We went for supper. The steaks we had are not in the Regina top 5. Caesar salad was okay if you like excessive garlic! I had the prawns with my steak and they definitely were the best part of the evening. The drinks we had : 2 Caesar's with watered down Clamato and 1 paralyzed that was mediocre. A full time bar tender is recommended to get some consistency. $33 for this three drinks is beyond ridiculous! Such a relaxing and friendly place. You feel like you're the only ones in the restaurant. Very relaxing and peaceful. The service was good, the food was good, had to send steak back wanted well done came very red but they did correct it and my steak was great. I wanted escargot for an appetizer they were out, wanted their chocolate explosion for dessert this to was out. Subpar food, okay service. We ordered the shrimp skewer dinner, and the shrimp was overcooked. We also ordered the beef souvlaki, but the beef came rare instead of medium well. The pre-dinner salads weren't edible; they tasted like they used bad store-bought dressing. We definitely won't be going back. read more

The lamb was amazing, as was the garlic toast and ceasar salad. Actual toast buttered with garlic infused butter served hot and melting not hard and dry from a sleeve of aluminum foil. This has been a family favourite for as long as I can remember. I am now passing this tradition on to my fiance and our future family. The staff have always been super friendly and welcoming and ensure our needs are met and that our dining experience is everything we hoped it would be. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is perfect for a family celebration or romantic night out for 2. The restrooms are modern and also very clean. As for the food: I have never been disappointed eating at this restaurant. The food is always flavourful and well cooked. Most entrees are served with a Greek, Ceasar or tossed salad to start - all of which are delicious. The Ceasar salad is my favourite as the dressing is creamy and unique to this restaurant. The salads are also served with Garlic bread and it is always perfectly buttered, (I dislike dry garlic toast) but know this is never an issue at Grekos. Some of the dishes I have had at this restaurant include their Calamari, Grekos stuffed chicken and Greek Platter for 2. On this particular occasion, my husband and I shared the Greek Platter for 2, which left us full and satisfied with enough left over for an entire meal at home! The portion is fantastic and it is a wonderful way to sample Greek inspired dishes without ordering separate meals. The Greek roast potatoes are delicious, the roast vegetables are seasoned perfectly and each meat portion on the platter has a unique flavour, yet they all work together. You are served lamb, pork Souvlaki, Greek chicken, Moussaka, Spanikopita, feta and tomato slices and dolmades. Finally for dessert we shared a slice of Baklava which was also delicious and a sweet treat. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Regina or if you live in Regina and have never been. They do accept reservations as well as AmEx cards. I got the chicken souvlaki with rice pilaf and a side greek salad. Everything was well prepared and they don't skimp on the amount of food served. I wish they sold the greek salad dressing because I'd stock up. Let me tell you about the chicken. Oh my, its seasoned with lemon, fresh oregano and greek spices and cooked over coals. Greko's has the best Greek food in Regina, hands down. I try to come here every time I'm back at home - it is a family favourite and we absolutely love the food here. My favourite dish by far is the stuffed Greek chicken - delicious crispy-skin chicken breast stuffed with yummy, salty feta, served with Greek potatoes and Greek salad. Makes my mouth water every time I think about it! A close second is the rack of lamb. Their service is great, prices reasonable and the food comes out pretty quickly. Service: Amazing. I wanted to get a Saganaki to go. The owner told me that it was no good to go. He told me to sit down and eat the saganaki while I wait for the take out. Nice enough of him to tell me. Decor: A bit dim and steakhouse-like. Mind you they do have steaks. Food: Saganaki was great. Not too salty, with a bit of freshness. The tenderloin souvlaki was good, it came with rice and veggies. The meat was a bit chewy BUT I did wait 15 mins before eating it. It came with a salad and toast. It seems that I didn't get any tiziki sauce though. Review: It wasn't cheap but I think the service sets this restaurant apart from the best. The owner greeted 2 tables and he knew them by name. He must be doing something right. Reason for stars: I give it 4 stars. Although the service was excellent and the food was good, it was on the expensive side. Ok this is one of the worst meals I have ever had, it was so bad I never even sent it back as I knew they were not going to improve on it. I think maybe my husbands had to be redone as his came out hot and it was very tasty (the chicken Slovaki) and mine sat under the lamp for a bit. My rice was greasy and slightly dried out due to sitting under the lamp. The calamari was a greasy mess. I would complain about the service but there was so little if it it doesn't seem mentionable, but maybe she was having a bad day. She was not unpleasant..... Just not pleasant. Went on Saturday at 1pm, was not busy. Service: fantastic, prompt and attentive but not clingy Decor: surprisingly nice, although the laminated menu seems at odds with the atmosphere. We went for an anniversary dinner and the service was spectacular. The service vet was very friendly and accommodating. Also, since we were there for a celebration, we were given a separate dining room, which was a nice touch. I had the spanakopita dinner. It was alright but a bit dry and not hot when it came out. I had the baklava for dessert, which I was super excited about, as it was one of my favorite desserts. It was also alright. It was also dry as it seemed like a like of phyllo and not enough honey and nuts. The other people I were dining with loved their meals which included a Greek salad, gyro plate and chicken plate. The first time I ate at Grekos in 2008 it was absolutely great. The food was fresh and hot, the service was fast, the atomosphere was really comfortable and it was only about $10 per person for lunch. After that initial visit however, I ate there 3 more times and it was terrible. The vegetables put in my Greek wrap were from a tossed salad (with mushrooms and lettuce) instead of freshly chopped tomato and cucumber like you usually see in veggie gyros/greek wrap. My dining partner's chicken was at least a day or so old and tasted it. And the caesar salad was soggy. Too bad because this restaurant made such a good impression the first time around. read more

