'm always perplexed and if it ever stopped me from eating i'd be dead from starvation already. When I first saw this place from the street I thought I would be walking in to a greasy spoon, it's in a strip mall and shares a parking lot with a gas station. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised, this place in s very warm and nicely decorated. I was immediately greeted and seated. The menu is very extensive with a ton of variety and creative choices, I had a hard time choosing but settled on the eggs Benedict with Brie and sautéed mushrooms on a bagel. All I can say is, WoW the food came lightning fast and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this place and I'm looking forward to coming back here. read more

This food is FANTASTIC and the portions were very very good. A group of 6 of us from Boston up for a wedding and popped in here for breakfast and loved every second of it.
