The clean hair cut & follow up shave is refreshing & leaves you feeling great while smelling the fresh barber shop smell & sitting in the quality retro barber chairs is always a good time with quality music, for an uptown classy beat. For a fairly busy day, my wait time wasn't bad. Maybe 30-45 minutes. The owner is extremely nice, he had an assortment of items for his clients. Vibe - I felt like it was watching an old movies, everyone knew everyone. They were talking about family, life, and events around the Tri Cities. It felt very welcoming, and friendly. James the barber/owner was fantastic! He was very detail oriented. His skills are great, his bedside manner is fantastic. I definitely can't wait to continue to support this locally owned business. This is where Aaron's BarberShop used to be. Was really bummed when I saw Aaron's leave. The guys who came in there know how a barbershop is supposed to work. Couldn't be happier with Set Apart Barbershop. I don't need a wash and wax and manicure. Just a hair cut. I don't want to make an appointment two months in advance. Just walk in whenever I am free. I don't need a hot towel and a scalp massage. Just make me look sharp and send me on my way. I got things to do. James is great at what he does. Reminds me of the old school shops I grew up going to. Worth coming in for just the vibes and conversation. The prices are great and the cuts are spot on. Showed up a little before opening with a 3yr old and a 4yr old. James got us in right away, and James and George did GREAT jobs (the boy's mohawks look very cool!) James and George were very patient with my little dudes, who still are a bit squirrelly. 10/10 will definitely be back. read more
