When I asked Senske to come and preform services for my lawn I was having trouble with some spots 2021. I was assured in the new year (2022) they would have everything green and lush. They have come monthly but were still unable to fix my brown spots, it was not for lack of watering either. I have asked the technicians what is going on and they have no idea. In August I was told they were coming to aerate and reseed. I declined because they charge way too much and the reseeding they did last year was awful. The person who did the reseeding did everything including flower beds, what a mess. September I got a notice they were coming to fertilize and they were going to do a pre-emerge on my lawn. I called to tell them I had just reseeded my lawn and it makes no sense to preform this service. It seems to me this is a little backwards for them to want to preform the reseeding themselves and then the next month want to kill what they just did. I have had them do my trees also. When I signed up with them I was assured that they would be able to take care of my trees especially the Crimson Maple in the front yard. They did two services and the tree was still not doing well I called and asked to have them come and do iron, I got resistance from them. After a lot of convincing they finally agreed to come out. Still the tree NOT doing well. I had to reach out to an arborists and was told the tree was Iron deficient and needed to be sprayed every month until it starts to recover. I will be preforming this service myself next year. They need to be more open with there customers. I have had good luck when I have reached out to customer service. I do not think the techs know what is going on and how to tell customers what is wrong with their lawns and trees. They just go out and preform the monthly service and do not really care about why the lawn is dying. I will admit I am not sure if I will be continuing their service for 2023. read more

I paid $225 in August 2025 to get a gopher problem fixed. the local 801 number was not a local person, but OK. service was done August 12, I paid Aug 15. the tech who did the treatment said there would be a follow up visit in a few weeks to check to see that the gopher was gone. that never happened. in October I called the 801 number, spoke to Chris, who said he'd look into it. then nothing happened. In December, I got texted to give Senske money for a yearly subscription, which I don't want for a once every few years problem. I asked why the work I already paid for had not been done. text assured me that all work had been completed, despite my yard looking like a war zone and far worse then before I called Senske. Chris voicemail said that he was out of office until January. An alternate number got me to someone who insisted that all work had been completed, and that there was never a followup in the cards. short version: I paid Senske, they didn't solve the problem. they did not do the followup they said they'd do. it was wasted money. avoid. read more

I have used them for years - trying to keep my BIG huge Pines trees in the back yard alive and they killed 2 out of 3. The new manager that came in last year was not customer service trained. He thinks because he has years of yard experience that it makes his words better than mine. I told them for years how i was trying to keep them alive and i have his guys come out a few times to look and they wanted me to water more - and i did and they still died. No Customer Service to help make it better. When that person is gone then i do business with them again NOT UNTILL - he was very uncaring human being. I will not talk good about them till my bill is gone for the loss of my trees and the Thousands of dollars I'm going to have to spend cutting them down - they are HUG pine trees. I spoke with a sales representative who called me he was very pushy and assured me things would improve and promised that my issues would be addressed. Despite having a credit, they were supposed to spray in two weeks, which was two months ago, yet they never showed up. Instead, I received a bill for services that were never performed.. Senske services one of the homes in our neighborhood. This week their driver was barreling through the neighborhood going 50-60 miles per hour, curves and all. One of my neighbors confronted him once he stopped and gave him a good chewing out because we have children, bikers and elderly up and down the street. Did the driver apologize? Nope, he started videoing the neighbor?!? The neighbor called the Senske office and was told, "They would pass it on." Seriously, the next time Senske comes speeding through our neighborhood (probably next week since their driver clearly had no remorse), I think I'll "pass it on" to the police and 911. If you have kids, skateboarders, bikers, old slow people, young fast people, pets or anyone within 50 feet of your neighborhood road, I would NOT hire Senske because your neighbors (and you) are in danger. read more

I live in Texas, but this review is for the Senske in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where my elderly mother lives. My mother is elderly and has always prided herself on the beauty of her lawn. But two years ago, her sprinkler system stopped working. Senske diagnosed the problem, but it was never fixed. My mother's memory issues worsened, and she did not remember to water her lawn manually, so it died. Some of her bushes and shrubs also died. But Senske continued to come to her home and do all kinds of things, sometimes coming days in a row, racking up charges in the hundreds--no thousands over the year--of dollars on sprays, applications, weed control, "vegetation" control, and--get this--winterizing her [non-working] sprinkler system and spraying winterizer on her dead trees. I wish I had taken a photo of her yard when it was all dead, and yet Senske kept coming. Their "service" is fraudulent. As well, I have one of their workers on the Ring camera trying to sell my mother landscaping of a side yard that isn't even hers. When I called Senske to complain about an over- $500 invoice, they gave me a $100 credit and said they would connect me "immediately" with a landscaper who could address the sprinkler issue--something they don't do apparently, even though they say they do. I never heard from this landscaping person. But guess what, Senske is STILL going over to my mother's, racking up another almost-$300 over three days "winterizing" things in August. No doubt they'll soon want to blow out the sprinkler before the snow comes, even though it has not been working in two years, which they documented. That is called fraud. As well, the worker who spraying everything basically begs for five stars on every invoice, saying that five stars earns him money, and so it's like tipping for free. You know what will get you a tip? Going above and beyond for your customers, doing things like saying, "Hey, I noticed your lawn and shrubs and tree is dead. How can I help?" read more

