absolutely phenomenal work, and CRAZY FAST. took out 8 trees, many shrubs (old growth, over 20 years, practically dwarf trees), all the various 'volunteer' growth, ground out the stumps, graded, leveled, and rolled the ground, tilled in mulch and prepped for sod, and sodded about half the front yard up to the house. ALSO trimmed a tree in the back yard, AND rebuilt a decorative brick structure on the side of the house that had been knocked over by an overzealous tree trunk. and, get this... did it all in two days. TWO DAYS! stop for a minute and say that with me again: two. days. as someone who has had contractors in and out of the house pretty much every day for the last several weeks for various remodeling work and touchups/repairs... i can tell you that this is beyond amazing, it borders on science fiction. i cant get 40 square feet of tile pulled up and re-laid in two days. sad, but true. saul is an excellent communicator, has expert-level knowledge of his craft, and doesnt just 'do what you tell him to do'... he will find out what your goals are, what problem you are trying to solve, and then work with you to develop a plan to achieve that, bringing ideas to the table that i never would have thought to consider (because, not a pro, you know? im just like 'i dunno lets make it look nice?') it is very, very rare for me to recommend a vendor or contractor with absolutely no reservations whatsoever, but i would do so for saul and sequoia in a heartbeat. whats more, id send him to my mom if she needed work, and only the very best of the best would ever get THAT recommendation. read more

I am more than pleased with the excellent work Saul Mendez and his company Sequoia Tree Service completed for me. I was having draining issues with rain water from my drains returning back toward my home. I was concerned about potential foundation issues. I requested French drains that drain all my friend roof rainwater out through the front curb of my home. 4 years ago we moved to an older neighborhood on Lake Ray Hubbard that had 3-40 year old Live Oaks. The trees were magnificent but had been neglected for years. I had Sequoia Tree Service trim my beautiful huge Live Oak which I was afraid of using other tree services for. There we several others that came by to get the job, they were much higher in their quotes. I was given a great quote by Sequoia Tree Service and they provided proof of insurance which many others do not. They did a great job and not only done the Live Oak but also trimmed 6 large crepe myrtles and cut down a tall mulberry tree and stacked everything neatly for curb pickup for only $430. We found their truck in the parking lot and my wife just went up and asked if they could trim out trees (this was Christmas Eve) and they came over right after the dude was done grocery shopping and gave us a really reasonable estimate. Then he was like "ok, I can do it in 30 minutes" and I was like "awesome!" So he got another guy and a flatbed to haul away all the trimmings and they did it the same day and the trees look really good. It was super great.
