Yeah, this place has its good and its bad. In my personal experience, which is, of course, all I can talk about with any degree of certainty, the good is very good and the bad is pretty bad. The good, in my experience, is largely my NP. She's excellent, communicates well, makes things very clear to me, and I can consider her "my NP", in that see her every time I go, unlike the doctor-go-round I rode at the last practice I used where I never saw the same doctor twice in a row. I don't know if that's how they usually do things at OMC; I just made it clear to whomever I saw the first couple of times I went there that that's why I was switching practices and what I was looking for, and whether because I said that or because that's just how they do things there, they've made it happen and I really appreciate that. They also understood that I prefer to see a woman practitioner and if my NP is unavailable for any reason then they'll set me up with another female doctor/NP. So all that's great. Where they have fallen down kind of consistently in my experience is in their communication - and that's a big deal, because communication is the foundation of every successful relationship, and if that's not there, you've got a real problem. I went to a dental practice to have a tooth extracted, and they needed a medical release from OMC, so they faxed their request over, and it was never responded to. So I went back in a couple of weeks later, and the process was repeated, with the same result. At this point, I went in to OMC in person to talk to someone at the desk, and she was great and apologized that they were way behind on their faxes (that's a very bad thing in it of itself), and assured me that she would see that the release got over to the dental practice that day...and it never did. That tooth is still in my head (thankfully it doesn't bother me or if this would've been an even bigger problem). So I guess, long story short, I love my practitioner but I'm not as crazy about the practice itself. They do some things well and some other things not well at all. As such, I can recommend trying them perhaps, and seeing what your own experience is like, but unfortunately I can't just give a wholehearted recommendation. read more

I've been a pt. at Oldendorf Medical x 10+ yrs & always see " Dr O" & am very happy with his care. I had a follow up visit with nurse practitioner Claude BORNE today & walked out in tears. As a nurse myself married to a Dr. & working in the system & both providing care & recieving care for decades.....I have never recieved or experienced worse care from anyone ever. He was disrespectful, unprofessional & inappropriate during the visit. I walked out in tears. He should be reported. Beware of this person. I love this place! They help me with my breathing when no one else could. I always, ALWAYS receive a call back in a short time. They are the most professional then I have very encountered. Horrible place, horrible nurses, horrible up front staff. I have called multiple times leaving messages for nurse to get back to me about a issue im having(im pregnant and my obgyn said to call my primary) and no call back from anyone. Insane that a doctors office wont even get back to its patients. Trash place, think about going else where because this place wont take care of you. Revolving door of doctors as well. I have been going to this practice for five years now. It`s one of the few Doctor`s Offices remaining that still answer calls "live". The Nurses are caring, informed, familiar, and knowledgeable. On the phone and in person. There is also a patient portal to communicate with staff if it`s something that can be handled in this manner. The portal also shows your test and lab results as ordered by your Physician. They work diligently with my Pharmacies to keep my maintenance medications flowing with refills as needed. I am called several times a year for follow up with regard to my well being in general in helping my Physician decide if a office visit, a specialist office visit, lab or any other medical tests are needed. This practice is one of the few private practices remaining. If you are a fan of direct care that is efficient and compassionate this should be an option for you to explore. If something doesn`t go quite right be fair and express your need with the same kindness you expect. You will be heard and there will be a solution. Anything with regard to billing should be directed at the billing company. They are pleasant and efficient to deal with. As with anything new, give it a go a few times. I wasn't going to write a review. I want to preface this that when I came in to transfer my records to my new primary care I appreciate April at the front desk being empathetic and listening to me. I had a difficult pregnancy and my postpartum has also been difficult. After almost 4 months of physical therapy and chiro for severe back pain (I couldn't even stand and carry my daughter past 10 minutes the pain would be so severe) my chiro finally asked me to ask my primary if I could have a back MRI ordered to check things. I had a telehealth appointment with Priscela, and not only was her attitude to me condescending but she made it seem like my ask for the pain I have been having for almost FOUR MONTHS didn't really warrant a back MRI and even if she put it in my insurance probably wouldn't approve it. This was not the first time I have felt gaslit and made to feel like I was making pain up in my head with this provider. I finally decided to switch primaries the same day, and they saw me, heard my complaint put in a referral and the VERY NEXT DAY my insurance approved it and I have a back MRI now for next week. Other than Jeffrey, who understood during my pregnancy that I was also struggling with a lot of anxiety, every other provider I have seen here is rude to me, makes me feel like I am making up the pain in my head. Even if I am concerned about something that turns out to be nothing you should still be empathetic to your patient, we chose YOU for our healthcare! Honestly, I am super upset this has been my experience here, and if you are looking for doctors who care I would not recommend this place or these providers. Especially if you are a patient like myself who acknowledges that I struggle with anxiety, a little compassion goes a long way. read more

