It's a nice little hybrid of a community lib downstairs and a college student space upstairs. Very nice chill study space with comfy chairs with plugs and a reference lib on duty upstairs. I really like the giant hanging baby exploring the abc's and what not as you walk up the atrium stairs.

The staff is always very attentive and friendly. I appreciate the whole design of the building itself, it's spacious, well organized and very light! The children's area is size-able and there are about 8 computers for public use! They are working hard to maintain social distancing protocols. You must be masked to enter and they do enforce it. Likewise all employees are masked. If you haven't been to a library lately...I suggest it. You can renew books online nowadays! There's great programs for kids and adults alike. Even virtual book clubs! You can rent audio books and music.

This branch of the Pinellas County library system may not be the biggest in size or reading…read morematerial but it always has the latest in novels, science, history and cultures. I've only been a member here since last summer but every time I return books I find new ones that I never thought I'd run across at all and which continue to intrigue me. The pictures I've included are only the latest in what's captured my interest. The building itself is easy to find, being just two blocks north of Park Avenue in Pinellas Park off of 52nd Street, centrally located and near retail outlets. They're very open to children, having activities and times for them in rooms especially equipped for their interests. Staff are extremely helpful with any questions I've had and will go out of their way to help you find a specific book. They also carry recent as well as classic films and offer "gently used" books for sale from 50 cents to $2. For me, this library has come to be a candy store for my mind in that it continually challenges my knowledge of life. I can easily lose all track of time here, absorbed in a book or magazine. Their hours are very reasonable and for those of you who work M-F they open at noon on Saturdays and Sundays.

They looked earnest & engrossed in their duties. Friday, 5/2/22, I visited this library for a one hour lesson in writing a "love letter will." It was interesting and I learned a few things. It was also a pitch for estate planning and wills, but I'm happy with our attorney and our will. I took the useful brochure with me. Afterwards, I wandered down the wide hallway to the double glass doors to peruse the books for sale in the front of the library. Prices were reasonable. I also looked around at the plethora of books and other materials that patrons could check out. But I had to call this visit short. I had to hurry to Palm Harbor to lead a class (Tai Chi for Balance). I hope to return for a more in depth look at what this majestic library offers.

I explained that i had set the computer to print legal size and it gave me 8 by 11. What appeared to bethe one in charge. then suggested a computer class, or I could go to another branch. I found that answer to be in the poorest taste. I have been using this library for 20 years or more. And do not appreciate discrimination. In any form.
