I've never dealt with a storage facility before so this was a totally new experience to me. I had…read moreto drop something off for someone else. I was told to just drop off the item at the front desk but apparently that wasn't the case. I was given the key to the storage locker which was way on the other side of the building. Actually, I approached this building from 99th Street going South and pulled into the parking lot as soon as I saw the sign. Apparently that was the opposite side of the building that I was supposed to be at. The building is NOT exclusively Sentinel Self-Storage, there are business offices or something that I saw when I entered the first door. Then saw a sign that said something about going "next door" for the self-storage. The next door I saw was locked, so I continued around the building until finally I saw a loading dock, then the main office entrance. This is a very confusing place to figure out if you haven't been before. When they give you the key, they show you on a map where it is. It reminded me of going to a cemetery and being shown the plot map. Inside the storage locker on the back wall, I caught a glimpse of the most hideous spider I'd ever seen! EEEWW! There's a reason I don't keep stuff in storage.

We had our RV stored at the Edmonton Argyl facility for approximately 1 week. There was a tire boy…read moretruck parked on the right side of our trailer. He hit our trailer but sentinel cannot provide video footage . We did provide pictures and the police report We were told its only circumstantial evidence. Now our insurance is holding us liable because he's denying that he was driving. Johnson insurance is increasing our rates 10% and we are liable for the deductible. WARNING. Don't store your RV at these compounds because no one wants to take responsibility. They don't have adequate video surveillance. Only have it at the entrance and exit I was told by the manager. Once someone's inside there's no video surveillance on the i RV grounds. We have to pay for this This is so unfair.

So this storage unit was rented by my mother. Due to scheduling conflicts between her hip operation…read moreand her move into the city, she designated me as her liaison to empty her unit with Sentinel for immediate transfer into the city. Alas, the new unit came under complications. It's the middle of January, my mother's lease with sentinel is expiring, the lock she had installed was frozen, and I have nowhere to move her stuff into. Enter Martin and Cyril, my literal heroes. The two of them graciously handled the professional removal of the lock my mother installed (not before doing their due diligence and ensuring my mother had properly given me authorization), they allowed me breathing room and time to organize a storage alternative even though it meant a personal loss of business for themselves, and even then allowed me to retain the unit for an unusual amount of extra time at a reasonable rate. Truly I cannot recommend this location of Sentinel Storage enough. The team will make you feel valued, seen, heard, and understood and they will do their damned best to follow through and support you theough the trials and tribulations of this existence. Their reliability, kindness, and professionalism are the backbone of this recommendation. If you can't work with people you can trust and depend on, then where is the joy in work to be found? When I got there they told me they would have to charge me for another month. I asked them why they didn't tell me on the phone that I was going to have to pay for a full month for a couple days the manager came out of the office screaming at me the rules of the contract. I told her I didn't appreciate her yelling at me and the girl at the front counter was doing a good enough job explaining the rules to me. I paid for another month so I could get my stuff out and left never to return.
