Very authentic, no utensils! The food is served on injera which is a spongy, sourdough that is thicker than a tortilla but much thinner than a flatbread and used as the vessel to get food to your palette. If you like sourdough flavour, you'll enjoy the injera! Lots of delicious vegetarian dishes with a similar number of meat dishes (chicken, lamb and beef). This is a small family owned establishment with a traditional feel and flavour from Ethiopia. The service is fine, calm and laid back. It's not over the top giddy that we have come to expect from most chains. Authentic artwork is everywhere but the decor is not super impressive. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone looking to try something new and different! The restaurant has an excellent feel, and is perfect for a date or a night out with friends. The food is of excellent quality as well. I would suggest getting the Tibs. It is also the only Ethiopian restaurant in Saskatchewan! There is live entertainment at the restaurant on Saturday nights, which is a lot of fun! Give it a shot, you will love it! read more

Thought I had ordered a curried beef stew. I received beef hamburger and the Currie was omitted. The serving was fine unless you are hungry.

Selam's food is tasty, no question. but i think each time we order take out we get something incorrect. So double check the order while you are there. Once that is all squared away, it's delicious food. read more
