Once we arrived, we found the tunnel is just the bottom of the start of the trail. While bats had migrated south for the winter, we did see a few flying inside. The trail is about a mile round trip. While we didn't hike it, it didn't appear too challenging. The lost challenging was probably walking down all thise steps to the tunnel. We'll have to make another trip during bat season to see the bats flying out of the cave

The park ranger was knowledgeable and interesting. Seating is outside, on log seats. Dress accordingly. Be sure to get there early, because tickets and seating is limited. You also want to have time to explore before the emergence begins. FYI as much as this is a good family event - you also have to be quiet (no talking) and sit still during the emergence, because noise or lights can scare the bats and cause problems...families with small kids need to keep this in mind, and if you don't think your child is able to keep quiet and relatively still for 30-45 min, this might not be the activity for you.

Common areas seemed cleaned, pool and water slide areas were great However, I noticed a lot of stickers in the grass, which became a daily nuisance. It seems like the property could benefit from some simple upkeep, as certain areas appear a bit tattered. It may sound trivial, but tightening the loose volleyball net, staining the post, and adding edging like railroad ties could enhance the overall appearance. The putt-putt course also felt a bit underwhelming and distressed. The game room is a BIG deal to my boys and many of the machines were plagued with issues, rendering them useless. I hope the owners consider this feedback because we truly enjoyed our time and believe that some minor updates could significantly improve the experience and drive the business forward and dragging more profits in along the way. Just a touch of vision and a little money could better the overall feel. Overall, I would still recommend it for a fun little get away but just think it would be rather easy to get it to a next level with a little tlc. The people couldn't have been more friendly. That's a big piece to the puzzle.

It's basically just a patch of green space with a few picnic tables and benches on the property. However, it does have a very nice covered pagoda to sit in. It is completely ringed by parking spaces, which fortunately are not metered. Basically just a nice place to come to after you've been shopping on the main street.