They came out and quoted me $2800 to prune and give injections to get my trees well. They came out and pruned my trees and charged me $2800 and then told me it would be another $1200 to have the injections. They sent five guys for four hours and charged me $2800. If I could give zero stars I would, this company DOSE NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR HOME!!!!!! Customer beware, I DO NOT recommend SENSKE SERVICES for your lawn/tree or any care for that matter Their sales people (Sarah in this case) will talk you into circles, and then charge you above and beyond for the services you asked for. They will mention the cost of a SINGLE treatment without telling you it needs to be done multiple times, then when they charge you "in full" you'll be paying for 5x that and at the end of season they double up the service and do them at the same time, on what planet can you provide a lawn service (like fertilization) double up and expect the same results? This is only done so they can charge you for two treatments at once, then good luck ever getting scheduled or a complete service in general. If you aren't babysitting the people they send out, they will walk around, plop an advertisement on your lawn then leave with no services rendered. When you call to complain you will get a call center that has no ability to help you and don't get me started on asking for a receipt because even that will be delayed...then when you ask for a refund they will tell you it takes 10 days, won't provide any proof of the refund and you just have to sit and wait and hope it arrives. We supposedly were 7 out of the 10 days for a refund of services they over charged us for, and when we asked to cancel in full we are now told we will not be getting the first refund (hmmmmm probably because it was never processed) and have to wait an additional 10 days for a full refund, interesting if you process the first refund why would it be void for the second to be done?? I will update this review after we have received our refund with the time it took and if it was the correct amount. I cannot let them take advantage of any more people, only their sales people will tell you what you want to hear, they don't hire anyone competent to actually do the services...good luck ‍ hire a company that has better communication, work ethic and the skills needed for the services you are looking for. read more

You respond with kind words but you don't do anything. The fact is, as the photos show, you have not finished your work. You have missed treating tall weeds next to my patio and a large area of weeds on the east of the house. In most of the yard you have not created any kind of space between the edge of the lawns and the grass itself. This is a far cry from your "promise." We had them remove 1 50ft pine and another tall aspen. This used two yards besides ours. Worked in 100 degree weather all day. Cleaned every yard without any damage. Neighbors were very satisfied as I was. Would highly recommend them. I think they are mostly a lawn and plant caretakers. read more

I've been using Senske Service for literally years now and their service overall is very consistent. My yard/lawn look great and the timing of visits seems to address potential problems as the season for them approaches. They do have a problem with responding to customer concerns in a quick and reliable manner. Been a problem for years. Calls not returned, etc. No special visit to talk the customer and diagnose issues and treatment options to remedy the problem. That's done on your scheduled visit if you're lucky enough to be home when they arrive. Better customer service could elevate them to a five star. But they're three stars for now. read more

I have been a customer with Senske for 5 years. They have his Spring forced my back gate open and bent the lock and gait. There were tire tracks going into my back yard. I also called Senske today about an online mouse infestation which they refuse to address until the first week in August. I asked for a manager to call me today about this situation and received no response. I am terminating my service with them. It seems to me money not quality service is this company priority. Beware, stay away from this company. They wrote our contract but will not do the work they agreed to do. Their "Vegetation Management" agreement reads, "Spring Cleanup: Hard edge the lawn front/back. Rake up leaves/debris. . . ." The workers started a hard edge but it took them, too long so they literally stopped work. They came back two weeks later and told me supervisor had told them not to use a shovel in any case. Instead they were to use their edger. The workers, "didn't realize they had one in the truck." This was a joke. In most places there is no edge at all. Now the lawn simply merges into the borders with no separation. We wrote a Google Review to which the company responded with very kind but hollow words. I called customer service but was rebuffed by a supervisor. Senske "didn't do that kind of work." If they did they would only use their edger which was totally a wasted effort. Heck I'd accept amost anything to separate the lawn from the borders. I have not heard back from them so I cancelled the contract giving them proper notice. read more

