This restaurant is very nice. It's pretty centrally located however Services is a little slow and it seems to be not very busy. They do have alcohol and breakfast open pretty late.

The food tasted okay, classic breakfast place. The service is extremely slow, we got here before the morning rush. They took about 15 mins to take our order and about 30 mins to give us our bill so we can leave...

    Sriracha eggs benny- so delicious!

This was the first place I ate at while in Montreal, I would like to pat myself on the back for picking this choice and also my fellow yelpers for the convincing reviews that helped in the selection. Arrived during prime breakfast Saturday time and we were seated right away right by the kitchen. Our server, Martin was extremely friendly and thankfully spoke both French and English. Like I mentioned first time Montreal visitor right here. I ordered the Sriracha eggs benny and it was my favorite food during my whole weekend trip! In fact, I would say it is in the top 3 for breakfast dishes I have had! I liked the mild spice and hint of Sriracha but also enjoyed the crisp home fries. The person I was with ordered the three meat skillet and he seemed to enjoy it as well but he did mention it was a lot of food and he was full easily. He did enjoy the freshly squeezed orange juice they had as well. Can't wait to go back when we are back in town.

Nice place, good service. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the food wasn't piping hot. However, great flavor

I returned to this diner again today (after having been here yesterday), second day in a row. I was kindly welcomed and shown to my table very quickly. I had mentioned I had to make a Train shortly and the kind lady who served me today ensured I was served quickly to help me make that train. The service was very fast and efficient - the best I have ever received anywhere. Quality and portions of food is superb. If i truly ever do find myself back in Montreal I will be coming here again!

Great friendly service and great food. Went early to beat the morning rush around 10am on Sunday.

Although Ben & Florentine is a chain restaurant, it does not discount its taste and quality of food. The service on the other hand, could be a little spotty even in New York standard. We came here during busy lunch hour and were seated quite fast although quickly ignored for a good 5 minutes. The menu was quite extensive and the price is simply lovely. You pick an entree and you get free bread, coffee/tea and juice all for less than $14. I got the two eggs scrambled with Canadian smoked meat with some wheat toast. I was so in love with the Canadian Smoked Meat! It is not the pastrami nor a corn beef. It is not bacon either. It is some thinly sliced, salty tender beef I have fallen victim to. The wheat toast is to my surprise, very fluffy and buttery. I have never had wheat toast tastes just as good as milky white bread.

My family and I were looking for a place for breakfast-this place was recommended by Hotel Bonaventure and guess what- THEY MEAN BUSINESS with BrEaKfAsT! They serve it all day! The order- I had ham and asparagus crepes=amazingly delicious! My Mami had the Avocado toast with a poached egg and LoVeD it! My Dad had oatmeal with fresh berries, cream and sugar. Our Waiter- Laurent was exceptionally attentive refilling our coffee cups several times as the restaurant was packed and it took a while to receive our order. Laurent liked to chat with us and recommended some places to go including the World's Largest BARBIE DOLL MUSEUM-more about that in a future review! He said he posed as "Ken" in the life-sized pink Barbie Box in the exhibit! Cool find!

We stayed…read moreat Le Mount Stephen Hotel without doing much research on dining options, assuming we'd just find something nearby. But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!

While the restaurant is highly celebrated and located within a Michelin-recognized hotel building, it does not hold a Michelin star of its own. But it is extremely classy. We decided to do lunch instead of dinner and it was a little more our speed, but if very, very attentive waitstaff is not your thing and $200 for lunch I'd skip this spot. We went because it had reviews for amazing beef Wellington and my husband hadn't had any in decades. And we were on vacation so let's go! The food was beautifully plated and service was impeccable inside of an amazingly decorated dining room that looked like a library in a mansion. The meals themselves weren't obscenely expensive but add a glass a wine, bread (it was not included) and coffee and it put us close to $200. But it was a great experience and I had never had beef Wellington - it was melt in your mouth good. Might go again next time we come up from CT.

The server seated us without warning, and when we went to order, each item we requested had run out. No Cuban, no chicken melt, no several other delicious sounding things. She gave us 10 more minutes to look over the menu and come up with a plan B. Truthfully I wanted to jump ship, but couldn't because our drink orders were already in, and I was captain of this gastronomic journey. We'd set sail without proper forecasting! We settled on the baked egg and salmon bowl, neither what we were exactly craving. The baked egg was fairly tasty, a shakshouka-esque experience accompanied by rustic bread for hasty dipping. The salmon bowl was excellent, with delicious dressing, but the salmon portion was oh-so-meager. It made me wonder if the lunch rush had given the kitchen such a beating that they had split my salmon filet in half and served it to me and my neighboring table friend. Check out my photo and tell me if that portion seems right? The lore says Michael Jordan worked his rear off every game because he always told himself there was probably at least one kid in the stands who came there to see THE Michael Jordan. Well this kid in the stands caught Olive et Gourmando taking the night off. There is a risk for peril if you choose this restaurant, especially if you are in Montréal for a limited time!

Food was just okay; foie gras was overly sauced. Service was the main issue. My cappuccino was mostly foam, and the replacement was still charged on the bill. The bar is first come, first served, so if you forget to book ahead, it's definitely worth trying your luck. You can still order anything from the full menu. The modern, upscale interior sets the tone for a fancy brunch experience that feels both elegant and welcoming. Foie gras for breakfast? Absolutely yes. They also have a full bar for anyone who wants something pretty to sip on while enjoying their meal. The servers were bilingual in French and English, and they were kind, attentive, and made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. My goal was to eat as much foe grais as I can on this trip so I ordered the Foie Gras Poached Eggs. OMG starting off with the bread that was on the bottom, it was so soft and fluffy. Literally melted in my mouth. The foie gras had a beautiful sear and was rich and silky, with a texture that honestly reminded me of ice cream. There was also a touch of sweetness in the sauce that cut through the richness in the best way. Every bite was perfectly balanced. I was super impressed and will absolutely try to visit again the next time I'm in Montreal.
