Thank God for this espresso stop! I was having an awful headache because my dumb butt forgot to bring portable coffee maker on this road trip thru rural Oregon. I really wasn't expecting it but all the sudden Route 66 Espresso popped up literally out of nowhere. Great drinks, very friendly service and it was super quick. My dogs also loved their dog treats, they would definitely rate this place 5/5. It's good to know this place is there to save the day. If you're ever around this smal community for any reason, even just passing through I'd recommend stopping by for the quick pick-me-up. :)

This place is under new ownership as of September 2020. The drink was luke-warm at best as well as weak and ungodly expensive. Sure miss Christy who use to own it. She was always so sweet, the drinks were perfect and affordable and she never treated you like she was holier than you. If you're traveling east continue on to Dayville. If you're traveling west continue on to Prineville.

The food is homemade. The breakfast burritos are big and yummy!! The Pumpkin Latte was also delicious!

So, on our way to the amazing Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, I saw this little coffee kiosk and pulled up to the window.

She was running the whole time we were there. But always had a smile on her face! Food and ambiance was what we were looking for. This is small town USA at its best. If you're passing through Mitchell Oregon you must stop! We plan to stop on our way back. How could we not. Love this place!!!!

Tiger Town Brewing was on my list for breweries to try for a long time. So when we went to the area…read moreto see the Painted Hills we made sure to stop here for lunch and to try their beers. I will get to the beers first. We tasted several different ones and unfortunately we didn't feel very impressed. Some of the beers had an odd aftertaste to them. But in the end we settled on the Tokyo Chad. This was a Japanese Rice Lager and we liked this beer relatively well. Not the best Japanese Lager we have ever come across but it was okay. Flavor features in this beer is biscuity and grainy. What we liked best about Tiger Town was the food. I got their cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese and their Sidewinder Fries (similar to French Fries only curvy) were excellent. Everything with the meal tasted good and fresh. The atmosphere is fun and has some quirks going on with it mainly with the pictures they have hung up in the dining area. Staff was very good. They were attentive and very friendly and cheerful to interact with. If we are back in the area we would certainly come here for the food again as we were very impressed with it. We just weren't too terribly wild about the beer.
