Where do I start with this train reck. The grounds were unkept weeds everywhere. As soon as I walked in, I knew immediately that this was a mistake. But unfortunately my family had already made the decision. The deco resembling that of a sleazy night club/lounge set in the 1970's. The owner Adrian did not seem to have any care or concern for my family's loss. Praying with the family seemed more formality than anything. This is a place that should have never existed in any community let alone central Texas. The empathy shown was only for his his bottom line. If you are looking for a professional do not come here. There was no checklist nor outline given to the family that detailed what to expect for the next couple of days prior to the funeral. The only concern was when the payment would come. Who was paying and how much money they would receive. Then and only then, would we receive more information. They did not deduct the items that we asked them to remove. They charged us for a plastic floral arrangement, that the owner (Adrian) picked out. I should have expected nothing less, from an individual wearing purple shoes. Then when we naturally complained they took it off the bill. They stole the design I created for my brother's program and video and repurposed it for their use. This was done without my expressed consent or written permission. This is illegal for individual, company or other wise. They told us the night before the viewing they were closed. Which was confusing, as if they forgotten the viewing was the very next day. After that call we were called once more and asked if we could come at 8 p.m. to bring his clothes. The next day, the viewing was so unorganized, we had a video prepared that we wanted shown during the viewing. Only one individual was present and he knew nothing about technology nor the computer. The individual was just there to open the door we were informed. The owner was MIA the entire time. Some other individuals arrived and rudely told us that we could not accompany them to the back to retrieve the files from the type c drive. Just when you think the cleanup has begun for the wreckage. Cut to the next day, which was even worse. My brothers funeral, I arrived at the church to make sure everything was ready to go about 9:20 a.m., they were late bringing my brother to the church by almost an hour. On our way back from the burial the driver was lost and was unable to follow his own GPS. This was absolutely a nightmare nothing Serene about this establishment for my family nor my brother. They made a difficult situation even worse. Maybe if you get the "Deluxe" packages with the fake angles, horse and carriage this is where they shine. But since my family didn't want to "Super-Size", this is the treatment you receive. This place is solely based on the bottom line, the amount of money that's spent. How they could be the number one sought after funeral home in Central Texas (Per The Owner) is lost on me. But America does love fast food so maybe that's the appeal. In closing don't take your loved one nor anyone else you care about to an establishment that has packages, with the description of a fast food menu. I over heard the owner Renee being very rude to my 70yr old mother who asked her for the address in which my aunts services will be held ( her reply to my mom "wait aren't you the same person that called a few days ago") If someone calls a thousand times in this line of business you have to be a people person even when your having a bad day we are already going through a lot having to bury someone you must learn to have compassion, understanding but most of all patience or better yet hire someone who can it's not always about the money being rude won't get you no where this is why your very own people don't like to use your services and don't refer SLC because your rude and disrespectful when people or simply trying to get answers and mourning for their love one they lost while trying to make burial arrangements ...... read more

My mother in law passed away on Friday, 2/24/23, we met with Adrian on Monday, 2/27/23, and the first red flag for me was, he did not pray with the family. He immediately started discussing numbers after asking when were we trying to bury "Mother." Her Son's were grieving, this was their very first experience making funeral arrangements, they were vulnerable, and Serenity Life Creations took advantage of them during the most difficult time of their lives. They were speechless, so Adrian stated, "Ya'll don't want to leave her out too long, she's light skinned she's not dark like me, you don't want her to get darker." "What about Friday?" I said that's really soon and we prefer a weekend not a weekday. He said, "well Saturday we're booked. We can have it Friday before another funeral." I asked what time and he said 10 a.m. I told him that was too early. So he said, what about 1 p.m.? Her Son's went ahead and agreed to the date and time, under the assumption that if they left their mother out for too long, she would turn darker, since she was light skinned. As he discussed the cost for everything, I jotted down as much as I could on one of his business cards that was placed on the table. I asked if he was going to print everything out, and he stated, "I'm going to send it to your email. Are you writing on that card?" I said, "Yes!" He stated, "let me get you some paper, those cards are expensive." I proceeded to tell him, there was no need for the paper if he was sending all the information by email. I asked if they provided flowers, he said, "we provide the casket spray but if you want to bring some flowers, you can." He told her Son's to write out an obituary and send him about six pictures. After speaking with him for about 30 minutes he stood up and said, "payment is due Wednesday." He had no compassion, no patience, he was inconsiderate, and all he cared about was the payment. I had reached out to several cosmetologists for my mother in law's hair and make up. Every single person declined due to having a bad experience with SLC, except for one person, who stated she also had a bad experience with them. We even offered to pay them extra for their services but they declined. On Thursday, 3/2/23 I went to turn in her obituary. I typed it up and tried to hand it to Adrian's daughter. She said she couldn't take it. I asked why and she said because it had to be typed and emailed. I said it is typed. She said we have to email it to a company. I said ma'am there's no way you can scan it to your email, she said no ma'am. I couldn't understand how they were being an inconvenience to the family during our loss. She asked me how did I type it and I told her, and she just stood there with a blank stare. She didn't even try to say, well let me see what I can do. I told her she's going to have to figure it out, which she did. When discussing how many pallbearers we would need, he said we needed quite a few because she's heavy. They didn't even bother to ask for the names of the pallbearers. I told my niece about how they made us feel so she wrote a review. While my fiancée was visiting with his mother, Adrian asked if he could speak with him about the review. I found that very insensitive. The nerve of him to interrupt him while he's having a one on one moment with his mother to discuss a review. Family from out of town were unable to make it to the funeral due to the arrangements being so soon. They also sent 2 standing sprays and a flower that Serenity did not put out for her funeral. When I called to question them about it, there response was, "Oh we must have forgot to put them out." That was very unprofessional and again inconsiderate. They lied about it, stating they took the two standing sprays to the cemetery. When I called them out on it, they said, "oh we have them here." I asked if they would drop the off to her mother and they told me to text the address which I did at 6:12 p.m. They did not show up until after 10 p.m. I'm very dissatisfied with their services and wouldn't recommend them to ANYONE! read more
