    Beef chili ramen

We perused the East Side Gallery from one end to the other in the middle of winter. Admiring the beautiful art while our fingers and feat numbed to a slow motion pace. As if at the mercy of God, right after the end of the Eastside gallery, we stumbled upon Seoul Kitchen. Once inside, our bodies and minds were warmed by the ambiance and food. We got in at 5:45pm and although the table was reserved starting at 7pm, they graciously accommodated us. I ordered the beef chili ramen. It was a noodle soup with a delicious broth that was clutch in un-numbing my entire body. Each sip took me to the front of a crackling, warming fireplace. For 10 euros, the quantity was HUGE and immensely satisfying.

This place has good Korean Bibimbap. I live in LA and the only thing that could make it better was to have the beef warm in the pot. The clay pot was awesome and the spiciness of the flavors warmed me from the inside. This place is popular, so have a reservation or be patient and wait. It's well worth it.

Seoulkitchen is insanely delicious! I had the salmon and tuna maki, both of which were standard size and tasted fresh! I definitely recommend ordering sushi here if you are a fan. I also had the beef bibimbap. It came out fresh and hot! It stayed hot throughout the whole meal and all the ingredients provided amazing flavor. The veggies and meat tasted and felt fresh. The two sauces that came with the bibimbap added an extra kick of tastiness to the meal. I highly recommend ordering the beef bibimbap. Not only is it yummy, but the potion is large enough to stuff you! I have been told that I eat like a horse and even I had to take a good chunk in a to-go box. The atmosphere is very pleasant as the dim lighting gives off an intimate and comfortable setting. Additionally, the brick walls and metallic chairs provide a cool industrial flair. The place gets packed quick. I came an hour after opening and every seat was taken. Luckily, I only had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. After ordering, the dishes came out just as quick as you would expect fast food to be retrieved; yet, as mentioned above, the flavor is superb and will not disappoint. The staff here are respectful and very helpful. Great people and excellent food.

This place has been around for idk how long and every time I walked by, I promised myself to go inside one day. Today was said day. It's boiling hot in there, the dark wooden yet urban chic interior makes it seem like a sauna. "Seoul Kitchen" operates with an open kitchen, if only they made the 'dirty dish wagon' disappear. The menu offers a variety of authentic Korean dishes as well as sushi and ramen. From what I've seen, the price range is reasonable and easily affordable for anyone who wants to splurge on authentic Asian cuisine on a student budget or any food porn addict with a hungry Instagram crowd to feed. Beverage-wise, "Seoul Kitchen" offers soda classics, beer, wine and three shakes, one of them being the refreshing and original apple mint soda - if only it came either chilled or with ice cubes. We opted for the Korean BBQ with beef - definitely not on the cheap side with 17,50€ per person. It was served with five Korean appetizers (pickled radish, kimchi, etc.), four kinds of veggies, glass noodles, two sauces and a huge plate of top-notch quality beef. Actually, it was quite too much for the two of us. I'll definitely come back to try the ramen burger and beef bulgogi. Wish they offered desserts, though.

The people there are really friendly and they make outstanding good Sushi. The BBQ is amazing and the place itself is quite cozy and has a nice flair. They forgot our order at first, but quickly caught up. To be recommended- bars all over the place for a nice little drink after this asian fusion experience.

Delicious meals for normal price, huge portions, kindly English-speaking waiters. Everything was just great, thanks.

Great Korean food in Berlin! Was surprised to find this place. After traveling Europe for 2 months I was looking to get some good Asian food in me. This place was packed on a Wednesday night (definitely make a reservation). Since I'm traveling solo I didn't have to wait too long to get a spot, waited maybe 10-15 minutes. They offer typical Korean bbq meats to grill at your table. Not the standard Korean setup with banchan but I did see people get sides of kimchi and sauces. Since you need 2 people minimum for grilling I wasn't able to try it out so opted for the vegetarian steamed dumplings (appetizer) and beef bibimbap instead. The dumplings were ok. Cooked well and had nice flavor but nothing too memorable. The bibimbap however was really good (and I've had my fair share of bibimbaps - in Korea as well as the states). The rice was crispy from the stone pot and the toppings were well balanced. Very enjoyable. I would assume other dishes on the menu are just as tasty!

