Following a referral from a friend I had my taxes done at A&J. I was happy with the service however the preparer, Caldon Hermiz, failed to enter my bank account number correctly for the electronic deposit or to provide any written documentation or trace for which account he actually did send the funds to. Following 4 months of investigation, led by yours personally, with countless hours spent at the IRS office, on the phone and pleas with my bank to help me, I learned the funds had been deposited to another person's bank account and had to be retracted by the IRS.....dealing with the IRS has been a constant source of frustration leading to no resolution. I would have appreciated A&J's assistance, counsel for how to handle the situation or even a simple apology but they have ignored every attempt I have made to contact them. Mistakes are human and I am understanding of Caldon's error, however where I have a major problem with this business is that I have attempted to contact them with over 10 attempts (all documented) by phone & fax when they would not answer their phone, with no return phone call to assist me in resolving the matter. I was simply requesting a written letter to submit to the IRS stating the account number the funds were in fact deposited to. This would have taken Caldon 5 minutes and saved him and A&J from me filing an official complaint with the IRS, Better Business Bureau and Yelp. However the owners of this business have neglected to return any of my phone calls. I scolded my friend for referring me to this business and he then told me that in one instance he had to take the day off work to go to A&J after following repeated failures for A&J to return his calls regarding his questions. I am not sure why this friend referred me in the first place however I warn you: Stay far away from this disaster of a business. read more
