For tax preparation I just would never go to this place. The owner is an expert but some of her workers are just horrible. They messed up my taxes for 2 years. and it was the same person. I found out that until we missed the date line and I started getting letters from the IRS. I called the IRS and the state directly and told me that I was delinquent on the taxes for two periods. Unbelievable! If it is urgent and need to do your taxes at this place then ask for the owner. She is very good. STAY AWAY from Sandra Leyva and her employees!! This women moved her business out of the city of Chicago because she knows she's been scamming all of the Latinos In Chicago. I used to do my taxes with her because my mom did business with her father many years ago. Sandra is rude! And tries to intimidate you if you don't know tax related questions. She also messed up my sisters immigration application. We're no longer working with her and have to Amend her application now. I went to another lawn first before being referred and they were extremely expensive and rude after I informed I didn't wanted to have my case worked on by them. There is no rating low enough for this business. While Servicios Leyva posts all over their office that they are NOT LAWYERS, they still volunteer to provide services that only a lawyer can and should provide. I used their services to petition for my husband to get a spouse visa 10 years ago. They advised us to travel to Mexico and apply from there; they assured us that we would have an interview and would need a pardon, but that they would have everything together that we would need. In the end, they were dead wrong. When we arrived for our interview, my husband was given a 10-year bar instead of a visa. For 10 years, he was forbidden from entering the country or petitioning for another fisa. Every immigration lawyer I have seen since that experience has told me that ANYONE who knows immigration law would have known to discourage us from leaving the country when we did. I have heard that there are agencies working to shut this business down. Given the 10 years of suffering that my family has endured as a result of the terrible advice we received here, I truly hope they succeed! read more

I have been doing my taxes with Servicios Leyva for the past 15 years. I started out doing them with Mr. Leyva (may he rest in peace) and now I go to his daughter. I have been very happy with their services. I also feel they are very courteous and knowledgeable. I will have to admit thought...that I did try H & R block one of those years and they charged me 3 times more than what I am used to. At the end it cost me over $230 for taxes with H & R block but they said that I should not worry about it since it is coming out of my refund. But with Servicios Leyva, I was only paying $80; how did H&R Block come up with $230. I did get my refund in 3 days that year, but it cost me so much. With Electronic Filing that I get done at Servicios Leyva, I get my refund in 14 days; that is soon enough for me! and I only had to pay $80! I never strayed again. It is not worth it. Thank you S. Leyva for all your help year after year. You are also worth the wait. I went back to apply for my Citizenship. I only did taxes with Servicios Leyva and totally forgot that they had knowledge in Immigration stuff too. I first had gone to an attorney that wanted to charge me $1,500 for the Citizenship process. I cant remember if that included the $190 imm fee? but any way, I almost had a heart attack. I then remembered that S. Leyva did Imm processing too. So I went to her and no doubt it was only 5cents on the dollar compared to that attorney. Thank goodness for offices like this that look out for the "little" people. Maria P. read more