I've tried numerous times to reach out to them and they called me and said a supervisor would get back to me here it is a week later and nothing, they don't hesitate to send you the bill. My grass was in perfect condition until one of the technicians came out and kept fertilizing my lawn when There was no water totally burned it to death! I spent numerous phone calls trying to determine a treatment plan for some troubled trees in my yard. It became apparent the guy that came to my house was not an arborist or anyone that really knew. After he "discussed" my trees with others a few times he finally said I just needed to start their regular maintenance program but had to get someone out in the next week to get it started. I agreed and signed up. It's been a month now and no one has come out and it turns out I'm not even scheduled yet. This is not a company you should do business with. I just got off the phone with my 91 year old mother who had a terrible experience with them. They came out a couple of weeks ago and wanted to set a time to fertilize her lawn. She told them NO because last year she was unhappy with the treatments they did and her lawn was filled with weeds and looked awful. Just yesterday the same person from Senske knocked on her door again and told my mom that her children had agreed to pay to have her lawn fertilized and wanted her ok to proceed. She again told him NO and then checked with the children. None of us knew anything about this. This man lied to my elderly mother to get her approval to fertilize the lawn. Shameful!! Sense took my concerns seriously, apologized and sent Tyler out to fix my sprinklers. After my review, Andy in management was in touch with me and everything was perfect from there on. Unfortunately, after Tyler came out, I realized that I had a zone that needed a solenoid replaced. Tyler thought that might be the case when he was here. It is now confirmed. I called and left a message for Andy and got a call back from Larry who left a message. I returned Larry's call and left another message. Two weeks later, no response. Senske only cares about your money When they came out over a year ago to put down spring fertilizer we showed them some dead spots in the lawn they have been treating. They said we had grubs and we agreed to have them treat it to the sum of $250. This spring, same dead spots and they had grown in size. When the tech came out to do the spring fertilizer, we brought it to his attention and he said we had a fungus. We asked him to have someone who knew what they were doing, contact us. Crickets. After a couple of weeks we cancelled service. Fast forward to September and received a call saying we were scheduled for the fall treatment, but noticed we had cancelled. We have her the story and she offered 50 percent off. We asked why we should throw more money down the rathole when nobody bothered to call earlier to find out why we cancelled. The girl we talked to said she was going to pass on the info to the district manager. Now two weeks later, crickets. Sent her a message and she called back saying she sent the info, but if the DM didn't call, there was nothing more that can be done. So, if you want to spend a bunch of money to have your lawn destroyed by a company that could care less, Senske is the one for you. If there was a way to give a negative rating, I would. read more

Terrible experience with this business. They came out twice with a follow-up (according to their version) over 4 months. The lawn continued to be brown and got worse. They did not kill the weeds, and in fact got worse. Of course when I called to get a refund as promised by the salesperson, the Senske rep blamed me for the problem and would not refund my money. Any business that blames the customer for the problem is not a place where you want to do business. NEVER pay these people (or anybody else) in advance. If you buy a product anywhere and it is defective, you get your money back. Not this place. I think Senske is not an ethical organization and will continue to rip off people just like I have been ripped off by them. Stay away from this business. They have not done what they promised and basically walked away with my money and said too bad for you. I would never do business with them again. They claimed they were doing our back lawn as well, but I am positive they never even went back there. They didn't call, didn't ring the door bell, didn't fix any thing. But I later found and surprised that they posted an invoice on my door without doing anything. They have a big call center as they operate in 3 states. I feel their control on its workers are badly functioning. Their management team and customers must be aware of its problem. I have Richard on my property to do my pest control and he does an extravagant job each time. I haven't seen a mouse or spider in my house since I tried Senske 3 years ago. I originally chose Senske because it was the best price and I really needed these annoying mice and spiders out of my house (I live behind a giant field). I stay with them because of the RESULTS! I have only needed them to come out 1 extra time besides the quarterly treatments since I still had a problem. They have an 100% guarantee so when I saw some ants I called Senske up and they came right out and treated again....for FREE! The treatments work, customer service is excellent, and they work around my schedule. I would recommend them for anyone sick of rodents and insects. read more

Terrible experience with Senske. I needed my sprinkler system repaired. They were quick to answer to schedule and obtain my credit card info. Also quick to come out and assure me it would all be repaired to perfection for $500.00 when they came out for a VERY short assessment. Then they show up unscheduled, fix only one leak (which is now still leaking) , and tell me they will text me when they will return to continue the repairs. They then billed my CC for the full $500.00 (they were here for 1 hour and fixed nothing). They have not recontacted me , and when i contact them I'm just just told I'm sorry and nothing else!
