The sales representative took us through their program, tested the clients gait and balance, and brought out samples to try. Unfortunately, my relative's shoes didn't fit properly with their inserts. They're a bit too wide for her, and it was noticeable with their insert. The representative wouldn't go any further. He asked us to come back when she has properly fitting shoes. We really appreciated his honesty and care.

I received my first prosthetic at Falk. For several years I got new prosthetics there, depending on…read moremy insurance. They "recruited" my service before I got my amputation in the hospital. I trusted them. As the years passed by, I had a prosthetic that needed repair a few times. Falk and I both knew what the problem was but they always made me wait for Mr Price to drop off the prosthetic. I could never just run in and drop it off. Towards the end I started feeling like I was not a valued customer because my prosthetic would sit there for sometimes a week and I would have to call there and ask what was going on with it. In a day or two after the call, my prosthetic would be ready. On a few occasions there was no copay at the office for labor (which should have been on warranty) and I would get a bill in the mail 3 months later. At one point, because I didn't pay the last bill, a lady named Sandy made a sarcastic phone call to my emergency contact requesting payment. This was the last straw. The emergency contact should only be used for medical emergencies and not bill collection. Falk really showed me how unprofessional they were when they stooped to those tactics. My new prosthetic place has offered me some new, advanced prosthetic products that are easier on my leg. I'm no longer stuck in the same constricting prosthetic that Falk had me in for 7 years. Look for other places, Falk is old and looks to suck out your insurance. Rude billing staff also (Sandy).

We decided to go back to this store because we both purchased New Balance sneakers in February...and the gentleman that helped us back then was very nice! Don't recall his name... But today was an entirely different experience- I see that there are other comments and reviews for the woman behind the desk- rude and unsympathetic. We walked in and the first thing she said was, "do you have an appointment" and I said No. I asked if my mom could get a pair of shoes and she said "No - you need an appointment- booked for the day"! Then she said quite abruptly "you should have called"...hahahaha- really... I said I was here in Feb. and we just walked in- I asked her when they changed the policy, and she said about a month ago... Unless you are a customer that visits this store every day, how would one know about this policy change? { I viewed the website before I wrote this review and it doesn't even state anything about the required appointment - except: "Appointments for medical issues are highly recommended". Actually, the main webpage states: " We're not your everyday shoe store! Call us today to see how we can help you"! Now that is a pleasant and welcoming statement- too bad they don't carry over that business model into their store.} Then I asked the woman if I could speak to the man who was helping (the one and only customer in the store), and she said "No, you can't" - Hold on whoa!! What is her attitude? Well at that point I turned to my Mom and her aide and said "we are leaving; they are very disrespectful" ...As I passed by the man, I spoke to him directly anyway...asked if he could quickly see my Mom since she is elderly and doesn't get out much....I intentionally spoke to him because unless you are my GOD, you are not going to tell me who I can or can't communicate with...I found out he is the owner and he said he has no staff and he is very ill - of course, I am so sorry for your situation, but you should fire your rude staff person and close up shop now... perhaps you just don't care how you treat people! Karma works in strange ways. Thank goodness for FLEET FEET - they were very accommodating, and my Mom was in her new pair of $150 sneakers within an hour after we left your shop. If I could convince others reading this review not to come to your store then I have accomplished one small deed.
