FOOD & DRINKS They offer Dim Sum and a wild mix between various Chinese and some Malaysian dishes. We ordered Hainanese Chicken Rice, Wonton Soup, Asam Laksa and Pepper Squid. My favorite of the bunch was the pepper squid. It was not the best I ever had but pretty decent which seems to be the theme in all their dishes we had. The wontons were nice but the soup was really lacking in flavor. Everything else was again pretty decent. I can't recommend the hot oil though. It tasted bland despite the chili and weird. SERVICE Everyone was really nice and lovely. Service was really good. ATMOSPHERE The place looks very outdated. If you prefer restaurants that feel old style like you are thrown back 10 years or so, you will love this. The ladies here still keep the restaurant tidy and clean. RATING Food presentation is very simple, décor is from the 90s or older, food tasted from ok'ish to good. It is just not for me. If they had like one or two amazing items, I would have given them 4 stars despite the things I mentioned before. Give it it try though.

It's comfort food after having a whole week of French and German cuisines. Authentic Malaysian and Cantonese foods. The owners are very nice.

Hands down one of the best flavor Hainanese chicken dishes I've had outside of Singapore/Malaysia/Taiwan. The roti was yummy too! The place was pretty packed by predominantly Asians that spoke either Mandarin or Cantonese, so you be the judge on whether or not it's authentic. If time permits. I would definitely like to go back to try some other dishes!

i'm so close to giving Selera four stars but I think I will go back and try it again before doing so (if it lives up to my expectations of course). On the mission for some good Indian, we stumbled upon Selera, a Malaysian restaurant we have been wanting to try for some time as Malaysian food is some of my favorite in the world. We changed our game plan and headed here only to see that it was packed with parties and others dining. They squeezed us in at a table in the back. My dining partner ate a beef rendang and I ordered a laksa. We also ordered chicken satay and some spring rolls as a starter. The beef was pretty good. I've had better, but it was definitely a worthy meal. The laksa was fairly alright. It did have four pieces of bread in it that went soggy and kind of grossed me out, however. My biggest complaint about the laksa was that it lacked depth. As in, it didn't feel like it had been slowly prepared like a true laksa. It felt rushed and thrown together. But, it was certainly decent and edible. The portion size was great, as well. As for the starters, both were delicious. The satay sauce was super tasty that I could have devoured it on my own! The food came out so quick that I felt like I was in a Mexican restaurant in the US. Not sure how I felt about that. Our bill came to around 39 Euros (included two beers as well). I would definitely head back to Selera and try something else on the menu. The restaurant seems to be fairly popular as when we left there was a line out the door of customers waiting for some good Malaysian food!

I called to make sure they had table since we travelled with young children, but they were fully booked for the night. The person answered the phone sounded very nice over the phone so I decided to make reservation online for the next day, and I was glad I did. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience. The ambiance was fancy, definitely fit for a celebration/anniversary. I felt like we over ordered since we wanted to try many dishes here, but we didn't regret it. All the dishes were delicious. Service was okay. It could be better since it's pretty pricey here. Honestly, we were aware the dining service in Germany is different compared to the US so we didn't expect a top notch service. I would come back if I ever visited Frankfurt again.

The décor nice, casual enough for the price. We are on the patio because of the weather and Covid but inside looks really great also. The service was absolutely shocking. Bad, slow, rude so in reality I think management needs to pay attention but the cook's and all area's in the kitchen deserve 2 thumbs up. Will I go back? Maybe. Frankfurt has fabulous restaurants. Service is definitely very important to me. Make a reservation. Even in Covid the restaurant was packed and people were turned away.

Let me say this, I am from a major city in the states. I live in Washington, D.C. Therefore, I eat sushi.... And I mean I eat a lot of it. In fact, I eat a lot of sushi from very authentic and highly skilled restaurants. This restaurant was neither of any form of decent quality nor authentic. I mean for 12 euros per a person I can't complain too much. However, I was just completely floored at their poor service and poor food quality. I also found hair in their food and when I told the staff they were so rude towards me. This place is not worth your time!!! It's a big no no. I can't believe they have customers. I am thinking because the sushi presence in this city is so poor, they are able to stay afloat.

My group did not want to add the hotpot option because it would be too much food. The my had fresh shrimp and pork dumplings and miso soup which I loved. They also had a good salad bar with amazing kimchi and fruit. Limited ice cream options - just vanilla ice cream and fruit bars. However, for this price point you can't complain since it is in a busy center.
