Nice place to get a snack while driving through John Day fossil beds. This place is just west of the junction to get to Mitchell, fossil, and spray and on the south / west side of the road. Staff is super friendly. We came for the pie which was recommended by the staff at the sheep rock unit museum. Pies are homemade and small - like 7" diameter. Good from 2 really hungry hikers or 3 normal appetites. We opted for cherry and it was delicious. Their cakes looked good too though I found out they were from Costco so stick with the pies. read more

Stopped in here on a motorcycle trip, located in the middle of beautiful Central Oregon, Delicious food, friendly staff, recommended!

We stopped by this place at 8:30pm. The sign said open til 8, but the lights were on and door open. Randy said "come on in, I will fix you up a hamburger and fries" Mind you the grill was clean and oil turned off. He was VERY friendly and wouldn't turn us away. The burger was one of the best we have had. Thank you Randy and Johnny for you hospitality and staying late to feed us before our long trip back to Portland. read more

The food is good, The Service is nice and the restaurant was kinda dirty. I think it is an ok place to stop if your hungry

Hands down the best dining experience ever! We sat outside and thoroughly enjoyed the view, the setting and the conversation. My friend had the rib meal that was delicious and I had an amazing mushroom burger and a side salad (salad special made when I requested it). And the CARROT CAKE....OH MY WORD!
