I came in for a cleaning and mentioned that I would be paying out of pocket or "cash" and I think that was my first mistake. I think as soon as they figured out I had a credit card in my wallet, it was game on! The dental hygienist was kind in nature, but proceeded to describe how my mouth was essentially a cesspool of calculus / plaque / etc. Which you'll later find out isn't true... They made it paramount that I get periodontal cleanings in ALL 4 QUADRANTS of my mouth. This is over $1,000 if you're paying out of pocket. They also put heavy stress on getting 3 cavities in my upper right area filled ASAP. Well I decide to be on my way after my cleaning. Go see another dentist because I'm 24 years old and really refuse to believe that my mouth is as nasty as they described. I have a beautiful girlfriend that kisses me on the mouth each day, so I mean maybe she could have given me a better opinion... I went to an office in Bremerton to get a second opinion and boy oh boy get your snacks ready: Doc in Bremerton essentially said that I was doing good on keeping up with my teeth. I told him about what the previous dentist told me (with the 3 cavities), and he said that it was only necessary for me to get 1 filling. No further appointments necessary... so I'll be getting that filling and will not be paying over $1k out of pocket for an unnecessary cleaning. It's really sad to be honest. I think it's a money grab just like many things in life. After all, my credit card inside their POS machine is much faster than trying to get ahold of an insurance provider. As soon as they know you have the money, it's time to bend the truth about patients' needs when it comes to procedures. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

What I did 'get' was a few moments face to fade with the most arrogant human being I have ever encountered in my entire life. My 'primary' had told me to seek out and see an oral surgeon, in fact she made a point of it that given her concern, that it be an oral surgeon and not a dentist. But I was received by Dr. 'D' by first, a scolding and an admonishment that I should never have come to see him and then as he repeated himself several times, that I should know that I should have made an appointment with a dentist in the first place. I tried to 'get a word in edgewise' to explain to him that it was my primary that instructed me to get an appointment with and specifically with... an oral surgeon and not with a "regular dentist", but it became very apparent to me that Dr. 'D' somehow found it appropriate to continue to chastise me. His manner was of a superior finding it irritating to him to have a conversation, no matter how brief, with a lesser being. I a not exaggerating any of this. As said, I've never encountered a more arrogant human being in my life. BTW: As said- I have been around a while (82 yrs old), but also, to bring some 'life-earned perspective', in the past I have worn many hats- Chair of Democratic Party for a large state, a lobbyist that, among other things, created and got state funding for the first ever "Office of Preventative Health Care", a long 'gig' as a cancer scientist with many accomplishments, founder of my own mortgage bank, cofounder of a wireless tech company, etc, etc, etc and I certainly have had numerous occasions where I found myself sitting face to face with various powerful personalities but nobody made so much effort to demean or otherwise put me ill at ease as did Dr 'D'.

My insurance covers 90% of this procedure and so I felt comfortable. Once I was examined, shockingly, I was quoted a price of $996.00 of which they required I pay $580.40 up front. (Umm, this wasn't close to my expected 10% co-pay) and I questioned the 90% my insurance covered. I was assured a refund after the insurance paid, not to worry! Once the procedure was done I find out the insurance had only authorized $210.60 PRIOR to the procedure, and my $580.40 went to non covered extras that were added in. This dentist was fully aware PRIOR to the procedure that insurance did not cover my $580.40, and charged me knowing I would never see a refund. VERY DISHONEST!! This greedy dental practice is only concerned with the $$ and the patient is the least of their worries. Had they truthfully informed me that their services were not covered I would have explored other options, but rather than work with me to assure I get the best service for my dollar, they choose to charge for non covered services and screw the patient! "PATIENT BEWARE!!" I gave this dentist a bad review on Google when they inquired about my service satisfaction and then surprisingly I get a call at home from the owner of the practice, Dr . Dahaliwal. The dentist, Dr. Dahaliwal, stated my dissatisfaction was unfortunate, but offered to refund of a portion of my payment "IF" I would take down his negative Google review. I agreed, but guess what......That refund never happened!! (as a result, I did not take down the bad Google review and I'm writing this Yelp review as well) **Note: I am a retired 73 year old and live on a pension, already paying high prices for insurance coverage to assure I get medical and dental care when necessary. I always go with In-Network providers like Kitsap OMS and assume they will give an honest quote for what I have to pay. DO NOT trust this dentist and never agree to their service prior to checking directly with your insurance to verify coverage. So sad a customer has to verify service charges from an In-Network provider!

