The tables at this location are in the back, and are obviously less due to the size of the store. Still, I like it becasue it offers more privacy. Not sure if they offer classes here. The store is located inside of a super market so don't get lost like I did lol.

Of course, this was before our kid learned to walk. After that, we had to cut the sessions short. The sitting area is tight and gets crammed. Naturally, a child walking around would be a nuisance, plus he could get knocked over by somebody getting up from their chair. I like this place. Great selection of wine and beer, as well as spirits. You can pick your wine or beer and they will uncork it for you. They sell food for sharing. It makes for a great evening with friends, and even dates. They also offer classes and presentations (info on website). They have expanded and opened two other locations in Guaynabo. Both are good and worth checking out.

Bottom line: incredible wine selection, best prices per bottle on island (they are 1 of the 2 main…read moredistributors) however a lot of high end stuff around which makes overall prices seem high. Boogie ambiance, which I feel affected their initial customer service towards us negatively. Long line: the entrance is semi hidden as there's a gate to their private parking. Disclaimer: in all honesty, we showed up in hiking attire after having gone to Puente La Hamaca earlier in the day. On arrival we browsed for wines we knew, and noted that there wasn't anyone on the floor. Looking for help, we felt as though we were placed low on the priority list as we saw other customers being attended to. This of course changed when we came wanting to open two bottles on premises and a block of cheese, which is why I'm calling them boogie. Place was filled with 50 somethings in business casual so I guess they thought we weren't buying, but doesn't really excuse them in my eyes. Overall the savings don't warrant a drive here if you're driving from either San Juan or Aguadilla unless you're going to buy a few cases.

Glad we did. We love playing pool so we were happy to find this spot. We went on a Wednesday night and it was packed - only one table. But we did arrive at like 1030pm, so after we arrived some tables cleared out. Still a decent number of patrons. Quarter tables ($1 a game). Tables are decent, balls and cues aren't well kept, but it was alright. A couple of times the balls didn't drop, so we had to call the bartender. Patrons are mostly local, some tourists - mostly a younger crowd. No trouble, most kept to themselves. Beers are decently priced - no smoking allowed inside. We had a good time. The only thing I personally didn't like was the music was SO LOUD!! They could have turned it down a notch - it's not a night club!! But I'm kind of an old lady sometimes, lol. Will definitely return if we stay in the area again on our next visit!

One thing to keep in mind is that this location is much smaller than many Walmart stores on the mainland, so don't expect a huge Supercenter experience. That said, it was well-stocked and easy to navigate. The most interesting part of the experience was the checkout process. When you select how many plastic bags you want, an employee standing nearby actually hands you the exact number of bags you requested instead of letting you take them yourself. It caught me off guard at first, but I assume it's a measure to prevent people from taking extra bags. It's a little unusual if you're not from the area, but certainly not a big deal. Overall, this is a solid Walmart and a convenient stop if you're visiting San Juan and need to pick up essentials. It may be smaller and have a few practices that are different from what mainland shoppers are used to, but the store was clean, organized, and served our family well during our trip.
