I work out very early in the morning and Leo is always taking very good care of the place leaving everything smelling nice and well maintained. Soon they will have new cardio equipment. The only down side is no more televisions for individual machines. You have bring your own or watch what they have. The owner and gym staff were welcoming and helpful making me feel at home in no time. I have limited use of my left arm so I wanted to use weight machines that would strengthen my arm and increase my arm mobility. The owner Cody was quick to show me some great weight machines to build my arm strength. It was great and exactly what I was aiming for. The gym is clean and the equipment is well maintained. Its not the biggest gym in Aiken but it has all the exercise and weight machines that one could. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone and everyone who has fitness goals. Big or small this gym is a place to meet your goals and the welcoming staff will help you get there.

When I attempted to cancel, I was unable to do so because I couldn't log in to my member portal. I contacted the gym many times to try to go through the proper procedure and, after many weeks, finally figured out why I couldn't: they had mis-spelled my name (hence why the log-in didn't work). In spite of trying to cancel for many weeks, they tried to charge me two months of additional fees and an annual fee (literally less than a month after I joined). The manager was incredibly condescending, refused to help straighten it out, and caused me hours of endless time wasting and strife when the entire reason for joining was to clear my head while caring for my sick mother. The worst part? When I cancelled the card they were charging to avoid further payments, they somehow managed to charge my debit card, which I can only guess they had on file from the year before when I was in town to care for my mother. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau since all efforts to resolve the matter with the quite rude manager failed.

I have been attending Water Aerobics classes, Cardio Barre, Gentle Stretch Yoga, Flow and Deep Stretch Yoga, RIP and Restorative Yoga for over three years at this center. So I think I am qualified to mention a few things from my experience. Village Fitness is very fortunate to have a dedicated group of fully trained and certified instructors. I have to mention a few ladies by name - Katie, Patty, Frere, Dolorita and Sydnee and give them the credit and kudos they all deserve. They all conduct fun, beneficial and worthwhile classes. I also have to give high praise to MaryBeth, the Front Desk Manager. She is the type of employee every business needs at their front office to greet and know all the members by name and the classes they attend. Mary Beth keeps everything at the Fitness Center running smoothly, keeps everyone in fresh clean towels, keeps the ladies changing room stocked and spotless and handles complaints and problems with a big smile that we all see each time we check in. I got stuck in traffic on Pine Log and happened to see a sign for the shop. I'm so happy I decided to make an appointment. Angela took great care of my feet with the Just Breathe pedicure! She started off with an oatmeal milk bath bomb that she makes herself, then a calming soak, nail management, sugar foot scrub, essential oil massage, hot towel, then painting. She hit all of the right pressure points during the foot massage! She had hot tea and lemon water available as well. The ambiance was great...from the calming spa music, the decor, the essential oil humidifier to the super comfy recliner. It is great to have an all natural nail salon closet to home, I will definitely return!