The doctor himself is informative, understandable and very approachable and calming. I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday. Everything went smooth and fast and comfortable. The 'pre surgery' and post surgery' paper they gave me are so helpful! I still go back to it and read it. I was recommended them by my dentist. Based off my experience I would recommend them!

It's no longer a lack of caring for those you offer services to but the blatant disgust in their face as if they couldn't stand your presence that they need to fix. They scream "I'm entitled and Idgaf" before you talk to them, but then after you're left with a feeling of "there's no way I'm going to be taken care of here". I understand hiring is hard these days, but please for the love of god put someone at your front desk that doesn't ruin your day just by how they look at you. I'd close my office before I had someone like that a paycheck. Find care somewhere else if you want all around good care. There are plenty of offices near by that will provide similar quality care with NONE of the problems they'll give you.

That's fine, but if you don't have the right front desk attitude, go to the back room and have other people more suited for the front. You have patients (seniors and youth) going in for real surgeries and these front desk women hate their lives so much they can't try to build a little rapport to help their clientele that's paying their salaries. I had an abscessed tooth the Dental techs and assistants knew exactly what to do, and they told me exactly what they were gonna do (pull if). And then did exactly what they said they were going to do. My tooth is gone. The pain is gone and I feel so much better. It's nice to know. I told her that doesn't make sense since the text message said to confirm 7:30am and if that were true I never received any information about the change or dialogue to reschedule. Confused again she said she will put in a call back marked as urgent to sort this out... I left my phone on me all day at work for nothing and I've still not received any phone call. My first impression of this place I was sitting between a lady with no teeth teaching an improv scared straight program to the youngsters about brushing every day and a 400 lbs cotton candy lookin' woman in 3/4 length pink spandex and purple hair with 2 kids who have been on ADHD and bi-polar meds "since they were 4" and pregnant with twins; I can't take it anymore and wait with blasting music. I'm going to sound really harsh but it was just so bad..The dental assistant was impersonal, unable to figure out how to take a blood pressure and just weird. She also had the nastiest swamp ass feminine body odor it was really tough to breath. Flossing my teeth poorly, I made a comment about how quick it is and how she did it. "Yeah that's all it takes to do this this and this not that." Once the Dr. saw me he pulled out floss and even did a few lol, really?! She also mumbled instructions back and forth from my seat for reasons that could have been avoided. She also can't aim with that water squirter so it drips all the way down behind your neck, "yeah I'm good at that, hehehe" and tells you not to swallow for like a minute while she goes to get water for you to swish out. Ugh, I would have prepared myself on my way to my seat if I knew you were that unprepared. After the cleanup I was asked if I wanted fluoride on my teeth. I said whatever you think is best. She asked me three times and I said the same answer and finally I directly asked her what she thinks is best. She just looks at the snot mess and slaps it around the palm of her hand. I wasn't sure what it was exactly so I kept asking about it. I've had this stuff as a kid and I don't remember being told to swallow it either. Why swallow the crap when I'm next to a sink anyway? Also, they've never been careless to slather that fluoride snot stuff all over my lips so they're glued shut! It was awful. I could barely talk to the awesome receptionist to schedule my tooth pain to get fixed 5 months from now. Dr. Gross is awesome, but that assistant of his is....well I didn't like her at all.
