I confirmed with the receptionist twice that Dr. Cao does do Botox because not all neurologists are trained to do this. When I finally came in for my appointment, Dr. Cao was not friendly and barely said a word to me during the appointment. After a few minutes, she informed me that she does not do Botox injections and tried to push every medication under the sun. I explained that I have taken many migraines medications over the years, which I listed on my intake form, and many of those medications left me with lasting negative side effects that still impact my memory and mobility. She didn't seem to care and recommended meds I had already listed as trying on my intake form. She eventually said she would recommend me to another doctor who does do Botox. She seemed disappointed that she couldn't talk me into a new drug. Their office charged me the full amount for an appointment even though I was only there for about ten minutes and received no help. They didn't seem to care that they intentionally lied to me over the phone either. To top it off, they didn't even refer me to a real doctor. They referred me to some bogus pain specialist, who when I called were trying to offer teeth whitening and diet procedures. What?? I have never experienced anything so unprofessional or deceitful. This office is a scam, and I recommend avoiding at all costs.

Located behind the Chesapeake Medical Regional Center Hospital. Signage is excellent for the building. They have a surface lot that seems adequate. Be mindful of physician parking, there are signs. The lot was tidy. In the front they have a covered pull through for drop off. Appointments were handled in a timely fashion. Specialist are well known for taking months, maybe I was lucky in securing a date in two weeks. They utilize electronic reminders on email and text. The lobby walk in clean as I entered. However, it is noticeably dated. The elevator operated and I took it to the second floor. The doctors waiting room had adequate seating and was tidy. Check-in efficient and wait short to first see nurse than Dr. Snider. Great exam and the doctors bed side manner fantastic! Both visits were consistently great on efficiency. I would recommend this office.

I get Botox injections for my migraines which helps with getting less migraines monthly and the intensity. It doesn't take them away completely but it does save on trips to to E.R or urgent care for a toroidal shot. Which they offer in house as well. They do screenings, referrals for M.R I. scans and X-rays, migraine prevention, M.S care, ADHD, and lots more here that's nerve related. They handled the prior authorization which I appreciate because insurance companies don't like paying for a drug that's pretty expensive. But they made it very easy for me. Nurse Laura Jackson is a very kind practitioner. She listens to my needs and is very professional. By the time I get to say ouch and get in my feelings we're done!!! They're also good at scheduling your appointments out for the next 6 months or more so you can get an appointment date because they fill up quickly. I could tell Dr. Barr had her loving hands involved in decorating. Treats and reading material are on the table. The environment was relaxed and calm. The check-in process was immediate with no effort because they knew me and had my name down before I could utter a word. With the change all my paperwork had to be completed again which was the only thing not pleasant. Mailing out the forms in advance could be an option. The wait time to be called back for my appointment with NP Morgan was less than 10 minutes. It was the first time meeting her as she is newer to the practice after the Winter 2018 move. Not surprising that she was hand picked by Dr. Barr and had an incredible bed side manner. We hit it off immediately. I have been a patient of Dr. Barr for almost 10 years and would absolutely recommend her and feel blessed if your insurance accepts. The person at the window seemed very short. I also saw the nurse who comes to call your name roll her eyes quite a few times as she was coming out. The waiting room is so small that at one point there were more patients than chairs. I don't really understand why the check in took so long when all the health information was already on file.
