In person tours (which may be currently on hold) will require an existing interest in and love of horticulture and fruit to appreciate, and this is perhaps not a general-interest tourist attraction as other have pointed out. That said, the owners are making available some true delicacies at excellent prices (including a few species for which they are the only domestic source). The shipping operation is outstanding and local pickups, with coordination, always run smoothly. Appointment Only by phone and cash only during this time. We found this place on Google heading back from Keywest. Called one hour in advance a lady answered the phone and refused to answer my question of what fruit is in season do you have available? She blatantly told me to go on the website, okay it's a Sunday so we did just that . Arrived at the farm was told that it's curbside pick up only. Understandable ...by the way , The fruit on the website are NOT updated as instructed as half of them were not in stock. at this point we are getting Frustrated and asked specifically which fruit ARE IN STOCK , The man ignorantly replied again "the fruits are listed on the website" I said I am reading it directly off your website. Asked which mango do you recommend as there are a bunch on your website the man says " We don't have any more mango but look on the website" haha it's getting a bit comical at this point . Upon them opening up the gate and letting us drive up to the door ,we see fresh mango hanging on the tree and a bunch fell down rotting on the ground , in an unkempt fashion. No mango bc they are not being picked perhaps ? :) The way that this couple speaks to us, with attitude acting like we are bothering them ...they should not be in business. Just tell us you are not open if you are not going to be friendly to your customers, cool with that. We could have driven away at this point , but gave them $55 worth of business For the longan and dragon fruit that you did have . After paying, our change was $5...he came out with a mango in one hand , our change in the other hand. asked if I wanted the mango? was about to accept and thought it was free the way he offered . then he pauses and Says "it'll be $5" lol ! Nice try , it must be a miracle mango for $5. As I can get six organic mangoes at Costco for the same price. Visit another fruit farm if you can , there are several down the street. Great family owned farm. Owners were friendly and answered all our questions regarding different types of Mangoes Florida us to offer. My husband and I took farm tour and it was amazing. We tried many exotic fruits off the tree along the tour and fruit platter was served at the end of tour of all different fruits they grow. We also purchased mango and lychee for home. Both were reasonably price. Will return soon read more

Not a good experience when you drive two hours to go fruit picking and they don't allow you because it was cloudy. I called to confirm they were Open before driving so far. Waste of time and definitely not friendly people. Thankfully we found another place near by where we spent day and purchased the fruits we wanted. Was expecting a great experience based on the reviews but it was definitely an Awful first and last impression. read more

My family and I recently visited Serendib Farms for a tour which was an incredible experience. Wimal and Elita are excellent hosts and they showed us around their garden filled with exotic trees, flowers, and fruits (which we were able to sample along the way). Will, the owner of the farm, is a very nice and honest man. He showed us around even if most fruit are not in season and introduced different varieties of avocados and mangos, it's amazing that his farm has so many varieties of tropical fruits. We picked some star fruit, passion fruit, different avocados from the trees and he also offered fresh coconut, he charged a very reasonable price for the tour and the produces. If you're a lover of exotic tropical fruit, you don't want to miss Serendib Farm. read more

I haven't even made it to the farm nor will I. I called to inquire about lychees, he said call next week. Okay cool, no problem. I called a second time inquire a out some other Asian fruits. Upon him answering, he's telling someone else about his phone ringing too much. I apologize for calling a second time but asked if they had some other fruits. Went to the farm today and even though the gate was closed and nobody was answering the phone we were able to enter because someone was exiting through the gate. We drove in and took the little road that took us to the main house that looked kinda run down and creepy. The man was standing st the doorway and he wasn't particularly friendly but he said he had some fruit inside. We looked at the fruit and was mortified of the quality of it. All the fruit he was offering us looked like garbage that was picked off the ground not collected off the trees. We saw beautiful mangos on the trees and asked him if we can get those. He told us people come and take pictures of those trees that's why he doesn't pick them. $1.00 for a mango that looked like trash, really? How does he stay in business. Oh yes we asked for a tour and was told that we need to make a reservation and have 4 people minimum for a tour. How can anyone make a reservation if according to him the phone doesn't work. Don't bother it's a waste of time going there. We drove for over an hour for nothing. Never again! read more

No. Wrong place for fruits for my group, at least. We came from Wisconsin to visit this place, we were turned away. Only a few, old/rotten mangoes left over and still $1.95 to $2.50 a pound. He wasn't very open about what he grows or available in the field/trees. Very, very dispointed! It will be the first time and last time at this place. My advise: go some where else! read more

Had a great time visiting Serendib for the first time! The family took really good care of us and were so welcoming. Mr. Serendib (is what I'm calling him) gave us a great tour and extremely knowledgeable about all types of fruit and farming. More types and variations of fruit that I'll ever be able to recall. I recently went to Serendib Fruit Farm with friends visiting Miami. We were so impressed with the variety of exotic fruits grown at the farm. The owners, Wimal & Elita were very friendly and welcoming. .They took us on a tour of the farm. It was amazing to see the variety of fruits. Mangoes alone there were more than 30 varieties. Elita cut up some to taste, they were all so delicious. Well, that was not all, there were many varieties of Avocados, Jak fruit, Longans, Custard apples, guava, soursop, dragon fruit, starfruit, and much more exotic fruits. We purchased our favorites at very reasonable prices. This is a place we should visit with our young generation for them to see the beauty & splendor of what mother nature has to offer. I did and the teenagers in the group were spellbound with what they saw for the first time. A great place to visit. read more

I went to Serendib with my wife and my eight year old son Son. We were met by Will, the owner of the farm. Will was an amazing host and gave us a great tour of the farm. He let my son pick fruit right from the trees which he absolutely loved. While Will was giving us the tour, his wife cut some fresh fruit and serves it to us at the end. The farm is a good size and has lots of fruits to pick and it was quite beautiful. They also have chickens and we bought some farm fresh eggs which were delicious. The second we left the farm my son asked me if we could go back next weekend. Thank you Will and we will defineatly see you soon. read more

So glad we listened to the reviews and visited Serendib on our trip to Miami. Will was so accommodating and figured out a time where his wife would be home so we could visit. Elita (sp) could not have been nicer. She took us around the farm and showed us so many of the trees. She even pulled different fruits and leaves off the trees for us to taste right then and there. At the end of the tour, we were treated to a plate of cut up tropical fruit and sat and chatted with her. The hospitality was astounding. If we are ever back in summer when more fruit is ripe, we will do our best to visit! read more

What an experience! My family and I took a recent tour of the Serendib farm and had a great time. Mr. Suaris is extremely knowledgeable and thorough as we toured the tropical farm. He made this educational experience fun and engaging for my daughter (age 7) and son (age 4) as he allowed them to touch the fruits and answered all their questions.
