Kraft Azalea Garden is absolutely stunning. It's one of those places that instantly makes you breathe a little deeper. So peaceful, quiet, and full of gorgeous views everywhere you turn. There are plenty of benches and spots to sit, whether you want to read a book, have a conversation, journal, get a little work done, or just exist for a while. It's a great place for a picnic too. The trees, the water, the light coming through the branches... it all feels really calming. I even saw a proposal while I was there, which was such a sweet reminder of the good things in life. The path is super short if you want a quick walk, but the whole space is perfect for spending an evening outside and resetting your mind. Definitely one of Winter Park's gems.

This place is gorgeous. You can tell it's so well maintained. Great for families and for pictures. Has a cute little book area, spots to have a picnic. A nice little trail and places to look out on the lake and gorgeous things to look at.

My favorite small park in the Orlando area! A great place to walk or sit and watch the sunset in Winter Park. There is limited parking,be mindful of that. The park is close to Park Ave and surrounded by beautiful large homes. It's also a great place to take professional pictures. Many people take their engagement photos there I love going for a walk at this park and just enjoying the tranquility and watching the sunset

Our boat guide at the nearby Winter Park Scenic Boat Ride suggested that we visit the Kraft Azalea Garden, so after we finished our boat tour, we headed to the garden. ( We were able to see the park from the boast ride! ) The garden wasn't in bloom so much when we visited but it was still worth the trip. Stunning lake views, cypress trees that are nearly a century old, and swaying Spanish Moss make this park a tranquil and restful place to visit. However, it is also a very busy place as we saw a first birthday photoshoot, a quinceanera photoshoot, a birthday party taking place, and several couples enjoying picnics near the lake. Our boat guide also mentioned that small weddings are held at Kraft Azalea park. Several jet skiers and kayakers passed by on the lake as we visited the park. There is also a small play area for children and decent restrooms as well as picnic tables and a small boat launch dock. The history of this park is rich and dates back to the 1930s. Several plaques and monuments scattered throughout the park reveal the history of this small but fascinating park located in beautiful and historic Winter Park.

This park is so well known simply because of the amazing beauty of the tree with the overlook on the water. The park is dog friendly. Parking lot and bathrooms available

A beautifully kept park perfect for photo shoots and picnics. Hidden away in the beautiful winter park

I found this park by asking searching on the web "Parks in Orlando." The pictures online didn't do thos place justice. You have to see it with your own eyes. You can have some beautiful photo shoots here. There were two wedding photo shoots going on when I got here. This park has a little walking trail. The neighborhood surrounds the park is so beautiful. Big houses all around. What made this park very picturesque was fhe Banyan and Live Oak trees filled with Spanish moss. I came here to sit by the water to meditate for a little while. It was a great time, until it started to rain. I took that as a cue to leave. Lol. Thank you for reading.

A tiny pretty public park on the southern shore of Lake Maryland, that reminds me of Steppingstone park - a little homesick. The Spanish moss dominate the park. George and Maud Kraft must have played major role in developing this park/garden.

Beautiful park on Lake Maitland located within a scenic neighborhood. Very old trees and plenty of green space to take a walk, have a picnic and even get married! Also, if you are looking for a pretty spot to take professional photos I would consider coming here (saw a ton of different families doing photo shoots).

Beautiful Miller park right off the lake in Winter Park!! Love coming here to hangout and relax under the huge trees! Plenty of shade and it's so nice to walk around the lake. I set up hammock and have a little picnic. I love to watch the boats in the lake and some of the wildlife (squirrels and birds haha!). On nice days it's so peaceful!!

Nice little park. Lots of azaleas - of course. Pretty view of the water, lots of benches available and parking available.

Really beautiful area! The walking paths are mostly shaded by the beautiful trees. There was a lot going on without it being busy, people getting professional pictures taken, sea-doos, wildlife. Ultimately a quiet place to have a picnic or take a nice walk!

I've been here many, many, many, times and never get tired of this charming park. Normally it's when I'm bike riding and stop here for a break, but I've also been here with friends to have a picnic, or the latest visit was to paint the beautiful columns and trees. What makes this park so unique is that no matter where you're at you have a great view. Its in a beautiful neighborhood, and you see the heart and soul of Florida with it's beautiful massive trees, the moss hanging off of them, the beautiful birds, it's really not hard to get inspired when you're here whether you're painting like us, or taking pictures. Apparently you can rent areas for weddings here which we previously didn't know about. They have clean rest rooms, and some parking but you'll more than likely have to park on the street on weekends when there's lots of people. Will definitely be back.

Sad when I see my dogs years later unable to walk like they previously could, or disoriented, lost in there. We sure did enjoy that park extensively. The town of Winter Park was plotted when Loring Chase and Oliver Chapman purchased 600 acres in 1881. Life was given to the new town when the railroad was persuaded to extend it's line. The railroad depot built in 1882 was the towns first building. A store was built at Park Ave and Morse Blvd that housed a mercantile, post office, and assembly room. The building still stands. The town was chartered in 1887 and became a retreat for wealthy northerners looking to escape the cold climate in the winter, hence the name of the town Winter Park. The towns economy was built on entertaining winter tourists. Rollins College, the oldest college in Florida was founded here in 1885. The city was incorporated in 1925 and is governed by four city commissioners and a mayor. Today Winter Park is 9 square miles and home to approximately 28,500 residents. The town is known for it's lakes, parks, museums, and shops and restaurants along historic Park Avenue. My favorite restaurant is the Briar Patch. The Winter Park Historic District includes buildings constructed from 1882 through 1965, and it runs along Park Avenue from Canton to Comstock Avenues. Winter Park has held on to its old small town charm. Popular past times here include a boat ride on Lake Osceola, a meal on Park Avenue, and a trip to the Morse Museum. Favorite festivals include the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival and the 4th of July Celebration in Central Park. The Winter Park Historic District is a delightful mixture of the new and the old and just like in the 1800's you can still arrive by train.