Delicious food, friendly staff. Dumplings were absolutely perfect and edamame were lightly drizzled with a soy sauce semi hot salsa that made it very interesting. Good, thick and fresh salmon slices in our sushi variation. The house specialty (I.e Korean bbq) was both times absolutely divine. We had the beef both times and with the help from the more than willing to help staff of the restaurant we had great success with it. Only (slight) negative comment I have to make is the lack of a credit/debit card reader which leaves cash as the only possible means of paying.

Should you be looking for a restaurant offering great Korean food and sushi in stylish surroundings at really affordable prices, the newly opened Seoulkitchen on Berlin's Warschauer Str might just be what you're looking for. The Seoulkitchen used to be called "Wasabi" and used to be right around the corner (on Rykestr) from where I live. Name and location have recently changed - and so has the interior: They used to have a rather slick pink-and-white design (think "Hello Kitty for grown-ups"), now the place offers a really great look with "rough" brick walls illuminated with stylish lighting, a few wooden tables with some benches and comfortable seats. The place is a bit bigger than the proverbial "hole in the wall", yet not much bigger - so on busy nights, all the roughly 25 seats may be taken. (They do take reservations.) What hasn't changed at all is their great food - and their friendly service. The menu offers a mix of traditional Korean standards with newly created dishes influenced by the Korean cuisine, together with sushi and some Japanese dishes. And they manage to prepare this mix at high standards at really affordable prices. We sampled some sushi as starters - it arrived on a (huge) black stone plate, nicely garnished, and it tasted just great. As main dishes, we had Korean Bi Bim Bab (both vegetarian and with beef), a signature dish of the place, served in a hot (really hot!) bowl, Bulgogi beef (marinated meat served with rice) and an Udon soup with chicken. All the dishes were perfectly done, and we just loved their taste. Yes, the restaurant's neighbourhood may be a bit weird, however, it is just a very short walk away from public transport's various Warschauer Str stops, so do try it out the next time you lust for some great Korean or Japanese food. And did I mention they are very affordable?

I'm giving this place the full stars. Perhaps all German Koreans are this great? -- I'm only familiar with the ones in NYC , and in comparison this place is stellar. First of all the atmosphere works well: on the dark side but with big windows facing the busy sidewalk on Warschauerstrasse it lets you withdraw and watch the show. Music is soft, upbeat loungey w hints of new age. I got there early 12:30 pm and the place was relatively empty. Service was good and friendly and attentive with that sweet Asian type friendliness where you almost expect them to bow with their smiles. I had the Chicken Udon Soup w Wheat Noodles. Served w a little Kimchi based salad it was warming and loving. Had it w a mint tea -- fresh mint leaves. I guess I'm a sucker for these types of simple and pure, good spots that hold the balance between sophisticated and down-to-earth, cozy but not cramped, with soothing lighting and music. Where you feel pampered. Plus I do love Korean.

Secret Garden offers an exceptional experience since the moment you walk in. The environment is quite unique, the decorations make you feel in a new place, and the environment is perfect for a date, a meal, and a chat with friends. And even though non of the dishes by themselves were outstanding, the combination of dishes made for a great experience. We tried the tofu sticks, dumplings, onigiris and several sushi rolls; I especially liked the non-"roll" dishes. All in all, if you are looking for a unique experience in Berlin, Secret Garden is a great alternative. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed.

But a friend suggested meeting up here, just a few doors down, so that's how I ended up having Reisschale for lunch today. The inside is long and narrow but pretty non-descript. Since it was a sunnier fall afternoon, we opted to sit outside, as the tables had plenty of free places. Most of the menu items are standard but also a bit pricier than I expected (they were between 5 and 7 for dishes at lunchtime). Luckily, the vegetables and tofu in peanut sauce was the daily special, so I got that for €4,90. It was good, but not the best I've ever had. I also ordered a fresh lime juice soda, which was really good but also very sweet (not a bad thing in my book, though it's a dealbreaker for others). The people working were nice and efficient, so overall not a bad experience. I still prefer Hamy, but if that place is too packed (which it often is), Reisschale isn't a bad alternative.

It could serve authentic enough food, but it doesn't. The food wasn't bad, mind you, it just ended up being your generic germanized thai imbiss. We ordered two different curries and couldn't tell them really apart, besides than one had mushrooms. I still give it 4 stars, because I still enjoyed it and the service was friendly, though I secretly know that as soon as this place shop for the night, these people make the best possible thai food and eat it all themselves. Why not serve it to the public? Surely, germans are ready for it?!