Was so looking forward to the appointment. Waited weeks to get in. Arrived and called from my car as required. Mike of the Answering service took my info and said they were having phone problems but he would forward my check in and they'd call. After waiting in my car for an hour I went in and they said they have no mike and I missed my appointment and needed reschedule. A simple I'm sorry would have gone a long way. while majority of the office staff, doctors and nurses are great and I have never had a bad experience with them in my 20 plus years i have been going to this practice, I must say today while checking in, it was bought to my attention I had a past due balance. While looking over the invoice I had a couple of questions about the time frame I was being billed for as I had switched insurances for a brief period(it appeared to be the time frame on the invoice) The receptionist who was very professional and nice went and got the Office Manager April. I must say she is not pleasant at all. No customer service skills and had no idea what she was talking about. When i questioned her and asked her very simply to confirm the two dates that were on this invoice were both dates I was in office for a visit, she became very agitated and very unprofessional telling me oh honey these charges are in collections from 2012. This was right after she just got done saying they don't take patients that have past due balances , oh ok so you let me have a past due balance for 12 years now!! She was nasty and told me to call billing and I would not be allowed to make future appointments. Her whole demeanor was as if she is better than you and was not willing to help at all. Just disgusting behavior. While waiting I called billing and they confirmed the dates and I advised it was an insurance issue and provided them with the correct information (THESE CHARGES WERE NOT FROM 2012 AS APRIL ADVISED-they were current year charges) . They stated they would submit the claim. Meanwhile after my appointment I go to check out , at this point I cannot make any future appointments so i advised the receptionist that it should be cleared up. The receptionist pulls the account up and says wow they processed that fast let me speak to my manager. She comes back out and the office manager refuses to unlock my account to allow me to make the future appointments. She advised it was submitted for processing and until it's been approved I cannot make my appointments. I understand it's my responsibility to make/pay any copays etc that the insurance doesn't cover, but why not let me make my follow up appointments that are 3 months out. if it's not resolved (which I know it will be but if it wasn't) call me and have me pay before I come in. just very unprofessional . So I asked should i call you to schedule them or will you call me , they will call me. We will see!! Just an all around terrible experience today and totally uncalled for. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Migden for several years. If I could create the perfect doctor from scratch, I couldn't do better. Her medical knowledge is phenomenal, and her people skills are even better. My health has improved dramatically because of her efforts. She makes it seem as if she's a great friend who just happens to be an excellent doctor. She listens, makes sure she understands patient concerns, explains things well, motivates, and always follows through. Came presenting with Lyme symptoms and wanting a simple test, waited a month to get in to only been seen for about 10 minutes in which the provider spent more than 89% of it babbling about himself, his prior place of employment and other doctors he knew there. Seemed to immediately lose interest the moment the subject shifted off of him and didn't even allow me to finish listing my symptoms before seemingly getting distracted and ushering me to check out. When I went to review the labs he sent in, Lyme was not on there, and when I asked the nursing staff at the front to add it, they said they'd need to ask him before they would be able to do so, and that I would be contacted when that occurred. I was never contacted. Glad others had better experiences than I but personally I wouldn't risk it, you'll likely wind up wasting a lot of time and money. read more

I called this am to see a provider since they have sat am hours, was told no provider was available. It would have to be a video visit. I declined but was also told that even if it was during the week that it would still be a video visit because I thought I had a sinus infection...what kind of doctors office only sees well patients? I do not have a fever, am not coughing, etc....What is the point of having a physician if you cannot go when you are sick...you can't check fluid in the ears or things like that virtually... I went to this practice twice. My PA was absolutely wonderful but the office staff continually confuses me with another patient regardless of how many times I correct them. I no longer feel like the office is capable of keeping track of my accurate healthcare information or private identifiers if they technically can't keep record of who I am. I'm leaving one star for the man who's responsible for scheduling appointments. He has always been and continues to be incredibly rude and patronizing. Not only does he verbally mistreat patients, he acknowledged the practice's website has incorrect hours of operation. Maybe someone should fix that so people aren't missing their appointments? The ONLY reason I'm even willing to communicate with this practice is because my boyfriend has an autoimmune disease and needs a referral to receive his infusions, and everywhere else was booked very far out.
