If not at their posts behind the counter you can find them keeping the area spotless. The only fault I can find is that head office is slow to help them take care of their clients. To get a repair done takes head office months to say OK. Very polite and I am sure he will politely respond here as he did privately. The 1/2 drive charge before and after is a cost that is being added after the fact not in original discussions. (Happened both for packing and move) After my correspondence with him on the extra hours he turned the blame on me that the packing was not done right (unorganized) and the van was parked a bit further away from entry for download. As per packing, his own team were involved in packing majority of our stuff. They spent 5 hours the week before. Furthermore the big portion of our stuff was already stored in their pod since July. Yes They were still many boxes left in our house but very little furniture to move: - piano, dining table, 3 disassembled beds, 1 sofa, 1 coffee table, 2 bed side tables, 2 book shelves, one drawer, 3 chairs , one bbq , one lawn mower and one tv So I still don't get why it cost us this much time and money. Yes we were in unfortunate state that the spot in front was taken. That for sure slowed things down, but not 4-5 hours extra. Yes I made the stupid move to watch my kids around 6 pm instead of watching them for entire time so I let them do the download on their own. Did the download actually took from 3 to 8 pm no breaks?! I would like to believe they were truthful. I tried to resolve this with Kevin privately. . We ageeed that the guys worked hard and took only their claimed 30 min break! I raised the issue of lack of management and proper estimates and that needs to be fixed and for that I need to be compensated. He offered me future discount for a future move !!!! (Which basically is a very pretend polite way of dismissing me) I moved with this company 20'years ago. I was happy enough. That's why I went to them this time. But I will never recommend them again as it will turn to be very costly.

The facility is quite good - very clean, well lit and maintained. They make it super easy to access. I've never had any critters in my stuff! Make sure you bring loonies if you need to use a cart, especially if you are here after hours. During office hours they can also sell you various things that you might need. Onetime, my key literally fell apart inside my lock, so they cut the lock off and sold me a replacement at a good price, saving me the hassle of going to the store.

I started at $151 a month, 6 months later they raised it to $168 (reasonable) and 6 months after that they want to charge $308 a month! When I reached out for a more reasonable solution, the response was "Unfortunately, we have not been given any permission to make any amendments." This is an unexpected way to take advantage of customers. Landlords are not allowed to double the rent on tenants, and providing only one month notice of this astronomical increase for storage doesn't even allow me time to cancel my agreement with and move out before this huge jump in costs, as I'm currently out of the country. This is unethical and unreasonable, and then I found out that Mini Mall is traded as a mutual fund, so I'm sure investors will be very happy. Customers on the other hand, are not happy at all.

So I had to break down and buy boxes along with other packing supplies. I found Allworld through their great Google reviews. They sell commercial packaging supplies but they're open to the public. I was greeted immediately when I walked into the small "store" area. I explained what I needed, and it turns out they have moving packages based on the number of rooms you have. The one bedroom package has 10 small boxes, 16 medium ones, 6 large ones, a wardrobe box, 2 rolls of packing tape, packing paper and a marker. I was driving a Zipcar Prius so one of the staff checked to make sure everything would fit before they made the sale. Both guys were friendly and super helpful. Hopefully I won't have to do another move for a long time, but I will definitely return if I ever need any packaging supplies. Go check them out!
