I can't believe how things went downhill. I have been seeing Dr Dyer Martin for years. I had an appointment for my annual exam in September after making this appointment 6 months prior. They called me 1 week before my appointment and told me I have to reschedule. She is not available till February of next year. I have to wait another 6 months. I am 64 years old and I have some concerns I wanted to discuss with her. They told me I can see someone else! Not only being upset about that, I had my blood work done for my physical and they ended up changing me $399. after I was told it was covered. I think it is time to find another doctor. They lose two stars because of a comment a practitioner made about my religious beliefs. Yes, it's not their fault she said what they said but the experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Otherwise they might get a five star review. I've been going to this location for about 7 years now. I like this practice. I've always been squeezed in when I needed it. The staff are always nice. With exception of a few shall we call them "personality conflicts" I have with some of the staff. When I mean staff I include nurses. I don't get to see my regular Dr there very often because I don't make appointments too far in advance because I'm in for mostly 'emergency appointments' but most of my experiences with the Doctors, NPs and PAs have been positive. I would like to be able to say I would agree with Lai-Yee B. about them being judgmental but I don't know the story there. However, I have my own. There is one practitioner there that I was going to on a regular basis. I once weighed 385 lbs. I discussed trying to lose weight with her many times. I even was on my way to weight loss surgery at one time. Once we had a conversation about going to OA (Over eaters Anonymous). I said that it was against my religious beliefs to go to OA and I told her what my religious beliefs were. She pointed to me and said "Its is really working out for you?!" Yes, they are a Catholic organization. However, If you go to their website and you look at their mission it says "Respect and compassion for the dignity and diversity of life". I guess she forgot about that, Regardless, I just don't accept appointments with her anymore and the place is so big I haven't seen her since that day. Otherwise, it's a great practice to go to. Today my son had an appointment time of 1430. We did not get called back until 1510. I understand that people run behind, but they should tell you when you ask, like I did after watching several people come in and get called before my son did. This isn't the first time this has happened, but will be the last. Now we sit in the room waiting for the doctor to come in.......... Has 15 min thus far. I am growing impatient by the minute. So far we have been here for an 1 1/2 hour for an simple physical. read more

Nice, caring doctors but a star taken away for long waiting time in exam room. Also, go to St. Mary's for x-rays unless you like inappropriate hugging from Bonnie, the tech. (disregard, if she is no longer there). I still wouldn't go any place else. read more

Been going there for awhile and things were ok but not any more. Had problems in the spring and could not get to see my regular Dr. as she was always booked up so i was put with another Dr. who put me on medicine that i could NOT take with the medicine i was on after i had surgery. Another Dr. called me in for i was having major problems and was told by this new Dr. that i should have never been put on this for it was black boxed and if i took both i could end up dying....REALLY... when i did get to see my regular Dr. i got called in to the exam room quickly but ended up waiting for almost a hr. for her to come in. Need my narcotic medicine that i have been on and when i call in no matter how many work in the front i get a answering service and leave a message but it has been 4 days and i have heard nothing...need a new practice unless i can change to Dr. Jolly, i believe her name is. read more

I've been a patient of this practice for years. Recently I switched providers as my Dr had left the practice and I met with a nurse practitioner. I was processed relatively fast and brought back into the examination area within minutes. In receiving my annual physical the nurse practitioner had to step out of the room to check on something, as she returned I informed her I had one more question, she looked at me and advised me my 30 minutes was up and that I would have to schedule a follow up appointment. I thought she was joking (I had only met with her for approx 15 minutes) and went on to ask her my question, she looked at me and stated "no really, our time is up if you have any other questions you can schedule another appointment" and left the room. I was shocked!!! Minus the fact that I hadn't met with her for 30 minutes, she could have answered my questions in under 1 minute. Do they really find it satisfactory for the patient to schedule a follow up appointment that they will be billed for (confirmed this with management), take time off from work and come back for someone to answer a simple question? Extremely poor patient care from my perspective and I will not be returning. When I brought this to managements attention I was distraught in how he handled the situation. Basically arguing with me and coming across as condescending. All I was trying to do was advise them of the situation and see if this is a normal process. I'm equally disappointed in the response from the nurse practitoner and management and will not be returning to this practice. read more

I got billed for a procedure I didn't need and didn't ask for. When I tried to get it worked out with the billing department, I was left a message on my phone that "the doctor stood behind her notes". In other words, it was the doctor's word vs mine...and I lost. Don't let this happen to you. read more

I've seen a PA and Dr.s and have been very pleased with their thorough exams, medications and referrals, when needed. Lab draws are quick and relatively painless. Staff is courteous, if a bit reserved. I've never had to wait too long, either for an appointment or in the waiting area. read more

Incredibly rude service! From the MD's to the nurses to the front desk they don't seem to realize how unpleasant they are. I would suggest any other place for any type of treatment. read more

I have been going to this practice for 15 years and it has seriously gone down hill. Many practitioners have left and patients are now "just a number." They have a significant number of staff where English is a second language. Sorry, not interested in communiaton problems especially when it comes to my health care. You are not able to see a practitioner you want to see. You have to take whomever is available. There is no care in this health care, just bill, in and out. I have experienced such poor customer service, disrespect and been shown how unimportant our business and health are that finally after all these years I am making the effort to leave. They continue to take patients but don't have enough providers. The quality of patient care is sub-par. Oh, and whatever you do, do not see Dr. Nazar - she is awful and does not uphold the medical oath she took as a doctor. Jack Redding is great but hard to get in with because he is one of the few great providers there. Look elsewhere for healthcare especially if you want customer service, professionalism and want a relationship with your doctor. read more

I would sincerely warn anyone against using Seton Health. I have experienced the most unhelpful and outright rude customer service of my life, as well as the most convoluted, contradictory, and convoluted billing practices. I have been shocked by the lack of clarity and the overall lack of any apparent desire to actually help people, though again, this applies to the customer service and billing departments rather than clinical treatment. Please do think twice about using Seton Health if you have any intention of applying for financial assistance or any of their billing options other than payment on the day of treatment. I hope that no one else will have to go through what I've been through with them - 7 months post-treatment and still being routinely subjected to their condescension and nonsensical practices while I attempt to rectify my account.
