This was my first experience buying car insurance on my own (previously I was under my parents' coverage). Allstar's offices are modest, but the staff was nice and seemed like a well-organized group. The whole process was very easy, and Jason, my agent, patiently went over all the different liability options and coverages. He didn't push me to buy anything higher than the state requirements, but own my own I did decide get coverage a bit above the minimum requirements. I don't know what else I could ask for, the people here were friendly, easy to work with, and I got what I think is a very good rate.

But I kept life insurance with him because it was Term Life and if I switched, I'd have to renew the term. Problem is, they kept calling me multiple times a year, using Christmas and my birthday as an excuse, as well as once or twice besides that, to keep hawking products. I tried asking them to stop calling me, they said they would, but didn't. Then when I complained again and hung up on the person, James Brown himself called me back, his voice quivering in anger, telling me I should never swear at his staff, that it was unprofessional, that he wouldn't have it, and that he didn't want my business. I tried telling him twice that I didn't swear, but he talked over me, repeated his message, and hung up. THAT was unprofessional! The relationship started out good, but now it feels like all I get out of it is a phone spammer I can't make go away, and who gets in my face when I TRY to make them go away. Definitely switching my Term Life, even if it costs more, and I've blocked them on my iPhone.
