"Earth is our element" - That's the very 'deep' message that greets you when you visit the website of Gnome Landscaping. And I believe it, because customers, or potential customers moreover, don't seem to be elemental to them at all.
Each time I've contacted this company, I've been put off. Let me say, I'm super happy they're very busy. I love to know about local business thriving. However, contacting them late last winter/early spring to ask about lawncare and light landscaping for property I manage, I was told they'd not be able to get to it until summer. The guy I spoke to sounded irritated that I really needed, and was requesting at least a site visit within a month. Nope. No way. They're just too busy I was told.
Cut to early December. They plow and sand my nextdoor neighbor's driveway. So, I call thinking I'd use them, they'd receive the business for doing the same thing they do for someone else just 15 feet away. Again, before I could even get my full request out, I was asked for my information to put on their "waiting list". ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
Again, no bitterness toward their popularity, but if a company is THAT popular, would they not hire more seasonal workers? Or perhaps update their website with an honest "We're not accepting new customers?"
Doing business with this company is not unlike attempting to visit one of the growing number of pretentious restaurants in Portland. There isn't even a pause of appreciation, just a rush to tell you they're really busy/important/"exclusive" and don't have time for your business.
The second time was my bad so, I'll never go back, and I wouldn't recommend them to you or anyone else. read more
