Bought a 2009 Gmc Sierra 1500 4wd truck here 3 months ago. They just got it in , didn't even make it to the lot yet. Had small issues for being an 09 such as tire sensors and a squeak here and there. Gave the vehicle the benefit of the doubt. Upon owning the vehicle in the 3 months , the wheel wells began to rot out , the tires are wearing uneven which means the truck needed an alignment before sale , I had to replace the brakes a week into owning it , it overheats after idling for a short time , the exhaust had rotted , the back left leaf spring clamp was bent , the hitch receiver is rotted out , the spare tire mount was broken when I bought it I gave that the benefit of the doubt as well , and the biggest kicker. The transmission blew! Coming home from work and bam transmission went out. Called to see what could be done and I was " referred to a garage for a cheap price ". The truck bed around the wheel arches were stuffed with bondo and body filler and that began to heavily rot 5 months into ownership. It costs $5000 for a new box for the truck and the truck may be worth that. I was a young adult who was excited to buy his first vehicle on his own and now for the next 5 years I pay $575 a month because I had to refinance $6000 for a new transmission and the work to get done. I was sold the vehicle " as is " but the site advertises in the bio " all cars are fully serviced and detailed with a warranty ". So that's false advertisement. As well as i was told the engine was a 5.3 liter but it turned out to be a 4.8 liter , it only said "V8" on the sticker and i asked. Do you think a reputable business would do a good thing and help out a 19 year old customer who was sold a vehicle with issues? Not even the fact that I am young and new to the finance world. Coming up to a year in financing this vehicle and I have never gotten a response on any social media to my bad reviews I had personally left with my name. Con art at its finest. I have reached out when the trans blew as previously mentioned and for a business that makes xxx,xxx dollars a year they can't spare a few grand to someone who was taken advantage of because they did not have a whole lot of car buying knowledge. Do not buy here , warrenty or not , don't support a business that has a track record like this. I have personally spoken to other people who left bad reviews about here and all the stories seem to have the same end... Ignored , thrown to the side , and never resolved. I have still never been reached out to , they falsely advertise , have a lick and stick operation going on with the vehicles they sell. Avoid this vehicle lot , not just for your wallet , but for your life. I have to waste 5 years on a lemon now thanks to these guys , it's not even street legal anymore due to the rot and rust from bad paint correction and I'd say tens of pounds of bondo on it that has been falling off. read more

On 3/16 I went to this dealership after finding the Equinox online. The offer I was giving I declined. On 3/17 I was told by Ken the car was serviced and ready to go if I changed my mind. On 3/18 I was told a different offer that I accepted. After doing the paperwork online I went to get the vehicle and waited over 30 min. I asked what the issue was and was told it was still being fixed. I told Ken that he had told me it was ready for pick up and he tried telling me that he never told me that and I then showed me his text where he did. He then made arrangements to deliver the vehicle to my home as I had an appt. that I was late for. That evening when I got into the vehicle I saw that the check engine light was on I immediately text Ken and the next day 3/19, brought the vehicle back and Rosati Garage looked at it and thought the new battery caused it. On 3/20 the light again came back on and arrangements were made to have it repaired on 3/25. After the repair on 3/15 that same evening the light again came back on. Arrangements were made to bring the vehicle back again on 4/15. I got the vehicle back on 4/16 and while driving home the light again came back on. The mechanic told me he would be by to pick up the vehicle on 4/20 and never showed. When I called him he said he would pick it up on 4/21 again nothing. Since then I have contacted Ken via text on 4/28, 5/4, 5/5, and 5/12 with no resolution and now being ignored when I call the garage (as Ken instructs me to do) and Ken simply tells me he is on his way over to Rosatis garage. As of today the light is still on and the impression I get is this dealership only cares about the sale not their reputation. I DO NOT recommend doing to them nor Rosati Garage as he also did an oil change and left the vehicle 2 qts low. I have since filed complaints with the Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau and will wait to see what they say as I have everything in writing. STAY AWAY!!!!! read more

I purchased a GMC Yukon with 43,000 miles on it from Select Motors in 07/2015. At the time of purchase I was assured that the vehicle was in good condition as it was just back from being serviced at their garage and came with a 3 month 4500 mile warranty. The day I bought the truck I noticed that the antilock brakes were making noise when coming to a stop. After getting home I found that it was also missing a fog light (not the bulb, the entire assembly) even though it was advertised with fog lights (not light). On the 2nd day that I owned the truck I was on the interstate on my way home from work and the passenger side rear tire blew out. At this time I discovered that the mechanism to lower the spare tire does not work (lucky me). Once the truck was towed to a garage I was told that the inside sidewall of the tire was completely dry rotted. I did not bother Select Motors about these things because I decided that they were minor enough (and to be expected on a used vehicle) that they could have been missed when the truck was serviced before I picked it up. I decided that I would just have them fixed myself. Fast forward 2 months and about 4800-5000 miles, My son and I were driving home from lunch when the truck seemed like it is losing power or just did not want to go. I was only 2 miles from home and tried to baby it home. I turned at the intersection about 1 mile from my house and could not make the slight incline, about 100 feet from the intersection we heard a loud bang and grinding gears and now my new truck no longer moved at all. Once again my truck was on the same tow truck as the first time with the tire. I had the truck towed to the local GMC Dealer (R.B Fries GMC) where they determined that my transmission was shot. I called Joe at Select Motors and he never got back to me, then I went to Select Motors and Joe told me that it is within the warranty time frame but the mileage was over, he said that he would talk the the warranty company and get back to me. A few days later Joe called me back and said the the warranty company wanted me to pay to have the truck towed about 20 miles away to their garage with no promise of them covering the repairs. Joe said there was no way that the warranty company would cover the repairs at a dealer. Joe said that it would cost $5000.00 to $6000.00 at a dealer to replace a transmission. I told him that I was quoted $2500.00 plus tax for a factory new transmission installed at the dealer. Joe agreed that this was a good price but none the less it would have to be towed to the other garage. I told him that I had no way to have it towed because my road hazard only covered towing from the place the truck broke down to a garage and would not move it again. Joe told me that he would find someone to tow it and get back to me. Three weeks later I still never heard anything from Joe and on my way home from work I was in a car accident and my other car was totaled. I had no choice but to have the dealer install the new transmission. I went to Select Motors and Joe seemed completely oblivious to the fact that he still had not got back to me about the towing. I told him that I had the new transmission installed since I never heard back from him and now needed the truck. He said that the warranty company would not do anything since I already had it installed. I asked Joe if Select Motors was going to help with anything and he said that them trying to get the warranty company to pay was all the help they were going to give me. Then he said that he would look into it more and get back with me, that was about a month and a half ago. I'm not holding out hope and needless to say will never do any business and would also advise no one looking for any sort of customer service or follow up do any business with Select Motors on Birney Ave in Moosic PA. read more
