We had a wooden retaining wall behind our house that needed to be replaced. Finding a proper…read morecompany to replace this wall was a challenge and it took us a while before we found American Pavers. We read through their reviews and looked them up on Better Business Bureau and decided to call them. We contacted them online and Hiago called us back in a timely manner. His listened to our needs and set up an appointment to come out to look at the work to be performed. He took photos and measurements, explained the work that the company could provide. A few days later we had a quote for the work along with photos of samples of the colored concrete blocks that we could choose from. We agreed to the quote. This was not inexpensive. I say that the cost was comparable to a pretty good used car. Hiago ordered the concrete blocks required, we had to go to the county courthouse to pick up the work permit. 1/2 the payment was payable in advance when we signed the work contract and the rest of the payment was due at the conclusion of construction. We payed with Cashiers Checks. The work took place over two days, where they tore out the original wood retaining wall and began setting the concrete blocks. The Foreman was on site throughout the construction and we were able to go out every so often to see their progress. The workers were professional and definitely appeared to know what they were doing. They finished the wall and hauled away the old wooden structure. The workers was performed in April 2025 and I wanted to wait to write this review to make sure that this wall was solid. I'm writing this in February 2026 and the wall looks great and we have not had any issues. The concrete blocks that we chose blend in nicely with the landscape and every time we drive by the back of our home, we are proud of our purchase. Spending this kind of money, we really want to be proud of it for a long long time and I think we will be. One of the best parts of this experience with American Pavers was the thorough and timely communication by Hiago. He was attentive and always friendly and warm. I would hope that all interactions with contractors would be so pleasant and enjoyable. Thank you Hiago and thank you American Pavers. The cost of the project, when you break it down, shows that a good portion of that cost goes to somewhere other than the work being done or the cost of materials. When you pay over 10k for a project then you expect a professional job and not the bare minimum then the rest disappear. These are my opinions and experience. Your results may be different. I feel the job was rushed, corners cut and again. When you pay a lot of money then you would expect at least 3/4 or more of that finance to go towards labor and product. Heck, If I can earn $4,000 or more just by making a few phone calls... Order and deliver some wholesale pavers, hire someone to remove old concrete, A team of foreign laborors from South America, then count me in but that is exactly my experience. So let's just say I refuse to hire this company again and leave it at that.

Weathertek is the name on the invoice. Please be careful hiring them. Additionally, they used sheetrock puddy to fill the cracks that weren't smoothed out. Got over spray on our flower beds. Broke my glass kerosene lantern, my mother's wind chime, got the putty that they used to fill the cracks all over garden hose that doesn't come off.
