Yelp Review 2026 #123:…read more Jungfraujoch is a must-visit if you're in Interlaken...or Zurich even! My first trip to Zurich was in February several years ago, I took a bus to Interlaken and 2 trains (Grindelwald, and Jungfraujoch) - it's not complicated. It's an easy day trip from Zurich, and a half a day trip if you're already in Interlaken. From Interlaken Ost, it's a train ride to Grindelwald, a gondola ride to Eigergletscher via Eiger Express then a train ride to Jungfraujoch. Traveling in the spring can be unpredictable. Sometimes it's raining all day, it could snow, it could be extremely foggy. Your hotel in Interlaken has a channel where you can watch the live cam of Jungfraujoch so you can see if it's worth going or not. It's almost always foggy early in the morning during spring but it clears out by around 10am...sometimes, it doesn't. Once you get off the Jungfraujoch station, you can read information about the place. How the place keeps getting warmer due to climate change. The Research Station Jungfraujoch is the highest in Europe and in the world. Elevation is over 11,000 feet above sea level. There are movies/ shows that were filmed here. So, it gets pretty crowded. You have to go to the Sphinx Observatory where you can see the Alps and Aletsch Glacier from outside. On a clear day, you can see Germany and France. You can walk in the snow. There's a cafe, a Lindt store and a gift shop. You'll see some cute ice sculptures.

We got lucky we booked it on a day that it was not foggy/cloudy. Bucket list, checked! What a memorable experience. Amazing views on our way to Jungfraujoch. Tour is little pricey and crowded BUT totally worth it! Enjoyed every moment touring inside Ice Palace while collecting amazing memories at Spinx Observation Tower and Plateau. Just to be aware of the altitude sickness Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Drink plenty of water.

Located above the…read morebeautiful town of Interlaken, this panoramic viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, lakes, and the iconic Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. The journey to the top is an adventure in itself taking a funicular ride from Interlaken up to the summit ( there happens to be a pretty steep hike as well that can take you up there) was smooth, comfortable, and gave us our first taste of the stunning alpine scenery. Once at the top, we were greeted with a 360-degree vista that truly took our breath away. The observation platform is perfect for photos, and we spent quite a while just soaking in the views. We also had a chance to explore the area a little more, with well-maintained paths leading to even more scenic spots around the summit. One of the highlights was the viewing platform's ( also referred to as the two lakes bridge as you get to see the Thun and Brienz lakes) glass floor.Stepping out onto it felt like flying over the town of Interlaken, and it was a thrilling experience. For those who are a bit more adventurous, there also are a couple of hikes around ( one's simple the other being a challenging strenuous hike) where you can feel completely surrounded by nature and mountains. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the warm atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a relaxing day out or an adventure in the mountains, Harder Kulm delivers both in spades. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area and it's definitely worth the visit!

Yelp Review 2026 #125:…read more Harder Kulm was only a 5-minute walk from our hotel. The front desk told us it's a nice place to visit and gave us a discount coupon for 15% off tickets. We got a 50% discount for tickets because of the Swiss Travel Pass so we used that instead. Be sure to get roundtrip tickets so you don't have to stand in line again to buy a ticket to go back down. It had been raining on and off the days we were in Interlaken. There's thick fog the afternoon we went. Normally, it's foggy in the morning and clears up in the afternoon. We went to the station to take the funicular to the top of the hill. It was a short 10-minute ride. It was raining and foggy but we stayed until it cleared up a bit. There's a restaurant, a viewing deck, a little park, some wooden sculptures. You can see both Thunersee and Brienzersee. I had already been to both in the morning so, I wasn't pressed about not having a clear view of the two lakes when I went to Harder Kulm.
