Then, one item rang up differently than the price tag on the shelf, and I caught it to ask about it before paying. She barked at me twice to hit "No" on the credit card reader before the option even appeared. Using a smartphone, she insisted that is what was in the system and shoved the phone in my face. Told me the item must have been in the wrong place. I told her it was with all the others if someone just looked at the shelf. She continued to argue and insist she was right. Flabbergasted, I asked just to take it off the order if that was easier, and kindly advised them to recheck their signage later. Total chip on the shoulder, wouldn't take off the item off my order. She continued to argue that this is the price with the most hostile glare at me. I finally told her to forget it and left with my heart pounding in distress. I don't even care about the $4 difference, it was the attitude. How can they hire people like this? Ulta is a completely nonessential business and I am happy to never deal with any of their rude staff ever again. I went home and ordered what I wanted off Amazon. The lady I spoke to on the phone assured me they did and simply had great customer service over the phone. Her positive and upbeat attitude really drew me in. Once I'd stepped foot inside I was immediately greeted and when I made my way to the section of products I was interested in a sales associate by the name of Emily told me many key points about the line, made suggestions on several products from the line as well as another line I had never heard of. She treated me as though I was the only customer in the store and other various associates would pass by and agree with her recommendations. I really felt important and that I was well on my way with the correct products.
