I jumped on it early in December and snagged us appointments for January 3rd. Turns out, it was worth the wait! My massage therapist, Janine, was wonderful and my mom only spoke positively about her massage therapist, Hannah. I always know a massage is good when I fall asleep... and sure enough, I drifted off for a little spa nap. Mission accomplished! I also loved the quiet room and the showers afterward, which really extended the whole relaxation experience. While I've been to spas across the country with much more extravagant amenities, Woodhouse is a fantastic option for Buffalo. I felt it was very clean, calm, and exactly what you want from a quality day spa. My mom and I both left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and very happy we finally made it happen! I would strongly caution anyone considering this surgeon…read more I underwent arm and breast surgery and am now facing thousands of dollars in revision procedures due to poor surgical decision-making and inadequate postoperative care. Before surgery, I specifically asked whether I needed an extended arm lift. I was told that I did not. I later learned that this surgeon does not perform extended arm lifts. In my case, I clearly did need one, and I am now left with significant residual laxity, asymmetry, visible bunching, and a roped scar under my arm. I will need a revision to correct what should have been addressed the first time. My breast outcome is also unacceptable. One breast sits noticeably higher than the other. My nipples and areolas are distorted, with one misshapen and affected by pigmentation damage. More seriously, one breast developed severe discoloration after surgery, turning very dark, and there was no timely or appropriate intervention. I am now being told I need revision surgery and medical tattooing to attempt to correct the damage. When I returned with concerns, the surgeon spent approximately one minute in the room, did not perform a proper evaluation, and did not answer my questions. My concerns were dismissed or deflected to staff. There was no accountability and no effort to address what had clearly gone wrong. Obtaining my medical records was also extremely problematic. It took several months to receive them. When I finally did, they included duplicates, omitted key information about my postoperative complications, and contained inaccurate information, including incorrect details about my background. The records do not accurately reflect my postoperative experience. I am now dealing with the physical, emotional, and financial consequences of this care. Patients deserve accurate surgical guidance based on their actual needs, appropriate postoperative monitoring, especially in the face of complications, and complete, accurate medical documentation. That did not happen here.

The place is located on the bottom floor of a commercial space. There are three massage rooms available, two which look to just house one bed each and then one which was able to accommodate two beds for a couple's massage. The whole place was appointed very tastefully, with little touches to enhance relaxation. We filled out a form asking about any particular problems or areas of focus, and we were able to talk about our goals for the experience with the therapists before they started. After we were undressed and on the table, the therapists turned down the lights and there was some calming music played. Our massages were extremely professional and relaxing. I know that I prefer a lighter massage, and Katie was great at making sure that I wasn't experiencing any pain but was still getting the circulation and muscle manipulation benefits. My fiance prefers a deeper massage, and his therapist was able to get some knots out of his neck that have been tense for awhile. The therapists definitely took their time, and we felt like we got our full 60 minutes worth. We left feeling very pampered, and will definitely return in the future!

Now, the procedure itself is not a pleasant one but Dr. Knavel made it bearable and worked quickly and carefully to complete it. It certainly wasn't my favorite part of my day but she did a superb job and was very gentle. I hope to never need this procedure again, but if I do: I'd go back to see Dr. Knavel. I did read the reviews here on Yelp - you should probably disregard *all* reviews prior to 2022. When I was in the office, I learned that this location (353 Kenmore Ave, in Tonawanda) used to belong to *another* dermatologist and that DeLuke Dermatology acquired the space a few years ago when that dermatologist retired, and even expanded the space. It is my understanding that this location has a completely new staff from the staff that was here prior to 2022. Which makes sense because everyone I spoke with or was helped by was very pleasant. Oh, and: they have their own parking lot, with plenty of spaces.

A cleanser, then a serum, then a toner- which removed the serum? All over the place, without much rationale. I've had facials all over the country- without much of a miss. This.was.the.worst. Then comes the brows, after the concerning and confusing facial. My brows were tinted and then waxed. The tint left me looking like Ms. Trunchbull. No way I was going out in public with those on my face. Upon closer inspection my brows were haphazardly waxed- which I couldn't tell with the mass of tint still on my skin. Arrived home, attempted all the tricks to remove the tint, with little success. I'll be headed to another salon next week to correct the $40 attempt at brow shaping. Avoid, or at the very least, see Janine- which per the other reviews, is great...
