I visited this location for the first time on 3/4/24 and had a wonderful experience. I went towards the end of the day and they were getting ready to close, but they were still VERY busy. Kiki is a manager there and went above and beyond for me. She helped me for about 20-30 minutes finding the perfect makeup for me, and answered any questions I had. She helped to color match me perfectly, and helped me to get skincare that was the right fight for my skin (acne prone etc.) Kiki was the sweetest and most professional employee I have interacted with in such a long time. I spent about $200 here and I would do it again! My experience was so pleasurable, that I would recommend this Sephora to anyone in the Elk Grove area! The staff here works very hard, and the store was very clean and organized. Shoutout to Kiki, her amazing customer service skills and being such a sweet soul! LOVE how brand new everything is ! The Ridge is a nice location for a new Sephora as it makes it very convenient for people who always have to travel to Arden and don't always want to make the drive. My favorite thing about this store is the lighting! The natural light filters in very nicely and allows you to see the true color of the foundation. It's a stand alone store and not inside a jcp or kohls which is nice since they use a different system than normal Sephora stores. This also means it's not in a mall so it's faster to get to if you're into just running in and out. Everything is super clean since it is still a new location and it's pretty big. It's not a convenient location for me but I'd love to revisit sometime read more

Horrible customer service! I waited in line for over 12 minutes, with only 2 customers ahead of me. There were probably 8 behind me. One cashier, 2 other employees on the floor. One employee, presumably manager, came over to the back of the line and advised customers that if they were using a card she could ring them up at the door. She did not approach any of the customers who had been waiting longer than anyone else. I will never return to the store again. I'm all about ULTA! read more

Maybe it's just me that has noticed this but a lot of Sephora stores have been getting a bad wrap lately due to the lack of quality customer service. I know that everyone has different experiences but for this specific location, the customer service has been amazing. I had no idea that they had a location in The Ridge so I happened to stop by one day to shop around. That first experience was fine but I knew what I wanted and didn't need any assistance. The 2nd time, I had my makeup done for an event by one of their artists. I cannot remember her name but I LOVED her. She was super friendly, so sweet, had solid knowledge and recommendations on products, and my makeup was flawless. The most recent two times that my daughter and I have gone in, we were greeted within a minute or so of entering the store to see if we had any questions or needed any help. Normally I know what I'm looking for and what I want but this last time, I needed a color match and some advice on a few products. The girl that helped me definitely knew what she was talking about and I loved the products that I purchased. Checking out is never an issue. The ladies up front are always super sweet and quick. So even if you've had bad experiences with a Sephora location in the past, I'd definitely recommend checking out this location in The Ridge. You won't be sorry! read more

I came here to get my makeup done for an important event. The girl that helped me was super sweet, but my makeup was awful. Like so awful that I started crying on the way home. She did a winged eye on only one eye, and the face makeup was super caked on. Even my husband was taken back by how bad the makeup was when I got home. I actually had to go home and take off the face makeup because it was too much, and fix my eye liner myself. It was pricey for what I got. Always love coming to this location. Staff are consistently friendly and very helpful. There was a mixup with an order I placed for delivery, and Kiki and the cashier (didn't get her name) were incredibly apologetic and fixed the issue right away, even throwing in some samples as well. Sephora has a terrible return policy in these Covid days. I bought foundation there that did not work properly. I could not exchange it or return it because I just missed the thirty days. Walked in to pick up a few items and shop around. I was looking at a section and took one step back to look in the mirrors they have and in comes an employee who completely blocks the stand from me and has their back to me and helping another customer. I had two sample products in my hand and the employee rudely turned to ask me "are you going to put those back" As if anyone would want to take the sample products?? Customer service here is non existant. I use curbside pickup because I am an at risk person. The only way to get them to bring your items to car is to call multiple times. Store management complained that they are short staffed due to covid. Weird, because no employee in the store was taking covid precautions. You can't have it both ways. I will still order online for shipping, but I will not go to this store for anything. I would rather go to Ulta, who has curbside pickup on lock. Don't blame covid for worker shortages, if you are acting like the pandemic is over. read more

I say maybe because when this location first opened, I was excited because I had a Sephora closer to us. First time I went in seemed pretty good as I was greeted and provided some assistance. I go in this evening, to not be greeted but put myself out there for one of the staff to see me and it took her some time to come and asked me if I needed assistance. Initially she provided assistance but then she said that she would be back. As I understood, she had to cashier and then forward someone to me who did not ask me until I looked at her if I needed assistance. This staff then asked & I needed help & I said go ahead and finish with your other customer and then this staff never came back to assist me. I started in the perfume area for a while, as I wait. Then I just went in line put things aside and only got one of the list of items that I wanted to get. I would suggest more training and please finish with a customer before you move on to the next. You're in this business to help with makeup & I would assume some advice/feedback. Just don't walk away and not return. Loss business that way. read more
