As the Activity Director at Heirloom Assisted Living, I can truly say this is one of the most…read morespecial places I've ever been part of. Every single day I get to work alongside the most amazing Administrator and leadership team who genuinely care -- not just about the residents, but about the staff too. Our Administrator leads with compassion, integrity, and heart, and it shows in everything we do. Our residents are the heart of Heirloom. They are full of stories, wisdom, humor, and personality. It is such a blessing to create meaningful activities, celebrations, and moments of joy for them. Seeing their smiles during events, music days, games, and simple everyday interactions reminds me why I love what I do. Heirloom Assisted Living isn't just a facility -- it feels like family. The teamwork, support, and positive atmosphere make it a wonderful place to work and an even more wonderful place to live. I am so proud to be part of a community that values dignity, engagement, and genuine connection. If you're looking for a caring, welcoming environment for your loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend Heirloom Assisted Living.

It has been extremely hard on her to lose her independence and have to rely so much on others. She stayed in a rehab center for a few months, which was a nightmare, and moving her to Heirloom Inn has been a lifesaver for her-both mentally and physically. The facility is beautiful-decorated like you'd expect your grandma's house to be and well cared for. I happened to visit during Christmastime and the seasonal decorations were abundant-a few trees in the lobby and sitting areas-one with pictures of residents on the branches. It's apparent that someone puts effort into the aesthetic here, which is much appreciated. Her "room" is more like a small apartment. She's got a kitchen, living area, bathroom and bedroom. Although it's not "her" home, it's got the feeling of home and she has personalized it with things that bring her comfort. I've had a few interactions with staff members and everyone has been very kind. The vibe here is not sad and hopeless like other places, but truly a community. If you are considering moving a family member into this facility, you won't regret it.

This Administrator allowed a non family member who exercised undue influence using a "power of attorney " to unlawfully take our Mom from the hospital she was at and check her into this facility. Our family had an Emergency Guardianship and had plans to move our Mother to a facility closer to family and distance from her "trusted friend". The Administrator of this facility actively supported, encouraged and participated in blatant disregard for our family and our legal counsel. The staff at this facility under the direction of this Administrator actively engaged in preventing calls, visits and contact with our Mother who had dementia. We made repeated attempts to schedule a meeting with this Administrator to discuss our Mom's health and social history. She would not return our calls. When we drove 2 hours to get to the facility she would slip out the back door and claim she was gone for the day. Our Mom called the facility a "prison". Rightfully so. This person should not be allowed to have the unchecked power she has. She caused great pain and suffering for our entire family. She is in a position she should not have. Shame on the parent company for allowing her to go unchecked. Our legal counsel comments were that in 16 years of dealing with these types of companies, this Administrator had the most blatant disregard he had ever experienced. This Administrator played a major role in allowing a non family member who catfished our Mother and unlawfully place her in this facility where she passed a year later. It was the worst year of her life as a patient and ours because this Administrator would not make the time to meet with her family to discuss her needs and concerns. She actively participated and promoted in family estrangement and helped our Mom's catfisher maintain complete control. The Administrator of this facility should be investigated and removed from her position. She has far too much power and very little oversight.
