Now back to the doctor... I appreciate the thoroughness. For the problem I had, he gave me the options from conservative to aggressive. Dr. Warren Kaplan and his son Dr. Adam Kaplan are amazing. Dr. Adam Kaplan saw me during my first visit and quickly diagnosed the problem. He started me on a course to correct the problem. Today I went back for a second visit whereby Dr. Warren Kaplan made a mold of my foot (needed for the next phase of corrective action). These doctors know their stuff! They are true experts in their field and so friendly. Love these guys! Definitely recommend!! https://www.kaplanpodiatry.com/ By the way, my wife took my daughter to Kaplan Podiatry about 10 years ago. My daughter (about 10 at the time) had suffered an injury playing soccer. Dr. Kaplan quickly diagnosed the issue and the injury healed. There was no doubt where I was going when it came time for my foot problem!

I found it odd and somewhat ethically questionable to sell products (the appearance of impropriety) but she's the professional so I trusted her advice and purchased it from her. When I got home, I did an Amazon search for similar products (the only active ingredient is a 1% solution of tolnaftate) and discovered many products priced around $2 per ounce. The Formula 7 was $45 for HALF an ounce! Holy crap! I went to the office to return the Formula 7 but they washed their hands of it, telling me to contact the manufacturer. Yeah. Like that's going to work, considering the fact that I hadn't used it yet. Dead end. Irresponsible and unfair. Did I mention the fact that she splayed my toes and told me, without taking any measurements, that I needed wide shoes? Well, I may be wrong, but 70 years and 15 pairs of shoes in normal width with no blisters, callouses, corns or other issues would tend to contradict that assessment. Did I also mention she also sells shoes? Do yourself a big favor and use your feet to take you elsewhere.

I learned that my fifth broken metatarsal was broken and was told I would need to wear a cast for the summer. She was adamant that I stay off of my foot for 8-10 weeks. I did as I was told and today my foot is healed. I am still doing therapy and being cautious but overall, everything is good. I am a runner and plan to start training again in November. Dr. Shah is great and I will continue to work with her as my permanent podiatrist for ongoing foot care as I continue running. I highly recommend her. She has great bedside manner, answers all of your questions and really encouraged me to slow down and take my recovery seriously. I had to make life adjustments but it was worth it. She has several offices, Edison, Monmouth Junction and Monroe, which are easy to get to. The staff is courteous and the offices are very clean and comfortable. Feel free to ask me any questions about working with her. I am very happy!

I went in there to see Dr. Varun Gujral, whatever you do, never go to this place. This doctor will…read morecripple you and then lie about it, but what he doesn't understand is that I recorded the entire event, both visits. I simply went in there to get prescription running shoes. That's it. A pair of shoes because I'm diabetic. The doctor came in the room with no gloves on, starts touching my feet. I told him, please put gloves on. He didn't even pay attention. He looks at my foot. He grabs a wooden Q-tip out of a jar unstirred and says to me, it looks like you have a hole in the bottom of your foot. Did you step on something? I said no. I checked my feet all the time, and then he proceeds to stab the wooden Q-tip deep into my foot. Blood shot out, got all over him, and then he took a scalpel and cut a V hole in the bottom of my foot to try to clean out the damage he had done. I'm diabetic. That wound he gave me is not even close to being healed, and it's four months now that I cannot walk on that foot. The infection he gave me from that wound caused the bones in my feet to die. Now I have to have my foot amputated and all because of this piece of shit doctor. I'm not done with him by a long shot. As soon as they amputate my leg from the knee down because I'm not doing 3 toes here then go back in six months and get another toe cut off and then the whole foot I'm not doing that bullshit. I'm taking it off at the knee. I got shot in both of these legs just below my knee during the war so I want them both off. I meet with amputation team September 30. The reason this foot needs to come off is because of this doctor and his malpractice. Take a look at the picture of the wound on my foot that he cut into me. It doesn't even look any different today because of diabetes and he's a diabetic doctor? I'm going to take his license when I go to court. The emergency room surgeons told me that never should've been done to me. The lawsuit will be filed right after my leg is removed. So Dr. Varun Gujral, I'm gonna sue your eyes out so you don't do this to another patient. You're a real POS

When addressed the receptionist was nonchalant and just said ok we will fix it. But why was it there in the first place. Very sketchy. When I arrived to my follow-up appointment the rude receptionist said I had a balance on my account. So I paid it on my UHC app. After 20 mins she told me that I will not be seen until my balance is paid. I advised her that I paid it and showed her the receipt. She said she didn't see it on her end and I let her know that it says it may take a while to show as posted. She then asked me what UHC was. You would think she would know the abbreviation of United health care. Smh. At this point I was annoyed because when booking the appointment they could have told me that I would not be seen until my payment posted. It was very unprofessional and the receptionist was very ghetto. I ended up just canceling my appointment because I had to take time away from work to see a doctor that had me waiting 20 minutes just to tell me that I can't be seen. I can't make this up. And then I was prescribed some mediocre cream. After doing my research I learned that doctors wouldn't recommend this cream. The whole experience was absolutely horrible and I will be getting a second opinion. I would not recommend.
