I love this library in Casselberry for the weekly kids storytime! They have a huge selection of kids books as well. In addition to books, they have tables and chairs, puzzles, coloring options, and blocks, which is a nice option to keep little ones entertained. This is a big, spacious library with two floors. They have community rooms and seating areas throughout. The library does show its age, but they do a good job of keeping it clean. Their Friends of the Library store downstairs is also affordable and they live up to their name - the staff is very friendly. Overall, a clean, spacious library in Seminole County.

We stopped by this library to do some research - the library itself is a little outdated, but that did not affect the selection they had. I thought it was cool that they had a program called 'Book Bounce,' in which the library sends a kit that goes with your themed curriculum - this is avaialble for licensed daycare provides, Head Start programs, schools, as well as other community child care programs - it includes 12-14 books, a puppet, and a music CD. Also, check their County Calendar for a list of events, as they have tax help, a Teen Library Council, Kindle assistance, etc. My most favorite part of the library is the framed Read poster of SEAN CONNERY (HEART HEART HEART!!!)! +framed Connery 'Read' poster :D

I have lived in seminole county for over 15 years now and I have had privilege of having this library be 3 miles from my house. It has really good hours for you to come visit. The first floor is entirely a conference rooms and a bookstore. On the 2nd floor is where the library actually is and they have a good variety of books, magazines, audio books available for borrowing. There is even an online app now named Libby which you can use to read books via your tablet or kindle which is really good. Not sure if it's as big as the Orange County one but it is still pretty impressive. Check out the library... let it help your imagination roam free.

Thxs SCPL for having the current novel by Eric Jerome Dickey that I needed for my book club read.

Excellent children's section. My daughter recently attended the summer reading kick off and had a wonderful time.

Fortunately, I was able to evacuate and found a FANTASTIC spot in the courtyard that was not only comfortable, but there were power outlets within reach. Laptopping from outside? Bonus! This is a large library with lots of space. There several different quiet areas though none that were "okay to talk" areas. Lots and lots of books of all sorts, plenty of parking and many comfortable spaces. If you're a train fan, the Amtrak rail goes right past. Fun to watch the train going through here. Initially, I went over to use the computer systems to print a few documents and to scan and email a few documents. It was easy to access the computers and get everything completed. There is a small quite study area tucked away in the back. I was able to easily connect to the internet and get a few things accomplished. On another visit, I returned with a group, and we used the meeting room up from. The group had to set up and put up the tables and chairs - it was easy to do and there was plenty of equipment for our needs. Overall, I like this little library. I'm glad that it is here.

FINALLY had a Saturday off, and I'm so sad I wasn't able to make it out here before now. I also brought a bag of books to sell. The processing for the books I brought took about 30 minutes (it was an IKEA bag FULL, I just needed to transfer to one of their bins). That gave me time to look around and see what they might have. Not all of my books were accepted, which was fine, because the reason this place is so big and yet does such good business is that the books are well currated to ensure that they are desirable. Older books, or less desirable are kept down to one copy, whereas more popular books may have three or four of the same book, but the book is popular enough that it will be sold. Value wise, the rare, signed, and first editions area is VERY reasonably priced. Value for books brought in is given as either cash (I was given a lesser amount this way) or store credit I walked out with a few of the sequels of book series I have the first and maybe second of, but this way I could complete the series for less. I also found a few books on my TBR that were available. Books are indeed at used book prices, not hugely marked up, so overall I considered the visit a huge win. Overall, I guess my complaint is only that this is the only location, and I wish there was a sister store more toward central or even the west side of Orlando.
