Even the tea is more here than anywhere else. I often buy organic and local food while travelling, so I wanted to drop in for some nuts, nut butter, chocolate, and lo and behold, freshly squeezed green juice! Yes! Sadly, there was never anyone at the juice bar, even after waiting multiple times on different occasions. Almond butter was almost €1 more than another bio store on the other side of Parc Cinquetaire. Chocolate was also priced higher, as was pretty much everything I came across where I'm aware of the local pricing. Expats, the staff speak English and French. I was a bit annoyed that even though I speak French fluently (I went to school in French), and spoke French to the staff, I was replied to in English because of my bank card (which puts the language your card is in up on the debit machine screen - standard in Belgium). I'll return just because it's convenient, but I'll likely buy most of my food from the Sunday market instead, right in front of this store. Hummm those who are into macrobiotic, vegan or just willing to have a healthier diet should make a stop. There is one negative point though, the place is really small/tiny, not very easy to move. Apart from it the staff is really friendly and will help you find what you are looking for.

If you are from the US, think Whole Foods, but way more upmarket - almost maybe a better comparison would be Dean & DeLuca, cause similar to them, a lot of the food and drink here is curated as well. Case in point, the guys at the grocery store knew so much about produce I had never even seen before - a yellow dragonfruit! Crickets - chocolate covered and plain and in a dip! Chinese rhubarb! Citron Caviar!! BTW, that last one was a product of USA and I didn't even know that the US was a producer of this food item, let alone what the thing was! I was really super lucky that another Yelper, Hubert E. was accompanying us on our voyage of discovery around Rob's as he knew where the best stuff was kept, and since he is a local, was really helpful in explaining some food items that mum and I could not figure out what they were. Best of all, we ended up going on a day that a whole number of producers were showcasing their goods and so I tasted beautiful salmon (I don't know how I can ever buy Salmon from anywhere else again) to 4 different kinds of bee pollen, exquisite black truffle biscuits and amazing wine from the south of France. Yeah, totally can't wait to go back - next on my list, beside shopping of course, is to go eat at their restaurant upstairs!