I had the filet mignon it was perfectly cooked rare but was lacking flavour of anything. I've had a lot of steaks and cook them regularly definitely not the best filet mignon I've had and it was quite expensive too at 50 cad. Wasn't bad I enjoyed it. read more

We chose Greko's for a quiet business lunch. There is lots of parking in their lot and it is easy to get to their location. I enjoyed the gyros pita with Greek salad and Greek fries. The restaurant was quiet so it was easy to have a business meeting over lunch. Paying for the meal took longer than I expected so it may not be the best place if you are in a rush to get back to work after lunch. read more

Definitely a very good Greek food place even by Toronto standard. Pleasantly surprised here. Recommend the Greek salad. After a long drive, the refreshing crispy greens are just rejuvenating. The lamb steak was very tasty and grilled to exactly the "medium" we wanted. The assorted kobab - soft and juicy, full of flavor. The waitress was very friendly, made real good recommendations. We lived in Denver for a long time and loved going to this family ran greek place and this is every bit as delicious (maybe even a touch nicer! Forgive me Pete's!) Why is this place getting good reviews? As someone who is a big fan of Greek food and eats it at least weekly, this is the most disappointing experience I have had in quite a while. Ordered takeout so I can't really comment on the staff or service, though I wouldn't call it an overly friendly vibe. Ordered the chicken souvlaki meal, get this, if you want a Greek salad rather than a house salad you have to pay an upgrade fee, THIS IS A GREEK RESTAURANT!!!!! But that's just dumb,the real crime is that this meal cost over $23! What you get is roughly one skewer of chicken, some kind of spuds and bagged vegetables. Why is there bagged carrots and broccoli with a souvlaki? If this meal was 10-14 bucks I could maybe put up with it. The worst part is that the flavours of the meat and roast potatoes were actually pretty good. in a big city this would not fly, way to expensive, just doesn't seem to be a ton of competition here. Well, my local rep took myself and our high profile out of town client there for dinner after a long day of meetings and touted it as the best Greek food ever. We were all starving. the service was good other than they told us we had to leave in 90 minutes because they needed our table..(not that big an issue, we didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night). The Greek salad is an upcharge? Huh? The Caesar salad was soggy and the Greek Ribs were very dry. Our client and I played along, but this meal was just OK. I was also stunned by the price. Arrived at 6:45 on a Friday and it was packed. Asked for a table of 5. Said it would be 5 minutes. At 7:30 we were seated. There is no lounge, so you just stand by the coat rack staring trying to will people to leave. They take reservations and plenty of people took advantage of that. The meal was large and plentiful and definitely had the usual lemon and oregano flavour. The veggies were varied and crunchy. The plates were hot. Normal calamari and the shrimp weren't overcooked. DREADFUL!! went for lunch and was so disappointed ! I asked for a 1/2 size omelette (the menu stated that the omelette was 4 eggs) the server said they were usually closer to 3 eggs than 4 which phased me . However, I asked for a smaller one anyway.I also ordered a greek salad to go with it. The menu said that a Greek salad contains lettuce ,feta,olives,tomatoes,cucumber,onions and peppers.My salad showed up with lettuce,cucumber, feta and one small wedge of tomato. When I questioned the server about this ,she said the didn't put olives and peppers in ,at lunch time. REALLY ?????. I was still charged full price for a 1/2 size omelette and bad salad.. My husband ordered a chicken club sandwich ,which showed up with a slice of processed cheese !!! some nasty looking ham product and all on a hot dog bun !!!
