I've worked with Stephany mostly, but also had a session with Katie. Their training (MPT, DPT) and experience (24 years for Stephany) enable them to home in surprisingly quickly on causes of pain. My right shoulder has been really hurting after a fall. The usual culprits, muscle trauma and arthritis, are major sources of this pain. But Stephany soon realized that a pinched nerve in my cervical spine is also causing substantial pain. She's given me a menu of stretching and extension exercises that are simple and effective. And after she has worked on--manipulated--my shoulder for a while, I leave PTSMC feeling decidedly better. Katie worked with me one time when Stephany was unavailable. She had thoroughly discussed my problems with Stephany beforehand, and I got the same level of expert therapy guidance from Katie as I had experienced with Stephany. Stephany and Katie are pleasant and patient. Sidney and Sam at the front desk are pleasant and invariably helpful. The studio itself is bright with plenty of outside light streaming in through the windows, well laid out, and clean. After years of physical therapy that was annoying, but necessary, I consider myself very lucky to have come across PTSMC, where I actually look forward to my physical therapy sessions. My arm was in a 45 degree cast for six weeks, so that by the time it was removed, muscles and other areas were unable to stretch. I couldn't rotate the arm at all, and there was and still is numbness, swollen fingers, and pain throughout. Olga was immediately able to test and ascertain what we were facing, asking pertinent questions and requesting a full medical report from the sugeon's office. Olga and everyone I met there is focused and very serious about getting you back into the game. She went to work immediately with very effective treatment, advice, and a workout plan I could do at home to move things along. By the time she was through, I already had some movement, and a plan of attack until our next appointment. I am so glad to have chosen MPT, and look forward to our next session. I only have about three more weeks before returning to work, which is very labor-intensive, yet I feel fully confident that MPT will have me ready. Fantastic people and facilities. I have had many years of physical therapy with different groups and therapists. This place is the…read morebest and Dominic, my PT is the greatest. Last year I went to a different group where I rarely had the same therapist. I was in a large room with no privacy and often left without guidance or attention. This does not happen with Dominic. Because of insurance I had not seen him for many years. It got to the point where I didn't care if I had to pay out of pocket so I returned to the group and Physical Therapist who had helped me after several surgeries. At this place you get care from the same person each time so you don't have to explain what is going on with a new person all the time. There are public and private rooms which makes the experience more comfortable. Dominic knows what he is doing. I don't feel like he is giving me a cookie cutter plan. He really listens. He has been able to help me figure out where some really awful pain was originating from and addressing it properly. He watches and is attentive for each session as opposed to other places where a therapist had more than one patient at a time and often didn't remember what you were supposed to be there for. I am so lucky to be back in his care. My pain level has significantly decreased and I am able to increase and resume activities I thought might be lost to me forever. I am also grateful that they are now taking my insurance plan. I don't worry that I may actually get injured by my physical therapy as had happened several times in the past with other places. It is so nice to trust the person you are working with. This is the first time in many years that I have hope for leading a less painful life and resuming things that broke my heart to give up. I have been to several connected to hospitals, that had gym and pool access & they do not come close to the unique techniques used by these experts. The KT tape was also amazing! (AKA: my binke, lol) I still use it. I ended up needing to go back to the surgeon, so I only used 10 of 12 visits. It was decided, that after this much time, I was not improving enough, so no sense returning. The claim adjuster was notified and understood. About a month after I left, I got call from the receptionist asking me why I did not come back. Risk management wanted to know? That was odd because Vinnie, decided the facia work was not helping, and suggested I go get the steroid injection, which I did. I would thnk that would have been in my chart and forwarded on. Minor glitch in communication. Very grateful for the feedback on the scoliosis brace that was wrong for me. That was major niceness & I am forever grateful for your input. I was able to return it & found an adult scoliosis brace from Source Ortho, online. I know exactly ZERO about adult scoliosis braces. Another great plus is....Tim picks the best music while you are there. That was the only interaction I had with him, but I appreciate good vibes. Look no further. This is the place for healing~
