We planned a complete overhaul of our backyard and she was there at every stage. First, she helped us understand what plants we had. She spent an hour with us teaching us about them and how to prune them and take care of them. When it came time to start our major project, she came to our house multiple times to talk about how plants would be laid out, and she met with our patio contractor in person to coordinate their efforts. Eventually, Jennifer and her crew came to plant a bunch of items, add mulch, and generally spruce things up. She had great advice at every step. The cost for her services was extremely reasonable. She provided invoices by email and was very communicative. There were also multiple instances when she suggested how we might accomplish some tasks ourselves so that we didn't have to pay her for them. She's also just a nice person, including when she brought our newborn son a birthday card. The fact that this is a woman-owned business and she has an all-woman landscaping crew is just the icing on the cake. We will look forward to calling on her again in the future. This business, and Jennifer in particular, is a total gem in the world of home and outdoor service providers.

Jeff is endlessly knowledgeable, friendly, responsive and he is a consummate professional. He was with us every step of the way, following up with other partners, code officials etc., looking out for every detail and keeping everything moving quickly and efficiently. He worked with us on every aspect of the project and gave us the most fair pricing we could ask for. Due to circumstances beyond any of our control (lack of supply availability within our timeline due to the pandemic) we were unable to complete the project this year but we look forward to picking back up with Jeff where we left off next spring. The level of customer service we received was second to none and level of trust we have in him is rare to find. We could not recommend Jeff and his team at Coastal more highly -- if you are lucky enough to work with him you will be thrilled with the quality, customer service and honesty you will receive.

Gnome does good work but is still using gas-fired hedge trimmers and leaf blowers, which make so…read moremuch noise they are disruptive to neighbors' peace and quiet- not to mention the birds! The decibel level of 90 and up is literally sufficient to cause hearing damage after 10 minutes. I value good relations with my neighbors and therefore will not use Gnome again until they switch to electric trimmers and blowers.

Am not sure she heard much of what I said. She did give me a diagram of what they were proposing, which I approved, but it is my fault that I wasn't more savvy about plants. Some of what they planted wasn't what I had asked for (ex. No yellow flowers, but more blue), and much of what they planted seemed sub-standard to me. Several of the plants / bushes were already dying; some were not standard varieties (ex crocuses rhat were very very tiny); not many of the plants I said I liked. They did come back and replanted the dying plants and promised to come in the fall to plant replacement bulbs. I have decided to ask them not to come even though I have already paid for them. I feel disappointed when I look at my garden.
